Seems like management lately has forgotten how to do customer service. We’ve shopped here for years, but the last month or so the management has had a vendetta on customers. Rude, not helpful, and unapologetic. We left everything on the counter last time because she was rude. Hope this store figures out what customer service in a retail business really means soon.

Always great service better than pets smart. The staff here treat us like family. And they are knowledgeable in their products. You don't walk around like you are a zombie when you are here!! They help so much with anything you need 5 stars thanks to the staff and mangers.

Just left the store, where I pay a higher price for healthy food for my dogs. 2 out of the 3 workers were very rude. I will be looking elsewhere for my dog food. Customer service should be more of a priority.

Okay, let me just start by saying this location has one hell of a manager! The sheer pleasant smiles of staff all around in this store are truly a rarity indeed! I had a ton of time to kill recently, and somehow managed to spend every bit of it getting refamiliarized with the array of products new to the pet market, and in doing so, had some really fun and informative conversations with several of the staff here. Each in their own way made me feel so welcome, helpful, and not once did I ever feel to be a burden on them for all the questions that came up. I want to give a little extra mention again to the manager gentleman- your staff is above par, and hopefully they are rewarded appropriately for their efforts in setting you guys so far apart from the contenders nearby. In addition, THANK YOU to Deann(a?) For taking so much in depth info and bringing it into a much understood alternative to what the labels provide, and an extra thank you for the candid recommendations and other tidbits you shared about yourself and your relative experience to many parts of our conversations! You guys gained a customer committed to returning when an experience becomes like the one I had. And, I took the time to get all your names the night I was there, but I have seemingly misplaced the paper much to my frustration! I waited to share this experience until I found it, and I'm sure I will eventually, but I didn't want this to slip my mind and be outdated! Forgive me for not personally including you all by name, in no way does it lessen how superior you guys all were. Some people notice a good thing, and I did. Keep up the great vibe!🌈

Employee said she was working by her self when the store opened. So she ask that only 1 person at a time can come in. I LEFT I was not going to stand outside while there is a heat wave. I will not return to this store. 1 person a time is not even a store policy.

The customer service at this store is out of this world! I was so shocked by the pricing of things, I thought they would be overly expensive, but they are very reasonable. I highly recommend this site for dog parents who love to spoil their fur babies. The guy working gave me tips for the new slow feeder I purchased and the lady helped me pick out some calimg treats for a long upcoming trip. I will definitely be back! They also have dog washing stations that looked super clean.

I wish I could fully express how upset I am about the changes to this store, back in 2020 up to the end of 2021, I enjoyed coming here because of how the employees made me and my pets feel like family and I no longer get that joy. I am met with unhappiness and standoffishness when I come in, these new people are unbearable and mean. At one point I was left with two other customers, unhelped for a good 15 minutes while people who had came in after were quickly sought after and assisted.

LOVE this place! We just brought our Husky here for the first time to get a bath. The dog wash station was easy to use, I was impressed! The stations were super clean, I was really happy with the selection of shampoos available, and they even had towels and treats available! I hadn't realized that it was so affordable, only $15! We will definitely be bringing her back for her next wash.Oh, and we perused the store after. They have a great selection of food and treats... it's all the GOOD high quality stuff. I've seen people complain that this place is expensive, but it doesn't look like they sell the junk foods and treats. It's a good price for the high-quality stuff they sell.This is definitely our new favorite pet store!

They charge way to much for a dog wash. The soap is so water down it doesn't make any suds are smell. So I recommend you bring your own soap. Because my dog doesn't smell any better. It is convenient though. Bring your own shampoo.

Wonderful customer service! This young woman was so delightful and really enjoyed her job. I actually enjoyed this store because of her and her helpful ways. The store is nicely laid out and very clean. I did notice they didn't have dog beds big enough or the style my dogs enjoy. Some items were a few dollars more then at some other stores but they also have better program for free food/snacks then other stores. Make sure to ask. I used their online/pick up in store option. It was fast and easy. Thank you! I believe the staff person name was Regan.

