I just took my very senior dog here for the first time, based on a recommendation from our beloved vet. Happy Paws could not have been sweeter and gentler with our blind, deaf, wobbly little boy. They asked all the right questions and took all the right precautions. We could not be happier. And he looks marvelous!!

I have been coming to Happy Paws since 2008. The owners have such a love for dogs!! Staff are so friendly and the place is very clean! I moved further away from Alhambra, but still make the trek to Happy Paws bc of the great job they do.

The groomers here are GREAT! I travel a lot and have had my dog groomed in 5 different states, this is the best grooming! They did exactly what I wanted and my baby came back happy, healthy, and beautiful! I'll keep coming back for years to come!

One of the best grooms my dog has had! Ever. Price point is a little high but I know my double coat dog needs more grooming and inflation is real. Overall very satisfied with the cut! And they were careful with my big boy.

first time Jessie provide me a good service. that's why I will come again. but today is second time I came here. Jessie is not here only Saturday. that lady told me next time she will charge me extra fee for him. actually I help her to put mask on my dog to avoid biting. She said there will be an extra charge for a second person to help for next time. I didn't really see anyone helping her. Last time, Jessie didn't say anything to me, but this time she said the next time there would be a charge. I'm confused. Why didn't you tell me about the fee the first time I came to wash the dog? The point is that she didn't give me a good attitude and didn't see another person cleaning my dog together. I gave her a $10 tip after all she washed my dog. The dog's head is still wet. This time finished washing, my dog has no small scarf. I will never come to the store again. At least I don't want to wash her again. She's rubbish. But Jessie is a good person.

First time for my puppy P-NUT at a groomer. I was happy with how calm he was. The staff are nice, and they handled my dog with care. Just an FYI remember to bring your dogs rabies shot papers if they are 6 months or older. They have a window so you can see your fur baby. Loved my first experience can't wait for next time.

Great place to take your dog. They take good care of them and they have good prices. They are good about following request, such as no perfumes. They also hand dry your dog instead of throwing them in a blow dryer cage.I'm a picky dog owner. My dog is my baby so I'm picky about how people handle her and what they do to her. They are very transparent on what they do, how they do it, and requests that can be made. They provide a high quality of service and professionalism that you don't see at big box stores or most any other place for that matter.I highly recommend supporting this small business.

Love the groomers here! Quality service and prime location. Prices are fair.I feel like they treat my dog nicely and they listen to you and your dogs needs. They keep your details on file so they remember your dog and how you like them cut and how long to cut their fur. Out of the dozens of times I’ve been here, I would say they average around 3 hours for my dog’s full grooming appt- I’m sure it depends on other factors such as size and your dog’s temperament. When your dog is ready, they call you back. And your dog is waiting for you with a pretty bow or bandana! ✨🐶I really only have good things to say about this place. I’ve been to other groomers and my experience has never been this consistently great. The groomers know what they’re doing and my dog comes out looking cute every time! Never a knick or cut on her either.ApptsThey are pretty busy as of May 2022, with appts being a week out.ParkingThere’s a tiny lot in the back. However I park down the street and walk over because getting in and out of that lot seems to be a hassle with a bigger car.For Roxie- she’s a 15 lb non shedding malti-poodle/wiener dog= $60 for a full grooming. That consists of a bath, cut & trim, nail trim, ear cleaning, and outer anal gland expression. They take card and cash. No extra fee to use card. Tips appreciated.

The owners of Happy Paws absolutely have no idea how to treat a customer. They are rude, vindictive and downright disrespectful. I am surprised they are still in business. After I made an appointment for my dog on 10/20, I got a call on Sat 10/16/20 from the owner Carlos canceling my appointment. He is so vindictive that he actually called me on a day they were closed. Who does that? His reason was that I was upset that they charged me an additional fee for charging my credit card without disclosing it ahead of time. The first time I took my dog, there was no additional charge for paying with credit card. The second time they automatically wanted to charge me. I told Carlos that he should have disclosed the additional fee even if it was not much at the time I made my appointment. We were both upset at the miscommunication but I apologized and left my dog to be groomed. So when I made another appointment to take my dog in next week (10/20/20), I thought nothing of the past experience. However, the owner Carlos was apparently still upset about the last encounter more than 5 months ago when he called me on a day they were closed to cancel my appointment and told me in no uncertain terms that I could not take my dog to him for grooming anymore. It is hard to imagine that a small business in today’s difficult environment acts in this discriminatory and unprofessional manner. This is pure prejudice and discrimination especially after I apologized the last time.I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAPPY PAWS GROOMING & BOUTIQUE. The owners are insensitive, rude and have no respect for their customers. There are a lot of other groomers besides Happy Paws where the owners are anything but happy. The irony behind this is the sheer hypocrisy of the owners to display what clearly appears to be my dog’s picture (Cockapoo) on their landing page of their web site.

DON'T bring NERVOUS or SCARED pets here!I recently adopted a new dog who has a bad skin allergy to pollens. He needed to be groomed desperately with medicated shampoo. I called and he was scheduled the same day. The gentleman who took him in was extremely polite, understood all our needs, and that this was our first time bringing him to the groomers. Our dog was wearing a cone to prevent him scratching and nawing on himself, but he assured me it was no problem. An hour later, I received a call from our groomer who was in a panic saying she forgot to put his cone back on and he was not behaving. Needless to say I rushed over to go get him assuming they weren't able to work on him. When I got there, he was being given a haircut...shaking and nervous I could see him through the window. I spoke to the owner who asked me if he already had a cut on his face before he came in??...We absolutely did not bring him in with a gash on his face and we had just had him at the vet in the morning and that was not there. It was raw cut on his cheek that was obviously fresh and they blamed it on the dog.Due to their negligence, that cut on his face would not have been there had they placed his cone back on like they assured me they would. When my dog was not cooperating they should have immediately stopped the process and allowed me to take him home. Instead they continued to try to work on him and kept saying what a horrible dog he was and the humane society should have never let him leave. The owner did not charge me (which is a given), the groomer was the only one who was empathetic. I had to take my dog BACK to the vet the next day get him on antibiotics to avoid infection and pay for a second visit. I called the owner advising I would be taking my dog to the vet and I asked that they pay for the charges as I would have none had they handle the situation professionally.Instead of being sympathetic to all the issues she sat and argued with me blaming the dog over and over again. Instead of realizing, she the shop owner, should have responsible employees who do as they promise and most importantly make the decision not to work on a pet when it can potentially harm someone, including the animal. After several minutes of back and forth she finally became apologetic and agreed to have her groomer pay the vet bill...?! That's the only reason I never went back to receive the compensation, because of the fact that the owner would not cover it, yet her employee had to?? Poor management, terrible negligence, and no responsibility taken when things go wrong here.

As many know, most dogs don't like to go to the groomers or the vet.Mine don't and are quite vocal even on arrival. I doubt that you will ever hear silence at either place, right?. Dogs barking is normal. That's what dogs do. I would never assume that it is because they are being hurt or anything. With that said, I have 4 shih-tzu dogs and have found Happy Paws to do a great job. I have never found a nick or cut and they leave them looking cute.I am very happy with their work and I guess the pricing is the norm. It's more of a strain for me having 4 dogs.
