This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I never leave reviews but had to sign in to say that you should never get a prescription sent here. I had my doctor send my prescription to this pharmacy 4 days before I went to pick it up. The pharmacy said they didn’t have it. I called my doctor and they said it must’ve been sent to Barnes. I went to Barnes and they said they don’t have it either and that they’ll call my doctor. I called Barnes 30 minutes later and they said my doctor sent it to CVS. I called CVS and was told that my prescription was ready and to come get it before 6. I got there at 5:40 and was told that they were out of stock of my prescription and that an order was sent for it to arrive in 2-3 days. This was on a Thursday, so I couldn’t come in over the weekend. I called on Monday and was told that my prescription was ready. I came in at 5:30 and the pharmacy was closed. When I asked the cashier why it was closed before 6 I was told that the pharmacist had to leave early. I came in at 10:30 on Tuesday and the pharmacy was closed again. I was told that the pharmacist was late and wouldn’t be there until 2 pm. THIS PLACE SUCKS. NEVER EVER GET A PRESCRIPTION SENT HERE IT IS NOT WORTH IT

I was told by the software my prescriptions would be ready. When I went in the pharmacist decided on her own accord that I was not entitled to the medicine and told me I could not have it until the 17th. So either the SOFTWARE is broken or the PHARMACIST is BROKEN. It is too bad because the staff are all very nice. Crazy how one person can DESTROY a business.. Go ELSE where where your doctor gets to tell you what you can and cannot have!

I recommend using this CVS instead of the one in McKinleyville! It is usually not as short-staffed and they help me with my prescriptions. It's not perfect (it's CVS) but its a good CVS as far as CVSs go.

I had a wonderful cashier. She was kind, spoke with softness and grace. She was tall, pretty, black, was wearing a white skirt. I hope she knows her kindness is very appreciated. The store itself is kind of a mess.

CVS really is an awful place in general and has to be one of the worst pharmacies of all time. Last time it was over a week and my prescription never got filled, I waited in line at least 2-3 times to be told it’d be filled shortly and the line is wild every time. Today another prescription isn’t filled either. It’s not the staff’s fault, they are super nice, it’s pretty obvious that they’re understaffed. I think I’m going to see if a local pharmacy is available because I’d honestly love to never come in here again in my entire life :)

Nice staff (they should unionize), truly awful company. Keeps stores understaffed to put money in shareholder pockets, at the expense of customers and employees. Came in three times today trying to get my prescription, the first time the pharmacy was closed during their open hours, was told to come back after 2:00, came back, waited for 20 minutes in line, even though there were only 3 people in line ahead of me. Got to the front of the line only to be told to come back later because my prescription wasn't ready yet. So now I have to go back in at 5:00 when everyone else will be waiting to pick up their rx, and be in line for at least another 40 minutes.

I'm sure the people who work here are hardworking, but they NEED to hire more people. Service is inadequate. Calling the pharmacy will always result in huge wait times. There's always a line in store. The people who work here are clearly stressed and understaffed! Even showing up when pickup time was set, the order often isn't ready. F--k CVS! Whoever manages this location is a m0r0n.

Been dealing with late prescriptions for months only for the situation to get even worse after they decided to cut open hours even more than they already were. Switching to Barnes from now on because for some inexplicable reason I need to manually call-in for a refill of medication that's already on auto refill, and even after calling I've had to wait over a week in some instances for my prescription to be ready.

Pharmacy is short staffed, and hours keep being cut. I get there and there’s a huge line which I wait in just to get to the front and they tell me my prescription isn’t ready, despite it being processed days before when I had called to check on it. This has happened multiple times. I don’t blame the staff at all, but CVS needs to do better. Once I’m out of refills on my current prescriptions I will not be returning.

It once took 10 days for them to refill my anxiety medication after it had completely emptied. 10 DAYS. I couldn’t go outside, I couldn’t go to school, I got maybe 2 hours of sleep a night, and I could barely even eat. Truly the most evil and greedy pharmacy company ever.

