Walking distance (15 minutes one-way) from me which is cool. Nice selection of items for a small neighborhood store. Friendly staff. Good for a quick stop & go. Plenty of free parking. Definitely recommend.UPDATE 9/21: Called today & spoke to a very rude employee who was snarky then hung up on me. There's no reason for this kind of behavior. I'm rethinking shopping at this place.

Emblematic of all of Murphy's Markets, this store is very very clean, well run and has experienced help that actually pay attention their customers. Excellent access and a deluxe parking lot with plenty of room to open your doors and organize your cooler. The founder of this local chain is a local guy who started as a box boy and leveraged his bright mind and gentle demeanor into a game previously dominated by the usual mega corps. Murphy's is a great little place.You can get all of your basic grocery essentials.Not a super large selection of anything, because it's a small store and sometimes they sleep on getting things reordered for a little while and so I end up going to Safeway or Wildberries if they are out of stock on some things at times, but every person who works there with the exception of a couple of them give you a friendly attitude and a smile. Great chicken strips 🍗 from the hot bar and great handmade sandwiches too. 🥪

All Murphy's are great Neighborhood Market. Great deli great selection of local products. Their delis are better than most around with great selection. Produce is fresh and better than chain markets. There is one in each City around Eureka. The staff is always great. If you're hungry try the deli you won't be disappointed

The little store that could. For its size, it has an impressive selection and friendly staff. The deli foods are pretty good and the beer selection is solid. Nice spot to stop and grab a few snacks but it can get spendy if you do a bulk of your shopping here

Surprisingly well stocked for such a small store. They have all essentials plus an actual deli meat department.Carries an ok variety of local and small producers plus traditional brands. Full alcohol section and refrigerated beer.

My local market, everyone there is friendly. There is a decent selection of foods for a smaller grocery store. Sometimes a little expensive compared to big chain stores, but they can't buy in huge quantities like the others so it's understandable. Deli counter sandwiches are top notch. I'm in there almost daily.

Sooo, I recently moved to the area and this store is normally amazing! As of around early April they hired some young, white, male millenial who cant grow facial hair to save his life. I told him I dont even believe in the lierus and he was triggered severely. He is a very mean person. People who are triggered easily should not be allowed to work customer service. It takes people who are level headed and kind to do those jobs. He is not kind and high on his emotions and ready to freak out and shoot people. Get that snowflake out of that store please.

Murphys market is a great location from amazing produce to awesome deli food this place is an all around win! I really in enjoy it in Arcata and also in Trinadad. The staff always have great smiles and a kind warm feel!

I ordered extra Mayo, pesto and hoagie dressing… hardly anything of those three on my sandwich.. done right. This sandwich is sensational. Now, it is dry.. I don’t feel like go back… substituting with ranch.. out of Mayo. Waahh waahh waaaaaahhhh

Power outtage- everybody was panic shopping. I took a bag of kingsford Charcoal from the shelf. I double checked the price, it was clearly and correctly marked $8.69. I took it plus lighter fluid I had two $2 pks of chicken and a $3 ok. It rang up to $31+I only had $26. I informed them of the shelf tag. They scanned it and it rang up $16.99. I offered her the money and a promise to bring it back. I pleaded as to how important it was and if I could have it at the marked price of $8.69. She said no, someone will pay full price for it.

A smaller Mom and Pop grocery store that is friendly and clean. They have been known to order items in that other stores won't or quite carrying if requested. They have 2 locations in the Arcata area, and that is it's only drawback (ARCATA home of the invited "homeless by choose" crowd)

Actually a good deal for things like apples and milk. Don't expect great prices for large, brand name items. The staff has always been friendly and kind to me, even late at night

Sunnybrae Murphys is wonderful. The folks who work there are friendly and nice. The other Arcata one is slightly less wonderful and friendly, but still pretty good. I don't know about any of the others.

The food selection is fine, but the prices are higher than other places in town like Ray's and Target. I overheard the owner talking to a cashier when I was in there. Seemed like a jerk.
