We had just moved to the area and got referred to this veterinary hospital by our friend for our senior dog. We absolutely love the staff and Dr. Laura Such. They all treated us so warmly and Dr. Such was so knowledgeable and compassionate with our sweet Charlie girl. We would highly recommend this office for your fur babies. They go above and beyond to make sure your fur baby is happy and healthy.

The vet that looked at my dog, must’ve not taken in consideration his age and this new librela shot. Maybe it wasn’t for him because of his age too hard on his body now he can’t walk she didn’t go over any other pain, anti-inflammatory medicine that might be easier for him, also the tech which I don’t even know her name because she did not even introduce herself just came and shot him and left probably didn’t even look at his chart to see where the best injection would be on his body as he has fatty tissue everywhere they didn’t even take x-rays or ultrasounds to come up with the best plan to treat him

The entire staff at VCA are professional and kind. We could tell right away how much they care for animals by how they treated our Snoopy who can be challenging to say the least! We've been going to Dr. Pollack since the '80s. Our animals have always loved him. He's an extraordinary doctor that has always been really gentle with our dogs and cats. (My grandma goes there as well - and has for several years.) The staff there is extremely nice, and accommodating. If you're looking for a vet and you're not sure which one to choose, look no further. He's definitely number one in my book.

All the employees were fantastic to me. My dog was breathing weird and took him in. The vet was amazing and understanding. He ended up passing on. They gave us a beautiful box with his ashes, paw prints in a frame and an pin with a dog with a halo. It was super sweet. Thank you.

Traumatic and horrible experience with our senior cat. Big upsellers of tests, and medications which cost 3X as much as getting them at the pharmacy. Medical Director cold and uninterested. The younger vet misdiagnosed and prescribed, our cat got sicker and started to have seizures. When we tried to call back the next day, the vet had resigned -very typical of corporate vets - factories that don't keep staff. No urgency for anyone to talk to us about what was happening. Finally senior vet called at 8PM and could not have been more disinterested. We'd never go here again, and have had a wonderful experience since at PIsmo Beach. Support local, corporate does not care about the outcome, only the $$$

This is a very professional and friendly place where you're treated quite quickly. It is also spacious so you can feel comfortable while you wait and your pet doesn't have to be next to everyone else's pet. The veterinarians and assistants are quick and courteous which is exactly what I like in a vet. And when I needed more fluids for my cat while she was at the end of her life they provided it with no questions asked.

Friendly staff. Dr. Pawlek is very experienced. Dr. Alonso is very sweet and genuine. Front office staff is efficient and friendly. We have taken our pets here for both routine care and special visits...and...even boarded our door there twice. Clean lobby and exam rooms. Recommended.

The most caring loving vets. My baby needed her canine removed because it was broken. They had her in and with in a couple hours she was in surgery. A full recovery has been made. They made this the easiest, most comfortable process they could. I will not see any other vet ever again. Thank you for your caring hearts. We are beyond happy.

I love my vet at VCA, however, I have unpleasant experiences with both staff and office manager. Today, 6/6/22 I called for an appointment for my sick cat and the conversation was not pleasant. I am taking my cat to Five Cities (they have great reviews) and was able to give me an appointment for Bubbles. If all goes well, I am going to transfer all my cats records over to them.

Although the doctor was nice, he had little to no knowledge about Leopard Geckos. I had set up an appointment for my gecko here upon hearing they did have a herp vet. I brought my gecko in with the main concern being her eyes. I also mentioned her shedding as well as bad eating habits as of lately. He only really focused on her shedding, but was very rough with her. He would flip her around in awkward angles while peeling shedding away, making me uncomfortable, but again he was suppose to be the vet. He never mentioned anything I could do to help the eye issue, only to make sure I am keeping everything in line when it comes to her living arrangements and off I was sent. My gecko had been acting her normal self these past couple of days even with her eyes not opening but as soon as I brought her home from that visit, she was terribly off. I continued to check up on her throughout the day due to her odd behavior and before leaving for work, she was rolled over onto her back dead. I am very much aware that my gecko was not in the best of shape, but she was a whole lot better before I brought her in. I don't know how he is with snakes but I HIGHLY recommend you not bring geckos in. Rest in peace.

