I had an obscure project I was working on for my RV and was in the fastener section probably looking quite puzzled. Meghan approached me and asked if I needed any help and proceeded to not only answer each and every single one of my questions, but was so incredibly kind in the process. By the time I left she felt like a really good friend.I came in the following day with more puzzled looks and was approached and assisted by Kris. Another ACE employee that made me feel more like a friend and not just an ignorant customer =) Thank you so very much for the above and beyond kindness from Meghan and Kris. It's so seen, felt and appreciated.

Ive never had the best customer service like this in a while, 4 young men were kind enough to help me, going by the names Omer, Issac, Jacob, and Alex I believe (excuse me if I misspelled or got a name or two wrong) each one did they’re part, they each helped my find my soil I needed for my garden project, recommended what concrete to use, and helped with my layout. Being apart of such a big gardening community, I couldn’t give thanks to these young men who helped finish my project off just right. Thank you. Five star rating.

I feel like this place is SUPPOSED to have what I need, but it's always out of stock. No matter what it is. There's a spot on the shelf for it, but it hasn't been ordered. Whenever I question when the item will be back in stock, I'm told they can order it and have it on the next order. I don't understand why it wasn't ordered when it was sold out. Why does a customer have to request the shelves be restocked? I also feel like most of the employees are very young, have little to no home improvement experience, and should be employed somewhere they can actually be of some assistance. I shouldn't be the most knowledgeable person in the store... Trust me.

Somehow they have what I am looking for 99% of the time, even when it is a specialty item or something uncommon! For the convenience of only being a few minutes from my house the prices are reasonable.Very friendly employees and they have had the correct answer to almost every question I have asked.

Last week, I was on my way to go camping in Cuyamaca & realized I needed butane for my camp stove. I called Ace, as it was on my way. The employee who answered the phone was so helpful. She found 2 different types of butane for me & set aside 2 cans of the correct type. She was patient, kind, and friendly. This is one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a while. Highly recommend this store!

They carry most everything you need with competitive prices and a decent loyalty program. Do not get your keys done here, go to a locksmith. I had two duplicates made for a padlock, because we had a broken key. We lost the other key and neither duplicate we got here would work.

Stopped in for a quick few items, The staff was very happy to be at work, which I always enjoy. The store was clean and organized. The selections were better than I even anticipated way to go Ace, keep it up!

The staff are always friendly here, but especially so last night. My key FOB battery died in their parking lot and even though they were already closed, they let me in and helped me get a new battery. I’m so grateful for their kindness!

Kris really helped us out with finding the right products for our projects. I learned a few things about nails from him and we chatted about programming while the paint I needed mixed.It's rare you get these kind of interactions with the busy pace of things at larger stores. Great store for the convenience of not having to go all the way down the mountain to a big city hardware store. Unfortunately, they didn't have everything I was looking for. However, when you live in the mountains you may need to improvise. Which I did. Clean and courteous store. I will definitely go back when needed.

They have a decent selection, although for some things, such as lumber, you have to head down the hill to home depot. My experience with the staff varies, from awesome to arrogant, depending on who you talk to. There is an older gentleman that I always seek out, as he is definitely awesome. The manager, a kid who acts like he knows everything and anyone else is an idiot, should not be employed at all with his attitude, both towards staff and myself. Put the older gentleman as manager and let him hire and fire and I am certian my review would go from 3 stars to 5 stars. Customers are to be treated with respect, not contempt!!! *edited for spelling

Staff is friendly. The store is small though and limited on what they carry. It's a convenient store for a quick tool or nut and bolt but it's not a large tool mart. Is also a little pricey as are most shops in Alpine.

Living up here in Alpine, CA, this little store has most of what I need for routine fix-it type home maintenance. All the staff are very helpful. Their prices are mostly competitive and it beats running 12 miles down the hill to save a few bucks.

Had an issue with a Stihl trimmer (Which I purchased from this location) and the service I received was incredibly good. The service team kept me in the loop and worked with me through all the warranty issues and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Special compliments to the service manager, CJ, who made sure the issues were 110% resolved. With all the stress and issues of the COVID pandemic, it was really great to see customer service still shine at a local retailer. Thank you Ace. You really are the helpful hardware place.

These Folks are ALWAYS SOOO HELPFUL! Despite I'm one of the last ones in there, frantically looking for what I need, As kind and polite as anything they, they must see the look on my face, cause they step right in and grab everything i need with out hesitation even suggest I take a picture send it to my boyfriend, just to be sure I have the correct items, Allowing me to act like I know what I was really talking about!To all of you,... You typically find Ace Hardware in smaller towns and it's everybody's go to place when they need something I don't want to drive to one of the big box stores. I expect to pay more for the convenience I'm not having to drive to a Home Depot or Lowe's. Forget about buying Lumber there but if you need screws nuts bolts and such there's a fine selection. The local Ace Hardware management team ensures that there are plenty of staff to help you find what you're looking for. Of course the selection isn't as big and many times I still need to drive to the Big Box store but they do have a nice selection for their size

This location is in a strip mall in Alpine, CA. The convenience of having a hardware store next to a grocery store is great. Ace Hardware is a great place to shop for small hardware items - specialty screws, parts & pieces, etc. The staff is very courteous & helpful, will be there for you until you find what you need and/or assist in sourcing it.
