This is a great hotel and very reasonably priced. The owner knows what he is doing. No breakfast, but with what you save, you can go to a real breakfast house.Rooms: Very nice rooms. All you really need. Large refrigerator/freezer.Safety: Inside rooms. Felt very safe.

I had a reservation with this hotel and the guy from the front desk made racism because we're Romanians and we can’t sleep in his hotel. We paid them and when they take our ID, he saw that we Romanians and he told us that we can't sleep in his hotel.he was a racist Indian BTW

Walked in to check availability as I was there to visit relative for the Christmas holiday in nearby Nursing Facility. Everything was on point. I understand with the pandemic and safety precaution why the dining area was closed. That still was not a problem for me. Front desk clerk (Dee) was attentive to my needs, courteous and professional. The price was reasonable. 👍 Dee you 4got to give me my receipt. Please send via mail/text or give to my Niece when she checks in on Tuesday Dec 27th. Happy Holidays

My wife was not impressed with the customer service when we checked in, she has worked in many hotels/motels. That in return does not make me feel the most welcome here either. There is no list available as to local attractions, food, delivery, etc only a list of what everything in the room costs if its damaged. Impressed with the housekeeping. They did a good job on our room while we were away. Cosmetically this place is well kept, has good landscaping. It is apparent the place is cared about as it should be, being one of the only places to stay when visiting here.

As a traveling Superintendent and Hospitality Business owner that travels a lot, I have to give this establishment 5 stars. Star City Inn and Suites is by far one of the cleanest rooms that I have personally stayed in. The price is very affordable and the hotel comes with many amenities. For the small size of the Town this Hotel has BIG things going for it. The pool is very nice, a bit small but nonetheless nice, especially on a hot day. One thing that I would like to mention is the fact that many times that I stay at a hotel the room and sheets almost always feel damp and the rooms almost always do not cool sufficiently, this establishment does not have this issue.. I don’t know how they pulled it off, but they did! I’m staying for 60 days this go round and I am glad that I switched Hotels from Monticello to here!! 5 star rating all day.

The staff was asleep when we arrived (8:45 pm) and checked us in wearing pajamas. She was very friendly though and quickly checked us into our room. At first glance the room was relatively clean. Fridge worked, microwave worked, clock radio was unplugged but it worked. Its $62/night hotel so I understand that chocolates on the pillow aren't an option. But the room was in decent shape. The problem, and hence the low rating, came once we tried to settle down for the night. ROACHES and Silverfish, lots of them, it seemed like everywhere you looked something was crawling. Out from under the phone, along the headboards and baseboards, showers, sinks and even from around the fridge. We stayed only because we were leaving at 4AM (duck hunting) but we slept in our full clothes because of the creepy crawlies. If the hotel gets a good spray it would be just fine. It was quiet and well maintained, but they have a serious insect problem.

This place is nice to be the only hotel around. The hall way smelled a little funny. And we were sad to have no breakfast. (We went down the road to Carla's restaurant for breakfast) and that was great!. BUT it does have $1.00 wash and dry.. took the dryer 3x to dry my clothes. But I will be back here. Rooms are nice and clean

Well I really want to be riding a review if I didn't find out my friend got kicked out cuz I came to help with the fact that he was homeless and struggling the tornado made him homeless and he started working as a custodian for them to my understanding they kicked him out do to me coming to help him get his life back together they don't like visitors

Stayed here for a night. The rooms were Nice and clean and quiet. The pillows are nice and fluffy! The bed was a little hard. The shower dispensers were out of soap and shampoo. The rug coming into the back of the hotel was well worn and several people tripped over it as they were coming in and out of the door. Accident waiting to happen! It states on their website that there is a continental breakfast however the breakfast was closed down due to covid. It did not state that on the website, that probably needs to be updated so people aren't led to believe they will be food in the morning! The vending machines were both broken therefore we couldn't get snacks either. Staff was friendly. Our TV in the room did not work so we called down to the front desk and was told that maintenance would be contacted and sent to help. After waiting over 30 minutes we started messing with the TV cords behind the TV and got the TV to work. Something was not plugged in to the cable box etc. Maintenance never did come!

Extremely rude staff. I had booked based on info on their online listing regarding pet policy. Drove out of my way with small children and my dog. Explained the situation and she stated they had “just” changed the policy to only allow dogs under 10 lbs (so, more accurately, hamsters). I told her we just needed to rest and would not be leaving the dog at any point. They still sent me away and did not offer to help me get refunded. It was terrible. Due to the area I was driving through, I ended up having to drive through the night with all of my kids since I couldn’t find another pet friendly hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Additionally, the lobby was very dated and had a strange odor, and two staff members were in the lobby area with NO masks despite the state mandate. Stay elsewhere. I warned you.