Sometimes it's the little things, sometimes it's the big things. In the case of VCA and Dr. Paulick, it was both. We've had a hard time finding a veterinarian for our rabbit, but from the very first call it was apparent that the level of expertise we would receive here was a cut above the rest.I can't say enough good about Dr. Paulick. He answered every question I threw at him (and there were many questions, I'm "that" client) thoroughly, honestly, and with such kindness. It's immediately evident that he loves his work and genuinely cares about his patients. He is truly an amazingdoctor.The level of care we received from the technicians and staff was excellent as well. Everyone was incredibly friendly. It was such a nice touch to see Nugget's name on the wall welcoming him to the family. He even received a certificate of bravery after his neuter!I'm so glad we found VCA and I feel incredibly lucky that we have such a great local resource for small animals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Paulick and to all the staff at VCA!

Vet techs were great however very disappointed by how we were treated by the actual veterinarian. She was rude, unfriendly, in a rush, offered no suggestions just discouraged our ideas and interest about how to raise our puppy. Definitely would not reccomend taking pets here.

My dogs have been coming here for over 10 years, and I really like the vets, the staff has had a change recently for the better. A bit pricey, especially for nail clippings, so I go elsewhere for this service. With the extensive staff of vets getting an appointment is not difficult.

I took my puppy for free vet check, I had prev been with another vet in the area. Dr louisa and her asst in the room were fabulous, genuine care and interest in my puppy, for this reason I Returned here for a second well puppy visit. Again I really liked and appreciated Dr Louisa and asst, however thought the fee was high. 2 weeks later we needed another puppy check, when I called in the AM to make appt the front desk could not locate my records, located my son who was in only once four years ago and had my phone number assigned to Sam? Whoever!Since I had really liked Dr Louisa, I decided to call back later that day, thinking maybe a computer clitch. Upon my return call the same thing happened, no record of us. I got upset and told her not to worry that I would call our other Vet. And I did.Now I get a reminder card! Give me a break.I was willing to pay the higher fees because I liked the vet so much.Sorry Dr Louisa, we are with our other vet, which I never had a problem with, had just lost our elder dog there and emotions were still very heavy.rated vet a 5, front staff a 1, balanced to a 3.

We've received absolutely top-notch care for our pets from Dr Paulick and Dr Thongkim and the staff at VCA. Right from the first time we met him, and at every visit since, we've been impressed with Dr Paulick's impressive knowledge about and obvious deep concern for our animals, and we feel the same way about VCA's newest vet, Dr Thongkim, too. They've kept our pets healthy over the past several years, and we all credit Dr Thongkim with saving our cat's life when he had an illness that would have killed him without her fast intervention. Dr Thongkim called several times to check on our cat's recovery progress -- caring personal follow-up like that's pretty rare, in my opinion.I do think VCA is more expensive than some other vet offices, but maybe that is because they have such a big, beautiful, spacious, very clean facility.To save a bit on the cost, I'd suggest asking about their monthly shot clinics for pet immunizations, and also I think they'll price-match on flea meds if you bring in a printout showing the price you could get elsewhere (like online, for example) and if you're willing to wait a couple of days for the staff member to get authorization for the discount.I 100% would recommend VCA's Dr Paulick and Dr Thongkim.

Dr. Paulick did a complete physical on my cat. He thoroughly checked ordered bloodwork and compared it to bloodwork done by another veterinarian in 2011. He also looked at a recent weigh in and compared it to my cat’s weight at last visit. He spent the time discussing my cat’s physical health and was reassuring that she is stable and her condition is consistent with her age. Excellent care!!!

I had to come here for the long goodbye for my guinea pig. I got home from work at 5:15pm in SLO and it was his time. Most places were already closed. I called VCA at 6pm, and my boy was gone by 7pm. They were all so kind, and the doctor was exceptional. My boy was loved until the very end and VCA allowed me to let him go peacefully.

VCA has been the home of our Vet...Dr. Paulick for more than 15 years. We are given very good advice and Dr Paulick knows his stuff but he is willing to debate and discuss options. Dr. Paulick truly loves animals...you can see and feel it when he interacts with your pet. VCA has the facilities as a hospital for most surgery's, dental cleaning, and lab work. The staff also love animals, are careing, personable, and friendly.

I've been going to VCA wit my pets for over 11 years now and they have always taken great care of my pets! Dr. P is amazing ! And the front staff is always so friendly with my animals and myself:)