Ok, this place is a must if you have a dog! They do a special everyday! Buy 3 get 1 free so bring ANY item up in 4's and you'll totally get one free! This works on anything! I buy everything for my dog (including big bags of kibble) 4 at a time and get a $60 bag of food FOR FREE!Oh, they also have a super amazing return policy! You can return ANYTHING even opened if it is not right or even if your pet just doesn't like it! (Just dont abuse it ok,do t be returning empty dog food bags on the regular)The staff is ALWAYS super nice and friendly and they make sure your questions are answered.So glad they have the polices they do and sooooo happy to know that the majority of their food and treats are the good stuff ALWAYS💗🐶🐕🐩🐱🐈🦎🐟🐀🐁🐭🐾🐇🐰*****UPDATE 5/26/2023*****OK AS YOU CAN SEE ABOVE I WAS RAVING ABOUT THIS PLACE BUT OOOHH HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED!!!I went in today around 7pm. I had a return. This was from a purchase that the employees when I picked it up said return it of your dog does not like it. (He is a VERY picky eater) I have a Great Pyrenees, he eats a LOT. I told them at the time I was unsure if he would even eat it they said no problem just bring it back. Well, he didn't like it, I had the bag with me most of the food was in the 4lb bag. The woman I talked to in the store was Paula, she said she was the manager. I was buying more food and told her I just wanted to take the balance off the super expensive 20 lb pound bag of his normal food. She took my return bag and walked away with it. I went to grab his 20lb bag and got in line. Well.. then Paula walks up to me and let's me know as of TODAY at the Slatten Ranch location in Antioch changed their return policy... SUPER strange considering SHE took the return bag of food is the manager then said thy can't do it. Really made me mad. She gave me a card to the customer service group. I didn't even leave the parking lot. Called the number. A guy by the name of David answered. I explained I did not have my receipt and they said they changed their return policy TODAY at this store. He assured me the women in the store I was sitting in front of lied. And return policy was changed 6 months ago. SUPER CRAZY considering I have done returns here before on toppers my dog ended up not liking (still sealed never open etc) David proceeded to tell me he can refund me to the card of purchase but he NEEDS the exact date and dollar amount of the original purchase. I told him I was unsure of that he said I can look at my statements. I have 4 different cards I could have used. I let him know this. I literally had to go to my mobile banking and credit card apps to look at all of my statements. I started giving him purchases off of one card (because I shop here all the time) He must have been over it and decided to CALL THE STORE AND TELL THEM TO REFUND ME IN STORE! I appreciate this a lot. But why was I given the total run around. As I was on hold with David he literally called the store I walked back in and he was on the phone with the lady who proceeded to give me a refund. According to HER AND ANOTHER EMPLOYEE this place is terrible to work for and everything there is messed up INCLUDING THEM NOT INFORMING EMPLOYEES OF POLICY!!!! The blonde lady worker said they never were told of the return policy until today and apparently it was changed 6 months ago!!! If you shop here great just be aware that they told me today they will be stopping the buy 3 get one free and will begin a rewards or points program. The reason this place was good to shop at was the variety of food and the specials and that they allowed returns in case you are trying to find the right food for your pet. I have been coming to this store since day one of getting my dog. It seems to have really gone downhill. Also, if they gave me the refund what the heck did I have to call the number for? It's bs! I'm definitely looking for alternative places to purchase the honest kitchen products. The entire staff at this location has completely changed and they all say they hate working here.

This store is always clean, employees are knowledgeable and hands down they best customer service. I have been going there for years. I don't have too many complaints. Except for one, they never have collars and leashes in stock. I'm not sure if people steal them or the just can't keep them on the shelves.They almost always have a deal and with a membership card you are always getting $$ towards a purchase or a free item.I bought a new dog food. I keep trying different brands because my dog is over weight and has allergies! The over weight part is my fault! They have so much to choose from and are constantly adding new brands. I know must of you have gone to pet food express so I will keep this short! This store is awesome and highly recommend.

I have fostered a few kittens over the past couple of years and their supply of formula & bottles is wonderful. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Their advice about Nulo cat food has been a success with my "foster fails" who are permanent residents. A great store!