Horrendously understaffed. My doctor called in four time sensitive prescriptions yesterday morning and they have been “processing” for over 24 hours. Called to see what the problem might be and was on hold for an hour and a half before I gave up and came in myself. The line literally went to the back of the store from the window, it was ridiculous. When I FINALLY got up to the window, they told me there was nothing they could do and that they’d be ready tomorrow, TWO DAYS after my doctor called them in. Again, these are time sensitive medications that I will face real, physical consequences for not taking in a timely manner. Completely unacceptable. CVS, HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES, YOUR PENNY PINCHING IS CAUSING THE THE COMMUNITY TANGIBLE SUFFERING.

I got my wisdom teeth out had an expedited pain med and antibiotic prescription, even called to make sure it would be ready before we got there (hours before) still wasn’t ready!!! I’m fact took them two more hours, of sitting in agony idk how this is legal or ok on any level

Medicine is"on hold", No other information. Good luck on starting cancer treatment. "Maybe try a different CVS, but you should probably call first." This is what CVS had to say days after they had received the prescription. All after a half hour in line. When your Dr. asks where to send a prescription, don't say CVS.

Just called back after being on hold for an hour and call dropped for the pharmacy. Called the “provider” line to see if anyone was at the pharmacy and Cheryl picked up real quick and said sorry have to put you on hold. Then back to 1 hour + wait. This pharmacy needs more workers because their clearly short staffed and their app is always having issues. Out of my medicine today and need to reach someone and find out why my auto refill hasn’t been going through on time every month now for months. I’m only taking one medication and the dose hasn’t changed in over a year. Don’t understand why it’s so complicated.

Pharmacy is a JOKE!! I called 3 days in advance to fill a prescription. I was assured that I would be able to pick it up the 3rd. After traveling 40 miles to get it. The associate in the Pharmacy told me it would be 20 minutes. After qn hour I was informed that I would have to wait until tomorrow. After informing the pharmacist that I was assured numerous times that I would be able to get it today. He informed me that quote: They didn't know what they were talking about. And that I was "NOT" to call concerning any prescription related information! Totally unprofessional at least.I will never use C.V.S. again for any reason. They're entire staff has no idea what they are doing and they are dispensing MEDICATION. I am going to report them immediately. Do not use this Pharmacy for any reason!!!!!

The staff at CVS is very competent and helpful. I have received great help in reproducing photos. The pharmacy is very busy but my prescriptions are efficiently filled. I have been unable to reach a pharmacist by phone but in person is always great. I think the phone service needs more staff.

CVS is very overpriced, I have better luck at dollar tree or costco.The pharmacy seems to have turned a new leaf, prescriptions are ready for pickup within 24 hours and they answer the phone promptly.

Impressive use of negative space. I took my wife in for a few items and have never got through a cvs so quickly! Each aisle has only a few items which made deciding they had nothing I wanted and leaving a breeze!

I feel like they make no effort here to get you your prescriptions. If there is a single hiccup along the way, they just tell you to try again. I've been without my prescription for two months. I've been in contact with my doctor's office multiple times and they have no idea what the problem is.

