Compared to Waterman Blvd for pharmacy alone we changed to American Canyon for reverse commute benifits.I wish I had changed years ago, the store is relatively modern, has a secure vibe, a gas station, the pharmacy personnel have all been super nice and I get a overall feeling of the place being run right.

Good store. They have several items that I can't get elsewhere, without driving 10 miles. Reasonably well stocked and good variety, although produce and on sale/free items can run out fast. Sometimes they could use more checkers, but the wait times have improved. The staff is friendly and helpful. They expanded the self-checkout stations to 6. Some coupons only work at the checkout with a clerk who can correctly process certain paper coupons. The Safeway app has improved some.

Prices were inaccurate. Half of what I bought was several dollars more than what the label said. 6.99 listed as 2.99, etc. That's with a membership card. And the dairy items always taste like they were left out too long. Won't shop here again if I can help it

Very clean store. It's a little hard to maneuver in these times of covid, as they are still packing space with product. I think they could clear a few things out to make it easier to shop around people standing in line. I have no issues standing in line. Patience is needed in these times. It was a good 20-30 minute wait in line and we only had 5 people ahead. The employees were working extremely hard and as quickly as humanly possible. We had questions for the butcher and both gentlemen were very polite & cordial as well as informative. If you want meat cut a certain way they still continue this process, but only for meat that has not been put out yet. So if you need butcher services and they have the cut in back, they will do it! Yay! It's a nice Safeway. OH! They are having a sale on tri tip!

This is my favorite location to shop at. The employees are amazing, patient and friendly. Their management on the floor is awesome always checking to see if they can help out. There are some employees not so great but thats anywhere.I also enjoy getting my gas here and thats saying alot since Costco has always been my to go gas station. I usually save about 20 cents a gallon which makes a big difference. I earn points for shopping which turn into rewards for saving on gas.

Riy at the flower department was extremely helpful.Even though they were busy, she took time to help me choose the right flowers. She even split them up and wrapped them for me. She was extremely helpful and professional.I wish they would accept tips. I hope this review gives her management team some insight to her hard work and amazing work ethic.

I love the gas prices. Even better when you've done some shopping and you have earned some points. It's really not very hard to acquire a 100 points to get $.10 (10 cents) òff of every gallon of gas. One time I earned 40 cents off of each gallon. I knew I had been doing some shopping but I didn't think that much. Then I found out that my son had used our phone number whenever he went shopping. No wonder! Good thing. He raided our refrigerator all the time.

MedelI gave him five stars all across 10************.This is a man has integrity he has customer service That honestly, the store is severely lacking. I believe Medel should be managing a Safeway of his own.He has what it takes to make sure the customer is happy even if he doesnât have an immediate solution.He truly cares about his customers he went above and beyond I am just really having a rough time. Safeway has $177.07 of my money and Wonât cancel an order that I did not receive and they know it and they tried multiple times to put through the same $177.07 I donât know why??? He tried to help but it wasnât his department unfortunately so heâs going to follow up on it and try to get them to take care of it. Heâs the ONLY person from Safeway out of 40 to 50 calls that I have had called me back from the store. I have left numerous messages for the Actual STORE MANAGER to return my call yet I havenât heard back from that person. I also asked who the district manager was and they said thatâs secret information but they will assure he would call tomorrow & he hasnât either so I just looked it up online so now I have a call into the district manager as well. Anyway this is about Medel and his amazing customer service, and going out of his way to make me feel like I was cared about as a customer in that goes a long way .Medel youâre just righteous you are kind and generous caring all around just an amazing person to have spoke to tonight because I was having a rough time and thank you for going out of your way to use your own money and do something kind for me. I wasnât expecting it was just really generous. I think Safeway needs to give you some time off paid. You are amazing. You are promoting material to get your own store.I wish someone worked undercover they would Definitely do something great for you. Youâre the best Worker, the hardest worker at that store.I just want you to know I appreciate you what you did my daughter appreciated what you did you are a kind godly man with integrity and just God bless you thatâs all I can say seriously I get choked up Thank you, kindly, sir

I have stopped shopping at Safeway in American Canyon, because of the employeesâ rude, hostile, ignorant behavior, and because of their incompetence in filling on-line delivery orders. I recently filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau; and Safeway didnât even bother to respond. In fact, I've been complaining to the BBB and to the store managers for years; and the problems persist. So I have finally given up on the store⌠The worst incident was when I politely asked a Safeway employee about opening an additional checkout lane (because the lines were so long at the only two open lanes â one regular and one express). She rudely snapped at me: âI have no control over that!â Then she walked away. She didnât have the intelligence, or the civility, to refer me to another employee. Several weeks ago, Safeway hired an especially unpleasant young woman checkout clerk with no personality. She doesn't even respond when customers greet her. She just ignores them with a blank expression on her face. And she never offers to place the bags in the customersâ carts (which I found very stressful when I had an arm injury). She doesn't even slide the bags to the end of the counter. She just leaves the bags in front of her, where they are difficult for customers to reach. This is the PITS! I've never before encountered this degree of ignorance from a checkout clerk anywhere. When customers ask her questions, she responds in a rude, hostile, disdainful, ignorant manner, as if the customers are âbeneathâ her and a ânuisance.â A few weeks ago I complained about her behavior to the store manager. But that checkout clerk is still there, and her behavior is still just as ignorant⌠I was recently treated like a ânuisanceâ by Safewayâs employee, Mary, when I called to find out if the store had the large quantity of canned olives that I needed for an event (to save me from wasting a trip there if they didnât have enough). She was rude, hostile, impatient and disdainful, and made it very clear that she resented devoting any time to my query. Like the new checkout clerk described above, she is presumably unaware that I (and other customers) pay her wagesâŚ. As for on-line delivery orders - my last delivery was missing several common items that the store always has in stock in abundance. In fact, right after receiving the delivery, I went to the store, and I found that, yes, they had all those items on the shelves, in abundance, as usual⌠I now buy my groceries at Walmart and at Trader Joeâs in Napa. Itâs worth the half-hour drive to Trader Joeâs, in order to deal with employees who have some concept of competence and civility.

