The coolest Ranch house. Sitting in the main room by the fireplace was amazing all by itself. We loved the friendly home-like atmosphere, with many locals coming here. The old-time-charm ranch decor of the main room was so fun to look at. We came for breakfast and the food was great. Large portions for very reasonable price. Service was caring and friendly.

Ate breakfast here between Xmas and the new year. The food was good, and the atmosphere was entertaining. The reason the service got a 4 star is as follows: when I ordered coffee the waiter asked if I wanted any cream, I answered yes, I never saw the cream. Later when giving me a refill, he asked if I need cream, I answered yes. I never did get my cream. Fortunately, the coffee was great and was good without cream. If you order bacon with your breakfast, you get four strips! The hashbrowns were fair to middling. We will eat here again when we return to Arnold.

The food was good but my experience was soiled by the service. There was only one waitress working the tables, so we expected the food to take a little longer than usual. Once the food arrived at our table, I didn’t get my order so I assumed it was taking longer than the others. After trying for 10 mins to get the attention of the waitress to ask about my pancakes, I was informed that she had given my food to a different and she would have to place the order again. Then after about an additional 15 mins I finally get my food as the table is cleared of the empty plates since my group had finished their food. In the end I didn’t even get any sort of compensation or attempt to make things right other than a small apology. I ended up losing my appetite after waiting so long for my food.

Just wanted to take time to personally think Patty sandwich and soda was exactly what I needed. Looking forward to dinner here soon. Definitely bring the family enjoy the menu and stay awhile. And if you see Patty tell her she's awesome.

I have been here before and it was so packed we never got a seat and had to leave. We finally got to come here on a non busy week day. Locals seemed familiar and everyone knew everybody. We did have a bit of wait for food but it was worth it. The food was Very well priced and tasted amazing. I noticed it looked like only a couple people work there so I would never come here during busy seasons. If you have all day to wait it is worth it.

If you are looking for a taste of true American food, look no further!An amazing, home made cooking, from scratch, nothing unfrozen or prepackaged. Best breakfast on RT4 to Bear Valley, convenient parking, and true rustic atmosphere. Loved it!Kid-friendliness: Entertaining and good selection of kids items on a menu.

If you enjoy a home style meal & exceptional service this is your spot. We came up to Arnold from Stockton to take our pet dog Benny to get his teeth cleaned! Found this little place down the hill. Food was fresh, delicious & home made. Staff is AMAZING you feel like your with family. Prices are reasonable and portions are more than enough I enjoyed it so much I’ll be going up to visit again soon.

This restaurant was disappointing considering we have a cabin nearby and enjoy a lot of the other restaurants in the area. I cannot comment on the quality of the food, seeing as we never even sat down to eat due to our negative experience when we first walked in the door. The hostess was surprisingly rude right off the bat (especially to my wife who did absolutely nothing to warrant the response she received) and so we left instantly because of that. It’s not like we were expecting to be treated like gods, but there is a certain level of humanity that I believe the wait staff should at least pretend to maintain. If she was having a bad day, that’s fine, but there is no need to transfer that negativity onto your customers for no reason. We will not be returning.

WAS a regular customer. I've always enjoyed great food and super service, until this week. I was accused of stealing a Ferrell cat. Then my order was not as it usually was, items missing, unfriendly service. I will truly miss how life was at Bristol's. I won't go back to be treated like a pariah. I'm sure your experiences there will be awesome, as mine used to be.

Had one of the best diner breakfasts here. The essential ingredients - bacon, scrambled eggs and hash browns were all freshly cooked and far better than in so many/ most other places. A great atmosphere added to an excellent start to the day!

My wife and I stopped in for a couple burgers and we're pleasantly surprised. We sat outside and were allowed to have our 4 legged friend join us which was awesome. Our server was attentive to us and our dog. Our food was brought to us quickly and as ordered. The burgers were pretty good. Not the best ever, but pretty good. The check was brought out and the bill was paid with no issues.The deck dinning area was a bit messy, but we were outside in what is essentially a forest, so pine needles are not unreasonable. I really don't have any complaints worth noting.

The food is amazing. They serve huge portions and it tastes so good! The staff is friendly. It's a very quaint and cute cabin in the woods feel. There is a deck off the back for outdoor eating. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the portion size! I highly recommend stopping here!

I wish I had taken a picture of my short stack pancake breakfast to show how awesome their food is! Two pancakes with fruit took up my entire plate! They're short staffed and it takes a little longer to get your food but it's definitely worth the wait. This place does not disappoint!

I hate to bash a local restaurant but Bristols does not treat everyone equally. The older gentleman that works there is obviously in the wrong profession. Slow unfriendly service, looked at me cross eyed when I ordered a mimosa with my bland eggs Benedict. I asked very politely for a mimosa and his response was "I guess". Time to hang it up mister grumpy, retirement will look good on u. Decided to give them a second chance, ordered corn beef hash, it was straight out of the can mixed with bell pepper and onion while charging me for what I expected to be real corn beef and potatoes. If I knew that to be the case I could have stayed home and made it myself, saved some money and this review would not exist. A poor family from out of town came in with 3 adults and 3 kids and when she requested a table for 6, the waitress says and I quote "good luck"...what a joke, bistro might be more pricey but the attitude and service is 10 times better.

Great place! Cozy, homey, love the memorabilia . Friendly guy and our breakfast was very good and you get a good amount at a reasonable price. Very good coffee and the French toast was delicious! Will be back when in the area again and will tell others about this gem in Arnold:)

Exaggerated Trumpist themed restaurant in decor; the caricature "cowboy" tough guy attitude is taken to the extreme by employees and customers alike. This restaurant has picked sides and will barely tolerate you if you are not loudly proclaiming fox news allegiance. All we wanted was a meal.

Awesome brekkies. Today, Friday I had fresh linguica and eggs. Amazing. Some of my coworkers had pancakes that were bigger than your head. Service is fast super friendly and they handled us which was a group of about 14 at 6:30 in the morning. We'll be back again next month

Great prices and portions, staff is minimal and sometimes misses out on silent service and attentiveness. Can amp that up and it would be amazing. Also, just to add they're strawberry French toast was off the charts good!!

Im sure we just had a bad experience, but we had a very bad experience. The roof leaked all over our table, the carpets were filthy, and the creamers they gave us for our coffee were all cracked so the liquid was leaking into the bucket they served them in. We did not even wait to get our food, too disgusted, we paid for our drinks and left.

Stopped in on the way up to Tahoe for an early breakfast. Coffee was great, ambience was cowboy themed and corned beef hash was delicious. Service was spot on with an authentic homegrown flair and several locals were eating breakfast at the joint. Will stop again!
