Save Mart in Angels Camp is a grocery store that leaves a mixed impression. The store is notably clean, well-organized, and stocked with a unique range of products. We were pleasantly surprised by the helpful explanation provided by the gentleman in the dairy section on how to obtain a frequent shopper's card on an app, which is a great way to save money. The store's deli and bakery sections stood out, offering quality options.The pricing at Save Mart is reasonable and certainly a positive aspect for budget-conscious shoppers. Overall, the shopping experience was enjoyable, with a well-maintained and well-stocked store.However, our positive experience was marred by a shocking encounter during checkout with a man with a badge on his phone. This elderly customer who claimed to be off-duty/retired law enforcement officer displayed unprofessional and rude behavior. He even resorted to inappropriate language towards my wife, which is completely unacceptable. The man's behavior was further bewildering when he mentioned impending arrests within the store while conversing with an individual who appeared to be homeless with a dog. All of this because we had a lot of groceries, it seems.This unexpected and unpleasant incident left a sour taste in our mouths, and it raises questions about the professionalism and conduct of some of the staff members at this location. The employee who overheard this gentlemen call my wife a Bitc* said she could be one for the dillusional man.While our overall impression of the store was positive in terms of cleanliness, product variety, and pricing, the unfortunate interaction during checkout highlights the importance of consistent customer service and respectful behavior in a retail setting. We won't be coming back in.

You want a special cake for that special person or you need to curb your sugar craving, this the place. Great bakery and great designs!!! The flowers are always fresh and perfect for a quick thankyou-or a bundle for your new wife. Great job Save Mart

Sale items are good prices. However, regular prices are high. Bakery has a very friendly & talented pastry chef. I would definitely buy a cake from them if that was on my list.

Was denied purchase of alcohol as a 26 year old with a valid California ID because my 12 year old sister was with me. When asked why, the cashier cited "California law" which does not seem to exist upon further internet searching and would almost certainly not have been enforced if someone older was purchasing. On top of this, the cashier was rude from the moment I stepped to the register, was extremely slow ringing up the customers in front of me, and also snapped at the customer behind me in line. Never shopping at this location again. The liquor store next door has a much better selection at better prices.

Very good selection of groceries,meats and seafood.Fresh breads everyday.Fruit and veggies section is top of the line.Staff is helping customers with everything.Many products on sale.I tend to stop there everytime I drive my Blazer to work. (Mostly I take the bus)I am very satisfied with the products and service.

ZERO STARS. This place is a scam the sale prices you see will not appear on your receipt. No way to apply for a store card at register.

Over priced, they are getting rid of most of the Hispanic food, constantly running out of lactose free milk, they run out of what they call “deals” as soon as they open. They never seem to change the oil from the fryers because it always tastes old.They always say they’re hiring but never answer or hire. They jack up the prices because they’re the biggest grocery store in angels camp. It’s surprising that angels food market has managed to keep its low prices and they have a waaay better meat selection just have to drive past expensive savemart.

We shop here when we come to town and have yet to have a bad experience. You have to understand that in a mountain community like this the prices are going to be a bit higher due to transportation costs, but even with that considered it still doesn't break the bank for us. Store is always clean and well-stocked. Hard to ask for more.

My family got Fried chicken from the deli and also a rotisserie chicken they were both delicious. Cant wait to go get more. 01 30 23 went to Save Mart Deli again 4 Fried chicken and Baked Chicken, what was great is that my Sissy was able to pre order a day before so we could pick it up at a certain time because it was such a large order. We did have to wait a bit longer because it wasn't ready but we looked around and bought a few items.

Seems to be a good store. Had some great deals and discounts. However, there may be some mislabeling. My wife picked out a couple of packages of sugar-free candies, thinking they we're on sale (sign said we had to buy 2 to get the discount). After buying them, we saw they were not discounted. I went back to check the signs. Turn out they were for different candies. The names were in small print.

Great store. Newly remodeled in late 2018.Deli offers some great options with new side bar of goodies. Great produce department. Good deals in the butcher department. Not a lot of options on grass fed meats. Hopefully that will improve over time.

Great butcher block, meats and produce. Well signed store and still the Tuesday senior discount. Sign up for their club for more coupons and rewards, all digital. Love that they have Meyer lemons year round even if they come from New Zealand part of the year.

Well I have always loved my angels camp store. But ever since the remodel not good my husband bought hamburger meat and this is the second time that when you open the package it's all pretty red on the outside but brown on the inside don't know what's going on. Love all my people there ❤️ always helpful .

Excellent food and friendly service. I was short funds for the items that I needed for the month with my EBT card. A checker from the next checkout stand paid out of his own pocket the money I was short. Would not accept payment back. Who does that anymore? That's the caliber of people that serve you at this Save Mart. God bless them all.

Savemart fried chicken is the best tasting fried chicken around! I'm not a big fried chicken eater, until we found this! My husband is a fried chicken-holic!! And he agrees! Way better than Pop Eyes and KFC!! Oh my!! It's their secret seasoning and coating and cooker! No one compairs! At least not yet.

They always have fresh fruit and vegetables as well as fish. The employees are really friendly and helpful. Most of the time it's fast to get through the checkout line except when you have someone in the front that won't stop talking and go on.