They implemented a new store policy, can't buy beef jerky unless you go through the normally closed cash register... The manager decided this policy combined with not staffing the second register in the beef and booze section was a brilliant move. Meanwhile, the other registers have nobody at them, while the one guy at the only open beef and booze register has a line down the aisle. I get the loss prevention tactic here, BUT STAFF BOTH OF THE REGISTERS...

Stopped in kinda late looking for something to eat. Super glad Safeway is open until 12 am and always clean!!! Even though self checkout is closed the line moves smooth and I got a SCREAMING SICILIAN Pizza to munch on for the low low member price of $9.99 Happy Valentine's Day to me đ¤Śđżââď¸đđ đ¤Ł

Gas station review only. After the remodel it would have been nice to have other touch less pay option instead of Apple pay, GPay or Samsung Pay. When I tapped my contactless pay card it faulted out and I had to start my transaction all over from the beginning. What a hassle for a $0.10 discount

Safeway on American Canyon Rd. I paid cash for my gas but was charged the credit price. Daniel couldn't fix that and said I had to go into Safeway to let them know, since it was a Safeway gas station. Alejandra refunded me the difference, but I have to wonder how many others lost money because of the faulty pump. I was told they would call someone to fix that. Will it get fixed before or after they make a little more money off of people who may not have the time to go into the store to get their money back? Gas prices are too high to let something like that slide.

Such horrible customer service in this store. I was standing and waiting for a florist for 20 min, but nobody showed up, I asked store employees to call someone still nothing happened. There were more people besides me waiting for a florist but after some time, they gave up and left. I went to the customer service desk, but still, nobody helped. There were 2 ppl, who clearly don't care. Unbelievably such horrible customer service still exist. Shame on the all store management who allow doing so.

So we are no longer receiving much of our delivery. We are paying for it though. This is the second time In two weeks that we have not received our full order yet we were charged for it. Someone is stealing: either Employees at the store or the door dash driver. I realize this is not Necessarily the companies fault. However the companies gotta put in measures that ensure that their customers were not stolen from.

I like how the manager has organized the categories of food. You can easily find what you're looking for because the categories are all in one place. For example, I had gone into the Lucky's in Napa for point Reyes blue cheese. I spent a long time looking for it and finally found it in a totally different area from the other cheese. At least Safeway has their gourmet cheese closer to the other cheese. And Safeway I can always get in and out swiftly. The service is good

You have to know the store in order to get good service. I wanted salmon and there was one price at $10.99 per pound. There are many different cuts, but only one price. I chose a filet and the price was $16.99 per pound. I asked why, and was told that I chose the wrong cut. What a scam. If you are selling something please put a price on it. The employee was rude and no apology. Stay away from the fish and meat counter. This is not an honest operation.

Several cashiers seem to me that they may be unhappy. I recieved a half-hearted and dry greeting without a smile from my cashier. I would've been happy with a fake smile! The good thing was that I was in and out very quickly!

Safeway is my go-to store for most of what I need. The prices are a little more than places like Grocery Outlet, but they also have a much wider product base. Add your digital coupons in the Safeway app for the best savings.

We shopped really late Sunday and with only 1 register open and the self check , of course everyone is waiting in n in line for the 1 register and of course our cart was full and Theodore topped it off....the Little In lady rushed us thru like a Marathon Runner!! I just want to make an complaint on how my items were treated by cashier Bobbie. I mean every time I go to Safeway sheâs always rude, I try to make small talk because as a cashier myself I like when they make small talk etc. So as I put my basket on the belt to be rung up. If she needed me to unload my items out the basket Iâve couldâve done it. But she did not say a word the whole time sheâs ringing my things up. But she ended up unloading my items like literally slamming them on the belt and ruining my sandwich and tuna salad that was packed nicely. And thatâs not all when I told her I needed bags she started throwing them in there and I told her I can bag them myself and she just ignored me and start throwing more items in the bag! Customer service sucked.

Since the store chain was bought out, it has lost its neighborhood feel. Used to know and have friends whenever we shopped..now lucky to find a familiar face day to day. Nice to have some from time to time that have been around for years,vs days or weeks Iintermittently. Pharmacy is great...they do care and remember you. Most checkers are friendly and efficient, nice to chat with, but too often some just the opposite. Prices are good, though have gone up like everywhere...using card and coupons is worthwhile. Seem to be phasing out many familiar items, but still best place in town. I did give a 4..as most employees are friendly and attentive.

Ordered online and when I went to pick up groceries, waited 30 minutes in the car after notifying staff I was there. When I called to check status, a staff member told me all staff had left for the day....I watched her bring out groceries 10 mins prior. When I mentioned I just saw her , she got an attitude and thought she hung up the phone...I heard her complain about me to another co worker. This was the worst customer service ever! Left my number for management to call ( of course the manager was on break when I went in ). Online ordering not easy or service oriented.

The food is very good. I haven't ever been disappointed, nor has anyone in our party. If the weather is good you have three choices on where to eat. You can eat in the restaurant, in the covered patio, or out with the view of the river. This is a very good restaurant.