My 5 year old and I had a terrible experience with CVS pharmacy on F Street just now, and we will most likely switch pharmacies because of how they lied to us this morning. They told me my daughter's prescription would be ready in a couple of hours. I went there in a couple hours, with my 5 year old daughter in tow, and the pharmacy said they actually didn't have it, but it was an over the counter medicine in aisle 23. I brought my daughter over there, but we couldn't find it. We came back to the pharmacy, and she said she couldn't help us find it, and to ask the store clerks instead. I dragged my daughter all the way to the front, and they called someone for us, only to look on aisle 24 and then tell us that they don't carry it. I told them that it was inconsiderate of them to tell us to come get it in two hours, when they don't have it, and to make us walk all over the store looking for it, when they don't even carry it. She argued with me, getting in my face with her Russian accent, saying that the pharmacy doesn't know what the store carries. If that's true, then why did the pharmacy lie to us and say it was on aisle 23? More lies. They could have ordered it for us, but instead they decided to waste our time on a Saturday morning. My daughter had been really excited about getting her fluoride chewables, and cried when we had to leave without them. These people are horrible.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I called to have my medication ready on Friday, but was told it was “guaranteed” it would be there Monday, as they had to order it from somewhere else. This is necessary medication, and I already wasn’t comfortable waiting that long but there was nothing I could do. Monday comes around, not ready. Tuesday comes around, still not ready. Wednesday comes and I finally call them, and apparently the order was never placed! The pharmacist has no idea what’s going on, staff is clearly untrained as well (even the pharmacist agreed that she needed to retrain her staff) On a different occasion, the staff violated HIPPA laws YELLING out my name, names of the medications and DOB to the staff in the back out loud when other patrons were around! Hold times on the phone are way too long, around 1 hour on average. Both the HIPPA law violation and medication error have been sent to corporate. Extremely upset with this pharmacy, don’t give them your business or let them waste your time.

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Wont allow u to purchase not one item when picking up prescription. They make u wait in main lobby line. Takes forever to pick up prescription in lobby...always line. Takes forever to fill prescription and pickup. You cant ever get through when u call this pharmacy!!!! EVER!!! Almost always one person in front even if lines a mile long!! WORST EVER!!

Pharmacy does not answer the phone. After being on hold for 45 minutes trying to see if my prescription was ready. So I left my house to pick it up only to find out they could have it filled in 2 hours. I do not recommend this pharmacy! Prior experiences is they don’t have the medications requested and I had to transfer my prescription.

Pharmacy is dysfunctional. Under-staffed and rude. Their computer generates notices that scripts are ready, but when you try to pick them up, they are not ready and they can't tell you when they will be. It's the same at cvs on myrtle ave. Use a different pharmacy.

It takes 45 minutes to pick up a UPS package. I don't want to shop in your terrible, disgusting excuse for a store. I can't believe UPS uses this place to drop things off. Three people have to check my ID so I can get my package? You guys let everyone steal from you like crazy, but you're very protective over packages that never belonged to you in the first place.

The pharmacy does not answer the phone. I was visiting in June & a prescription was called in by my physician. I need a refill now and found it was filled in Arcata. I live in NJ. Yesterday I spoke to a staff member who said she would enter the medication into the system so it could be filled in NJ. Never happened. Now I cannot call again because the staff is not picking up the phone.

The woman at the register, in the pharmacy, was so unpleasant. I have a teenage daughter and this woman put that teenage sass to shame. I have had several unpleasant experiences with this pharmacy, which I have kept to myself over the years. Today I chose to wait in the waiting area rather than walk around. It was then I realized that it wasn’t just me, but rather this is a practice, a sweet woman whose bday was some time in 1937, you do the math, came for her and her husbands prescriptions, they were not ready, apparently on back order. This woman was not quite understanding long story longer there was No compassion no softness, no explanation as to why her prescription was not ready. It was heartbreaking. I will be switching pharmacies immediately and I recommend anyone looking find another one as well.

I'm fairly new to town and am now using CVS in Arcata. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews here, other than to attribute them to the quirks and character of those who wrote them, independent of their CVS experience. I have found that the folks here are truly helpful, and have had various prescriptions filled accurately in a timely manner. The pharmacists have bent over backward to ensure that all is in order, and called to follow up on the couple of occasions that there were issues with transferring prescriptions, etc.

Corporate Pharmacy and can't pay employees to even keep it's pharmacy open!!! Insane GREED and lack of concern for customers health getting essential prescriptions!Screws Customers over bye!!!!!! Even have the nerve to steal my money for prescriptions I can't even access and had to pay for the transfer to a Real pharmacy! Play Russian Roulette with your health? This is the place! Zero stars
