My wife and I stopped in on our way to Alabama from Oklahoma and we are glad we did. Fresh food and fast and friendly service. Carla served us and did an amazing job. If/when we pass through again we plan to stop.Ordered big Daddy Johnson burger and the fried catfish.

We hiked at Village State Park then visited this restaurant. The food was wonderful, service was good BUT we did not receive a receipt for our party of 8 so we all checked out at the register. After we all paid separately with gratuity, we noticed the sign that said 20% included on party of 8. We were never advised by our waitress or the woman checking us out that gratuity was included SO we all tipped 40% . When I said something it was almost like a joke to the girl that check us out. We will visit this State Park again but not this restaurant.

Me and my mother came in and seated ourselves. When they finally came out to take orders they took a table that came in after us first. When I finally got my food my hashbrowns had black stuff in it. When I asked the waitress what it was she said that we came in after breakfast was over (we did not. They just finally got around to taking our order after breakfast was over) so it's just some black stuff from the hamburgers on the grill because they are cooking lunch too. They didn't charge us for our food but as we were getting in the car the waitress ran all the way outside and shoved the money we left as a tip at my elderly mother and said appaarently she needed it more than they did! If you aren't a "local" avoid this place like the plague your money or business isn't welcome there.

Ordered after we got our food we never seen our waitress again. She didn't ask if we needed anything else or nothing worst service ever !! This restaurant needs some serious management help! My sandwich was so hard could not even bite the bread and very dry . Dissatisfied

Today we had a large group of 45 people stop at Johnson’s Fish House on our Music cities tour. We had pre-ordered with Tanner to help speed things up. Well I can honestly tell you this was a spectacular experience! They handled our group so seamlessly and the food was hot and fantastic. All 45 people were impressed! Served with smiles and laughs with our customers. I would highly recommend Johnson’s Fish house whether it’s just to pop in for a meal or book your group in 🙏Dietary restrictions: We had a few dietary restrictions and they were handled with ease.

1st time eating here. It was really good, we had jumbo fried shrimp plates. And I ordered the chicken fried bacon with white gravy. I have never eaten bacon like this but it was good.

The food was great. Everything was made fresh. Took 45 minutes to get our food, but it did taste wonderful. Only 1 server in the place, she forgot one order of eggs, couldn't get her back to our table to tell her so had to go tell her while she was in the back. Couldn't get drink refills, so we got up and got our own. If you go, plan on being there for a while. Pancakes were not good. My kids wouldn't even eat them.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly

I'm from out of town, but I decided to go in in because a friend recommended the fish to me well I happened to be passing through. Great atmosphere, I grabbed an order to go. It was ready quickly and the food was absolutely delicious. The hush puppies are literally some of the best I've ever had, a bit on the small side but they gave me three instead of two which made up for the size difference. They're so good I would have settled for two though. Absolutely delicious and I hope I get to visit again.

Cozy place, very generous portions, and friendly servers. Food came out in reasonable time, and it was hot. Only complaint is the different deep-fried foods all tasted the same. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I want to not have everything taste like it's breaded.Overall, a really good family restaurant. Tables are spaced far enough away from each other that people aren't feeling like they're eating with strangers. Music was at a comfortable level. Place was nice and clean. We'll be back.Vegetarian options: Lots of stuff to choose from, and they can tailor any of their salads to suit you.Kid-friendliness: A few booster seats and high chairs. A lot of items on kid menu.

So far we are not enjoying our experience. We are from out of town and dropped in to eat. All I can say is it was chaotic. The waitress that didn't show up and called at the time she was due into work, was very unprofessional. We heard the whole conversation amongst workers all the way in the dining area. A heads up would have probably been appropriated so preparations could have been made. The manager was called because we heard that too. To tell your only waitress there on a busy night to "Call me if you need me", I do believe her phone call was telling you just that. You left one waitress trying to answer the phone, which was ringing off the wall BTW, to take orders, wait tables, work the drive through, and train a new employee all by herself. You should have came in. We just wanted to enjoy a quiet nice meal, but the whole time we heard every conversation, complaints and felt like we were training also. It was loud and chaotic. Not a good dining experience for home town people but mostly for travelers. Not to mention, I don't know what we wound up listening to over the speakers because they were told to watch what they played because the speakers were linked to the ones up front as well, but no one payed attention.I sure hope things got better after we left which was not soon enough.I hope things improve but we probably want be back

Very good food and great service. Prices are very reasonable. I had their 2 chicken breasts with side salad, baked potato, and toast for only $8.95...was awesome

Food was good. We got asked by some friends to join them at their table. We did. We told them to separate our ticket. Now I know why they said we will just put it all together and when you come up to pay we will separate at that time. Did not think anything about it but I left a $5.00 tip like I always do for just two meals even when real cheap at places if waitress good. I could not believe how much our food was. My husband did not know there were no sides to his meal. He asked for onion rings not knowing it was upsizing for more. Mine was right but brought my salad out in a tiny tiny bowl that would make a mess. Asked for a plate. We got charged a 20% gratuity fee on our reciept that they would not take off because said more than a party of 10. I explained all she could say is we have a sign at the door that says we charge an 18% gratuity for party of 10 or more. I explained to her we came in by ourself got asked to join. We tried to get them to give us a sep receipt and would not. Now I know why. They got $8.00 gratuity plus the $5.00 from us. We are sr citizens on fixed income. I do not recommend eating there. We will not be back.

This cost $11.05 for a burger and fries . Those where some expensive fries . Only got like 5 fries and they where small fries . Must of come from a golden potato .The worst place to eat at . Macdonald's has better burgers than Johnson's . And you get more fries .

3/11/23I have eaten here many times in the past but the past several times that I have been here has been terrible. Today was the worst. It took a long time to get waited on and there were only 3 couples there. It took a long time for our food to come after we finally got to place our order. I had to ask for a fork to eat with. The tea had an odd taste. We got our salad after the meal and had to ask for it. Nobody ever came back and checked on us after we got our food. Most likely will not be going back. This used to be the best place to eat in town. It use to have the best service and food. Not anymore.

I was here last year and the food was great. This time wasn't great. We ate here 2 different days and the only reason we did was they had enough room to accommodate 6 people. I understand that they are shorthanded but...when you wait a while for your food it should be hot not cold fries and green beans. They did replace it though. The waitress never came back to ask us about refills.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu..Great hamburgers.

Food was good. Waitresses were nice. Nasty restrooms. Cook came out of restroom with no running water so possible food contamination. Constant forgetfulness of orders even though they wrote them down. Food overpriced for small portions. Would eat here again if ordered ahead or if paid for but otherwise, not so eager to eat here again.
