Amazing store!!! Steve's has almost anything you need for your pets and at great prices. There are two resident cats Barkley and Stella so mellow and sweet and a couple dogs including JoJo who is just so energetic and friendly. I will definitely be back this is our new go to pet store.

Nothing against the store, my dislike is with the staffvaccines on Sundays, it is already my dog's second year and now we take a baby golden retriever and apart from the vaccines we request a physical, our dog is deaf and has vision problems...Well, to begin with, the managers couldn't calm the little dog down, he didn't stop moving for a minute... At no time did I check his eyes or his ears, the only thing they did was weigh him and half look at his teeth... And the blade What they gave me was that everything is normal 😡😡 that was a big theft.

Steve’s is the best! Everything you need for your pets! They are my regular groomers for my cooker spaniel. They are caring , and thorough! I love their service, and it’s so affordable!

I had a grooming appointment set for what I thought was 9 am. When I arrived it said to enter through the back. There are signs that say grooming is at 9:30 but the door was open. I called out several times because there was a cat and I was holding my one year old and my dog on leash.Then a dog came out off leash. The blond lady arrived and when I asked her to please get her dog, she tells the dog, “don’t worry Ill get her out of the store” and yells in my face to get out, shooing me away with her hands, down the stairs, WHILE I HAVE MY BABY IN MY ARMS!!!I assume this is the owner and as a small business owner myself I prefer to support mom and pop shops, but I was so surprised at her behavior I couldn’t even speak.Shame on you lady! I will never go back to that store.

The lady behind the counter is a total witch for no reason. Well maybe her panties are in a twist. I didn't even say anything to her but could feel her fuming witch energy and see it in her dark sad soul. My mom politely asked her some questions about some dog chews for her dog with health problems and the lady flipped out. Won't be buying anything here in the future. The dog Jojo they have hanging out is pretty cool. 1 star for Jojo. Don't come here if you want to enjoy your day. The lady here is one of the rudest people you could ever come across.

I’m so sad to post a negative review but hoping things can change. An absolutely adorable pet shop with great quality products and affordable prices. However, the customer service is such a turn off that I almost get tears in my eyes when I leave. We drive quite a distance to support this shop (almost monthly) and are treated horribly every single time by every employee. One particular woman is almost yelling at us and rushing us around the store and treating us like a major inconvenience while we are literally the only people in the entire store. So stressful and so anxiety inducing. People make the business. Have to gear up my stamina to be treated poorly before coming and SUPPORTING them once again.

The owner is a Karen! I feel sorry for the dogs there. She’s Rude and racist. I heard her mumbling some not so nice things. When asked about it, she rolled her eyes, turned red and wouldn’t repeat it. POC go elsewhere to get the service we deserve.

I just had my little dog groomed here today and had a HORRIBLE experience! I reserved a slot online a few weeks ago and got an email confirmation about the appointment yesterday. But when I showed up at 9:58 for my 10 AM appointment, they had no record of it. I showed the confirmation to the woman at the counter and she had a lot of attitude and gave me a real guilt trip but when I protested she reluctantly took my dog, and told me "she's not going to be ready until after 2 because all of the other appointments are already here." Mind you, I was EARLY for my appointment. 2:00 came and went, then 3. I called to find out if she was ready and they said she wasn't and they'd call when she was. I waited 2 MORE HOURS and finally called again. They said she was ready, and that they had called me. They never called. I had my phone right next to me the whole day waiting. I rushed to the store and my dog was whimpering in a cage all alone in the darkened grooming room, which was closed up for the night. When I asked the teenaged worker why I never got a call, he said, "Oh, I called the wrong number." No apology, nothing. And the cut wasn't even that good! You get what you pay for, I guess. Needless to say I didn't tip. Never again. Please avoid this place, their service is just awful.

This place is the best! They always have everything in stock and if not, they'll have it in a few days. The owner is super accommodating and will make things right, IF YOU JUST TALK TO HER IN PERSON. No need to shout or post a nasty review online, just be a normal human being and explain the situation. She will always try to do the right thing and correct the issue. That the difference between big retail stores vs family owned businesses.

My young son and I went in because we were excited about his new gecko. I wanted to ask what we needed and any tips, etc., and to buy crickets. The mean blonde older lady just acted rude, like she didn’t want us there. Get a new job, lady. This one, which is literally about assisting others, is not for you.

Every time I've taken our dog here for bathing and grooming, he has looked fine. They do a great job every time. I don't care if people aren't 100% friendly all the time. They have never been rude to me. They have actually been more than patient with me when I was running late to pick up the dog after grooming. They were patient when I asked them to make changes to the haircut they gave him. They are professional and they take care of their animals on display. They know what they're doing. Anyone on yelp or here, who is bashing them, are most likely competitors in a failing attempt to defame this business and the manager. Get a life, people.

