My brother is in the hospital so I am taking care of his cats. One of them was having trouble walking and needed her nails clipped. They took her in without an appointment, trimmed her nails and also removed some mats in her coat. The cat was much happier after that. Thank you, Bark Avenue!

The young lady at the counter basically kicked us out as soon as the clock struck 5:30. Complete lack of customer service. Common courtesy would have been to begin her closing duties and allowed her customers to finish shopping.

Never shop here. The young girl at the checkout was rude and unfriendly. I wanted to exchange a gift given to my mini poodle that tore within minutes. Their policy is all defective toys must be returned to the manufacturer. Usually a small business is so welcoming, accommodating, and values their committed customers. Shop at Pet Food Express in Danville no here. There the employees are educated and provide exceptional customer service and so friendly.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried so hard to keep doing business with a place. I moved to this area a year ago and was so happy to find a local pet store that carried the brand of dog food and treats I buy.We have 5 dogs and have been spending 150-200$ a month here. I’ve had exactly 1 return for a bag of crushed treats and was warned they don’t deal with returns.Still, I let it go and kept coming back.But today did it—rude/indifference Every. Single. Time. . I’m DONE spending money at a place I’ve started dreading to go to. Small business have been crying for years about how they just can’t compete with the big box stores. YES they CAN! Customer Service is the Biggest Asset! And when I define customer service I’m not talking about anything more than kindness and willingness to help. It’s not that hard.

Awful. Disorganized. I've brought my dogs in several time for last year. The past 10 groomers have been awful. They shaved my dogs down without my permission. Never going back! Don't ever get your dogs groomed at Bark Ave

My first try at a grooming appt here failed when the groomer called in sick and no one told me so I drove there for nothing--noted to myself not to take the first grooming appt of the day, and tried again. On my second try, the groomer called me last minute and asked me to come early so they wouldn't have to wait around, since their other appts had cancelled. So I scrambled my work schedule and dropped my dog off 2 hours earlier. The groomer finished the appt, kenneled my animal, and left for the day. No phone call to me, no text, nothing. Disorganized at best. I'm done taking my pet here.

Bark Avenue is an awesome local pet store and I was surprised to see how large the store is inside. They have a huge selection of dog toys, pet foods, and pet bedding. They are definitely on par with some of the larger pet stores and since they have an abundance of parking in the Alamo plaza lot this will be my first stop when looking for some new dog toys. I have two enthusiastic dogs and needless to say we go through quite a few dog toys.I was also impressed to see they have a ton of walk in services like nail grinding/dremmel work. I gave up on clipping my dogs nails long ago and have found the dremmel method to be far superior. Most local vets still only clip nails so I was excited to see this service be available here as part of their dog grooming. They also will brush teeth, comb outs, and many other services.

Above and beyond customer service... when I told them I had a sleeping baby in the car, they came out and sold me the cat litter there!!!! So grateful to have them in the neighborhood!!!