We often visit our grandkids in Monticello (24 miles away) We often stay in one of the two best hotels in Monticello. However, if they are booked we like to avoid the next tier of motels in Monticello and stay here. Clean rooms, no problems with the fellow guests, excellent staff and a swimming pool for our grandkids. If this motel was located in Monticello, we would likely stay here each visit (cost is about half of the fee for our two Monticello hotels.

Everytime I come the staff are always helpful, nice and professional! The rooms are always clean and smells fresh!!! And the breakfast is good!!! There's a grocery store across the street and Sonic, Subway, Pizza Pro and McDonald's extremely nearby! The price of the room are great!!! Will stay here anytime I'm in town!!!!!!!

Honestly i was looking forward to a nice relaxing room. It wasnt very clean the bathroom had hair all.over the floor in the bathroom. Also i saw online about breakfast and was upset when they said they didnt have it. I understand its due to covid but all sites should say that. We also asked if they had any thicker blankets and they just left us on hold.they only have sheets on the beds so i hope you dont like sleeping in cold rooms. We asked for towels and they did not supply them and we went to the pool and someone kept watching us from the door , eventually we got extra towels after a child asked us if we needed anything. my daughter got stung really bad on ths first now by a huge wasp too.. and a man in the hallways asked us if we knew where to find drugs. Also no one came in to clean the room.and change the sheets or trash.

When the upstairs room started practicing for the "River Dance" I should have packed up and left. Not only did it go on all night long but they even got intentionally louder when the front desk was called. I sincerely believe that they people upstairs had to have known the management or paid some unheard of amount to stay because I have stayed in a room at PCB during spring break and it not be this loud and for sure just be allowed to keep guest up all night. Also take no help offered by management, this is at your own peril. Whatever they offer and ask to be paid back don't, you will never pay off the debt and they will use it as a reason to kick you first chance.

It Sucked charged the room to debit card went to check in and was told that he needed a 50 dollar cash deposit and an extra 5 dollars for both kids to swim in the pool. Asked why for the 50 dollar deposit and why wasn't my card charged and he had no answer. Then asked Why I had to pay for my grandbabies to swim and no answer was given. THIS IS BS!! Me and my wife work hard and just wanted to spend time with our grandbabies and NOT BE PRICE GOUGED. We will never stay here again.NO STARS!!!!!

Horrible hotel is all I have to say. I stating this hotel because my company booked it. While out working they went through my things, broke stuff that was mine, and of course denied that they did. The towel were so worn and rough they were almost as thin as sheets. The fitted sheets wouldn't stay on the bed since like everything else they were worn out. The AC unit unit only work about half the time. Needless to say it's in my opinion this place should be closed down.

Clean, friendly management and house keeping on most days were very rude they come to your room to clean an hour to two hours before checkout time at 11:00am. One day the male housekeeper tried to come into our room while my husband was in bathroom I was half dressed and he literally tried to push his way in. When my husband catme out of bathroom the male housekeeper was nowhere to be found and he did not e me at all after that day. I tried to stay there a few weeks ago and the desk attendent had me a room on first floor coz I am disabled and had already taken my money and the male housekeeper came to front desk when he saw it was me and in their language told the clerk to tell me they had no rooms available. that day my car was the only car or customer on the whole place. yes I got upset and told them they were discriminating against me strictly coz the janitor got caught up trying to push his way into our room. Would not recommend this motel to anyoneSaw where it is forcing sale for 900,000.00 someone with people skills should buy this and then it would be a great place

This hotel is great.For breakfast, they have waffles, blueberry bagels with cream cheese or butter, oatmeal, orange/apple juice, toast, cereal and sticky buns.The shower was nice and roomy with the Arc curve. The king size bed was comfy. I always bring my owns pillows and shampoo. What's nice is they have built in shampoo, body wash, and what's nice is they also have built-in hand soap. Hand soap is what we use at our home- not the small bar of soap most hotels give.The Wi-Fi on my phone was in and out- probably because it's a CBS building. I understand they provide WiFi, but I never use any hotels WiFi for security reasons.The hotel has a swimming pool- I didn't use, and an ice machine is easy to access on the 2nd floor, where we stayed.

Terrible Experience....Book reservation with BOOKit and arrived only to find out from manager he didn't have it listed ...not a problem but Manager was very RUDE and wanted to argue with me and complain about BOOKit always messing up. Very poor customer service and out side of the rural areas would have yielded accommodation. Word to the manager customers should always be treated with respect! Somebody tell the MANAGER is need hospitality training...
