Desperately needs more employees. Here on a Sunday and every dressing room but one was closed. The line for the open room was very long. There were only a few rooms and they were all very messy with clothes and hangers. It doesn’t seem like there was an attendant around either.

Clean, well played out, and as always the best prices in the fashion game while still maintaining excellent quality. I really appreciate the fragrance testers in the cosmetics section, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful.

The sales staff (PATTY) in particular was Awesome! Very helpful, kind & courteous.She went above and beyond to help me find the outfit in my size. She took time to go in the back dressing room for the items that hadn’t been put back on the floor. She had a AMAZING thoughtful & caring personality! She made my shopping experience a very pleasant one!The store is very clean & well organized. Appears fully stocked for the clothing items & accessories I was looking for.

The store was clean and I could see staff getting merchandise organized. Displays were good but not well organized. Hangers would show one size but clothing was a different size. Stacks were not arranged in any size order. Due to clearance sales it seemed like some stock was low.Not a lot of obvious staff on the floor and checkout lines were 3-4 people deep.I can’t say that the service was friendly unfortunately.Parking lot was busy but there were spaces at the outer edges.

I haven't been to the mall in Santa Anita in years. I was in the San Gabriel Valley and decided to stop in to Penny's to maybe look at Ross. I was so lucky when I walked in the door I was in the department I'd had a long afternoon didn't feel like doing a lot of walking. I asked one of the ladies for a certain bra that I wanted and she was able to put me in the right direction there was boxed ones and there was once hanging on the rack of the same kind I was looking for. I thought I'd look at the rack first and there was only one of my size but I was happy to get it. The JCPenney's lady gave me excellent service she was so nice and friendly. Sometimes a senior need a little extra help and she was perfect person for it just wanted to say thank you to her and the lady at the register was extra nice also. Great staff

I love it here they have an assortment for the entire family. I always find good stuff for myself and my family. I always Christmas shop here too beats going to store to store. Thanks JCPenney! And use those coupons and collect those points its worth it

Went to pick up something for Mother's Day. I was surprised how much JCPenny's has changed. I found a dress that was really cute for myself. I needed a dress for an upcoming event.

Came to look for some dress pants but was sad to find they don't carry my favorite brand in store anymore or I could not find if they did. The Stafford brand is a go to because I know the quality and look is top notch. So to bring you up to speed I was not able to find what I was looking for and to top it off the website is very limited on this item also. Really disappointing.

Went there for 2 dress shirts i needed for a funeral. It was extremely over priced and the setup is strange. I ended up putting back half of what i needed because of the prices. 2 shirts would have been almost 200$ for a walmart brand button up. Literally i found 2 at walmart, same brand $20 each with a tie included. I would not recommend if your on a budget.

25 mins before closing time there was an announcement that doors would be closing soon. We walked towards the exit and Promptly 20 mins before closing time doors were locked to exit towards the parking lot. We had to exit through the mall exit and walk all the way around. With an 89 year old woman in tow, this was a real inconvenience. I get closing a few minutes before closing time, but 20 mins is ridiculous.

Waited in a line in the shoe dept for a LONG time. When my friend made a comment that it was taking a long time, one of the cashiers said well, you can go to another register if you want. Really?! The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars is because a third cashier opened and told me that I had to take my return to Customer Service. I almost lost it, but she was very nice about it and my friend made her purchase. The lady in Customer Service was helpful and friendly too. If it wasn't for the two cashiers who helped us, I would have given them a 1 star because of the smart mouth of the one cashier. I want to add, that we weren't being impatient because the people behind us in line were getting agitated too, because of how long it was taking to get service.

This place is dying a slow death. Mall anchor stores including this one are on it's last legs. It now has the same sadness as when Sears was flatlining a couple of years ago. It's only a matter of time.

Discriminating prices: / Deceptive Business Practices:JCPenney has always had affordable decent items for past couple decades but their recent system of business me turned me off: you can find the same item online on their website and order for pick up, and that SAME item will be $5-10 more expensive if you had gone in the store and just paid at the register. So after bringing my kid to the store to see what they actually had in-person, I had to tell my kid to wait for the toy because I actually need to order it online and we can’t just pay for it right then and there. So we had to come back and pick it up at a later time. According to their website, they claim they have a price- match guarantee, but they actually have no such thing. I talked to corporate why they say that but it’s not actually true in my experience and he said he just doesn’t know why it says that. I don’t understand why they punish in-store shoppers?? This happened to me two different times on two separate occasions so it’s not just a certain employee, this is corporate. it’s just a lot of extra steps, quite unfair. Takes away the joy out of in-store shopping 100% for me. Also, it seems to me they are taking advantage of customers who aren’t familiar with their online website (like a lot of elderly people). I don’t know any other store that has such a discriminating difference in prices like this one. I am canceling my card here and will rather buy everything at Macys and Nordstrom and Target.Update:Response to your response: I spoke to JCPenney headquarters and they confirmed their prices don’t match. The man said he’s not sure why their website says they do match guarantee (since they don’t). I called them yesterday around after 2 pm, and they recorded the conversation. Look it up. You purposely have discriminating prices at the Santa Anita Mall and DO NOT train your employees to do price match guarantee.

Almost everything was on sale. We bought some men's shirts and went to try them on. There was only one men's fitting room open and we were the 5th customer waiting in line. There were 3 more customers waiting behind us. After about 7 minutes, an employee came over and asked if we were waiting in line to try on some clothes. Of course we were. She stated another fitting room would be opening. Since we were now second in line, we stayed where we were. The lines to the cashiers were also 4 customers deep. Paying $68.00 for 7 nice shirts was well worth the wait.

Pretty good selection if you're enormous. Sadly, most of the racks were either small sizes or 3XL. Finding a large in anything was as rare as hens teeth.

I went here on a Saturday when it's one of their busiest days, however the cashier JULIA was really really nice. Although we had many questions for her she had lots of patience and never gave us a bad eye. She did not make us feel rushed at all even though the line was very long.
