I'm SO glad I found this place for my pup! The entire staff were so helpful, informative, patient, and non-judgmental of my breed of dog. They treated us with so much kindness and even the folks in the waiting room were friendly! The place we were going before in fayetteville was not a good experience at all. I am grateful for Smithers to care for my growing pup and shower him with love as we go for our appointments!! 💕

I originally gave a 4-star review, but Dr. Smithers called me personally to ask about my review. In that conversation, I realized I had rated them on something they didn't have control over. In fact, Angie at the front handled that situation like a professional. Way better than I could or would have. It was a very rude pet parent. Although we should speak up if we feel wronged, this person was literally becoming physically angry. Not cool. Not to mention, it made me feel very uncomfortable, but Angie was a super star at calming the situation and ending that visit.Thank you, Dr. Smithers for the call and conversation.Thank you, Angie, for your over the top customer service for everyone, especially during such a hostile encounter.Thank you, Smithers Team, for loving on my fur babies and all my grand fur babies like you do.You were recommended to me, and I highly recommend you to everyone ❤️

Dr Smithers took care of our 2 babies,Westies, from the day he moved here. What a caring and fantastic vet, the best. Our babies passed away and he was so kind in helping them pass when their time came with the most love, honor and compassion. Can’t say enough good about him. Now we have a new Westie puppy and wouldn’t take her anywhere else.

Very friendly and inexpensive. They helped me with my 6 week old pitbull puppy who had shuddered his the left side of his nose, and just recently helped me with my 1 yr old shih tzu who had a ear infection. I brought her in without an appointment and they were willing to work her in. I will be bringing them back and all my animals in the future

Friendly staff! They always seem so excited to see you and your pet.I first found them this past summer when I woke up to my 13 year old Cat Gusgus not able to walk or keep any food or water down. Gusgus’ lifelong vet would not see him, instead they told me I would have to go to the emergency vet clinic because they did not have the staff or supplies to see my baby. I called Smithers who I had never worked with before and they got me right in and were so kind to me and Gusgus. Because of how they helped me through that tough time I will forever be a Smithers customer! I recently got my new little man Shorsey and he loves them so far!

I don’t live in West Fork.. and would never have been to Smithers Animal Hospital.. but our sweet Hutch, who had been fighting cancer, took a turn for the worse while driving through. We had to make the impossible decision to put him to rest and Smithers was the only center around.Not only were they incredibly professional and compassionate, but about 6 weeks later, they sent me the sweetest sympathy card with prints of his nose and front paws enclosed. How thoughtful! And what a great keepsake that I would never have thought of - especially in these circumstances. I’m so thankful that they handled him in this time and that I have such a sweet reminder of our baby Hutch.Thank you Smithers Animal Hospital!!!

My pets are never fearful when we enter this door. Quite the opposite. Staff is friendly and kind. I have one very anxious pibble after a traumatic event at Weddington Animal Clinic. Idk what happened but after getting his nails clipped there he became a different dog. No one can touch his feet unless he's passed out and even then he's alert and suspicious. He cries out of you even try to look at them closely. Smithers has been wonderful with his fear and anxiety about his nails. My other pibble is a rescue and he's just so much of a good boy that he good boys everywhere with everyone!! He's ALOT! They treat him with kindness and a firm grip on that leash lol! He loves this place bc the people love him. My cat will never enjoy going to the vet but she tolerates then and that is saying ALOT 😉 they are very affordable and have never hidden any fees or charged me for anything I didn't know about up front. My pets are healthier, happier, and better taken care of bc of Dr. Smithers and his staff. THANK YOU!!!!

I first brought my pup Mia to SAH for their puppy package and then for her spay surgery. At each appointment all the staff were friendly, prompt, professional and informative. Any phone call, text or email was answered in a timely manner. When I was showing my concern each one showed compassion and care for both me and my pup. The veterinarian here is just wonderful. The staff are very nice, and everybody treats you like they’ve known you forever when you walk in the door. I’m always amazed at the quality of care they give the animals and the compassion they show the owner. I’ve never really had a regular vet for my animals, until now. I will continue taking all of my animals that I have now, as well as future animals to the Dr Smithers. I can’t think of another vet in the area that I would give such high recommendations to. They can also be contacted on messenger… and they respond!!!! ( their fees are more than reasonable).

I have been taking my pets here for all of their needs since moving to West Fork. They have had everything between routine visits and ICU stays. When I tell you that this is the best place in Arkansas, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. The amount of love and compassion that they show my pets is synonymous with my own, and that means the world to me and my family. Having my sweet Sheba away from home is so hard, but knowing the amount of love she's getting at SAH makes it bearable. If you're looking for a veterinarian clinic that genuinely cares about your fur babies, this is the place 100%

Today was our first visit to SAH. My daughter & I had to put our sweet baby Tyler to rest. I want to say thank you to the Dr. and staff. They showed us so much kindness for this heartbreaking time. Our baby was 14yrs. old. The Dr. showed us so much compassion while talking us through this. We felt they all really cared. God bless each and everyone who helped us with this. Tyler will be greatly missed and never replaced.

Great folks work here. They have been so gracious and kind in the care of my ailing kitty cat, GiGi. They managed to fit me in the same day I called even though they were swamped. The doctor spent time with me explaining exactly what was going on and my options. I can't say enough good things about them. Thank you! Blessings!It's a year from the above visit. I had another occasion to bring in my Gretel cat this time. They got her in the same day I called, diagnosed, and treated her and sent me home with meds. What wonderful, kind, and patient folks! Again the doctor walked me through the illness, what to expect, what to look for in my cat's recovery, and shared with me lots of knowledge about the illness itself. I can't say enough good things about these folks! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Ended up having two animal surgeries within two weeks. One was an emergency surgery on our dog who ate a fish hook 🤦🏻‍♀️ and the other on an adopted kitty’s hip, who must’ve recently been ran over. They received excellent care and are both recovering well. Prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend Dr. Smithers!

I went to Smithers for FIRST time a few weeks ago but was absolutely blown away by the experience- in a bad way. Dr Smithers came in to the room and didn’t even touch my dog once of look at him. The entire visit was him trying to sell me a flea medication - and I’m legit not exaggerating. Come to find out after going to an entirely different vet my dog has a respiratory issues going on and something else. The Smithers visit was a waste of time and money! They charge over $100 and we didn’t even get answer/ dog wasn’t even looked at. Literally gave us 2 weeks worth of medicine that didn’t even work. I was hopeful it would work.. I wasn’t even going to leave a review but after going to country veterinary clinic in Farmington I realized how bad Smithers visit really was. I would not take your pets here. Are pets deserve love, care respect and at Smithers they are just a number. Trying to get paid is what my experience was and it makes me sick.Smithers if you would like to make it right I would appreciate a full refund since our pet wasn’t even taken care of or looked at. The entire visit was how we should buy this flea medicine.

First , I would like to say thank you to the staff at Smithers they truly care about their clients and their pets. Summer always greets you with a smile, and the rest of the staff greet you right away. They know their clients names which makes you feel comfortable. Next , I would like to give Dr. Smithers a huge shout out! He came out to greet you and give diagnosis. Today , I had to make the decision to put my pet down. Dr.Smithers made the process very comforting , he explained what would happen and let us spend time with her before she was completely gone. Smithers is great! We always take our dog here for boarding and vet care. It is very affordable compared to what's in Fayetteville, and the employees are all very kind. Our dog loves them!