Had a scheduled appointment with Steve's pets. I live close so I asked if they could call me when they are ready for my dog to come in - rather than locking him in a cage for an hour or two. They said, "yes". I waited for the call, nothing. I then receive a text asking, "where are you?" I call and tell them I was waiting for the call. She hangs up the phone and says we're done. I call back and was told the groomer does not want to work on my pet and refuses service.Also, the woman who answers the phone speaks over you, will not listen, rushes you off the phone. Not good customer service.

Thank you so much to the staff in helping me with a flea infestation in our rental home. You all were exceptional in giving me information and helping me figure out what to do. Special thanks to Sam for all the info and patience and the young woman who sold us drops and explained how to use them on our dogs (sorry I didn’t catch your name when you were working on the evening of March 16th). I don’t know what I would have done without all of your help and knowledge.

The young people in this store are helpful and somewhat friendly. The older blonde woman is not friendly and could care less if my well behaved dog and I were there. I found out she owns the store! I am not giving this ungrateful woman any more of my money.

My husband and I took our four legged ray of sunshine to get vaccinated today. The staff was great and Toby didnt even feel the needle. Positive experience. I purchased some healthy treats for Toby for being a good boy and ambassador for all pitties.

I LOVED this community pet store. It brought back nostalgia. The store has a shop cat and shop parrot that greets you "hello". They sell stuff at a reasonable price. Parking in back. They also sell rats, mice, chinchillas, and chicks! Low cost vaccines for pasadena residents are given through a foundation here on Wednesday's. I'll post a photo of their schedule soon. They offer google/apple pay. Check this place out!!!

The store is good, but the groomer is overcrowded. When I stopped my dog off I was nervous about bordatella because the were so many dogs, and they were all barking and in kennels. They did the job though I didn't like the cut, but this was my fault for not being more specific (though they were so busy/ frantic with all the dogs calling that I felt rushed when explaining what I wanted). They were efficient and did everything in a timely manner.The hectic environment really stressed out my dog. They lost her stay out of a kennel to help soothe her, but for her I think it eased all still a bit too much. I dont envision myself taking her back.

They are always so kind, so helpful, not condescending. At some pet stores I get the feeling that the staff would really prefer to not deal with a human at all.. Like "animals rule, people drool" sort of thing. But at this store, they don't view me with contempt because I happened to be born homosapien. My dog is a picky eater (mind you, she eats poo). But for 5 years I could not find a dog food that she would readily take to. Until this shop and their staff helped me. They rock!!!

Terrible, i booked a 3pm appointment for a quick bath on their website, and walked in at 2:45.. after knowing on the window the store employee came to the back by me saying “you booked the appointment to late” as if it’s my fault for selecting the time slot available on the website.. then he went on about how he staff has left already for the day and that he only learned about the my appt about half hour ago, and every other excuse, any normal business would let their staff know there’s an appt coming in, or have some sense to notify the customer that they would at least have to reschedule. I still can’t shake off that comment though, as if its all my fault. Just terrible.

When i picked up my dog from getting groomed he was missing his tags. I took him again and they couldn't find his leash. He didnt even have his collar on. They said they gave him a flea bath but he had flea's when i brought him home. Two days later he still has fleas. We took him another bath on the third day

My dog pharaoh loves when it's time for a a flea bath, r cut. The staff is extremely nice, friendly, and with the high prices of things today it's nice to go some place affordable.

It's VERY clean and organized. I was greated at the door by this big fluffy dog. I felt so blessed. And there was a kitty chillin on the floor. I went there looking for feeder mice but they didn't have any at the moment they get their stuff on tuesdays but I did get my dog a couple treats. Great place, close to my home, and very staff.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would, but unfortunately 1 is the lowest. When we first walked in I was greeted by the cutest Labradoodle who walked up to me and let me pet him and love on him as much as I wanted, but unfortunately that is where are the warm and fuzzies ended and the rudeness began. The blonde, the blonde, the blonde...that lady is seriously atrocious, unhappy, rude, miserable and just all around unhappy with life itself. She was so cold and short I just couldn't believe that she was out front instead of in the back doing paperwork. I don't know who owns this place, (probably her because otherwise I'd think she'd be fired!) but they would do themselves a world of good by getting rid of the metastasized cancer that is that lady! She is like a dementor and will steal every single ounce of joy you have. I would cross the street before even walking by that shop if I knew she was in there. Spend your money elsewhere! Don't support a business that doesn't give a damn about having your business.

Took my lil man Duke (Terrier) to get cleaned and groomed. Roger is the man I trust with my dog. He takes his time and the cut on my dog was perfect. Thank you Roger for the great job.
