It's a clean and organized store... small store in a small town... I'm very grateful for it.... The employees are probably my favorite thing about the store always helpful and always kind... We get A lot of out of town or so they don't always have what you need but that's when you come to expect in a small town.

Enjoyable place to shop for grills and the knowledge of many things Traeger and barbecue. The hands on owners and wonderful employees make ACE Hardware stand out and apart from other hardware stores. Garden center is about to open and looking forward to stopping in again to pick up a Traeger griddle.

I’ve been shopping at this store for over 30 years. We purchased an Ace brand snow shovel last year that broke (cheap plastic material). I asked the manager if they replace the product. “Only if you have a receipt and it was purchased in the last 30 day!” I was extremely disappointed that they would not stand behind their product. It was clearly defective. They’ve now lost most of my future business due to the lousy customer service.

I wanted to buy a Yeti water bottle. I was willing to go above my cap of $25 to the $41.99 because it was so hot. I got to the counter and it rang up to $55 plus tax. I told the sales person what I thought the price was and he shrugged it off in Gen Z fashion saying, "Well, that's not what it says here. Do you want it or not?" I chose no. I realize there are challenges getting good employees, but this guy lost a sale. Now I will look for a water bottle on sale at home.

Small on the outside, but dang, there is so much stuff perfectly stacked in this store, it's easy to find what you need without having to go somewhere else... And you don't have to walk a mile through the store to get what you need either.

Great hardware store with outstanding service. Has the hardware stuff you need obviously. They fixed me up with a custom solution to help my elderly dog get in and out of the cabin. The resident dog Trixie is charming and will happily lie in front of you for pets.

Great little store, we go here at least once a month for various things. They have a cute home decor section with kitchen things and wall decorations. They have a small selection of wood so if you need bigger pieces there is a lumber store just up the road.

Good ace store. Going through some renovations right now, must wear a mask till whenever the government gets this virus under control. They have decent stock, could definitely use more of everything though. Its difficult with a smaller location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I hope they will carry more products soon. And the biggest change they could use would be FREE WIFI, This would be incredibly helpful and bring tons of customers and make it easier to use ace discounts or coupons. Hopefully this helps, and I definitely recommend this location if your up in the mountains.

I use to love to come to this store and shop all the little Nick Nacks, furniture,jewelry, pictures , Bear Country stuff)reasonably priced.Now after the remodel it’s focus is baby stuff children stuff? Why? it’s Arnold not baby boom town?It’s a Hardware store, not baby gap?Everything is so over Priced X10. (Talk about gouging)?All the Cool home Decor gone? Garden area has gone down hill even in spring?So dissatisfied with the merchandise in this store and the older employees are so Grumpy. Tried to warm up but no luck. Oh well will drive to Angles Camp.

Great place, wife looks at all the home decor stuff and I check out tools, a great Stihl area, and the other things. We both love going. They are a bit pricey, but worth it for the well stocked store, and very attentive and nice employees.

For a middle of nowhere small town hardware store, its pretty decent. You'll find almost anything you'll need there. Their selection isn't as great as the stores in Angel's Camp or Sonora, but for any basic project, it'll be just a quick trip.

Great service, found two of three items I was looking for.However, when I opened the package to install the LEDs, the socket size was smaller than normal household sockets. I plan to go back and exchange for the right size.I don't understand selling the wrong size. If, for some reason you still do, the clerk could have told me and avoided the return trip.

Lots of choices of random hardware. A little pricey but all hardware stores up here are the same these days. Convenient and close to town. Friendly staff and very informative regarding their products. They will assist you in anything you ask and make sure you are satisfied before walking away. They help you find what you need and dont try to,push what you DONT need onto you. Pretty atmosphere during the holidays

Took my chainsaw in for repairs. It was bought from there location and they were unable to find my warranty info. I was told they would take care of it if I pay $65 for labor. No problem. After having it a couple weeks, I went to check on it and wad told it had a bad piston. They, Chris, offered to use parts from another saw that was not working ans fix mine. Cool. Couple weeks later went back and still no work done... others came in and need ti be looked at first. Went home and thought about it and decided to go back after another week. Good news, saw has been taken apart. Chris was off this day so I asked them to have chris me call me with an update. Next day I hit a call saying there saw was no good do to me using the incorrect gas mix. I use 50:1 what they recommend. However after informing me that it would cost more then what the saw is worth, Chris offered to throw it way for me and let me know when they go on sale again. No thanks, I'll pick up the pieces and get another opinion. After a quick clean and adjustment, saw works great. Thanks ACE for trying to get over on me

Very friendly and helpful staff. They seemed to have a bit of everything for mountain living - not your typical ACE store... reminded me of a general store. If you forgot something at home, stop in here they probably have it.

I went in to get a quote for lumber for a construction project. They told me to put a mask on so I did a "U Turn" and walked out. Drove down the hill to Lowes and spent $18,738 on lumber for the project. Lowes is delivering on Monday to the job site.

Bought a small light bulb and a box of Ledger-loc bolts (appx $54) a few days ago. Light bulb was defective and attempted to return it. Cashier scanned it and said it wasn't purchased at this store. To bad I didn't bring the receipt. Also my $50 box of bolts had been opened, re taped and missing a few. Been shopping here for 20 years. Not the same. True Value from now on.

Ace is 1 of 2 hardware stores in Arnold hands down the winner a bit pricey but has good stock on most things and has a lumber yard down the street. The store has been recognized in the last year and definitely has a small town charm.
