This is a high volume Dollar General, and can be very busy. However it is ran by an excellent manager who keeps the shelves stocked, and the store relatively clean considering the amount of dusty boots coming in and out. I've always had courteous service.

Dollar General in Star City has a friendly, helpful staff who often go out of their way to help customers. For example, our community has a high number of patrons who are elderly and/or disabled. The staff are always eager to assist with the physical aspects of shopping, including helping customers to their vehicles and loading their purchases. I have been helped (on more than one occasion) when an employee has chased me out of the store because I had left or forgotten something. I can always count on the staff to be courteous, friendly, and welcoming. I can think of no specific incidents when there were unattended spills, accidents, or any other unpleasantness. The variety and availability of stock is very good for such a small market, and our town is fortunate to have such a convenient, affordable, and friendly business.

I often stop at Dollar General for various things even if it's just a cold drink. Of course you can find almost anything you really need. Most stores get 4 stars because they are overcrowded and it's hard to find stuff, but this one gets 5 stars for being spacious and we'll stocked.

A member of management actually, falsely accused me of stealing. Not only did she falsely accuse Me, She also unprofessionally I suppose as I've ever witnessed started yelling it across the entire store. as though she was being held as a hostage or something of that nature..

It is clean and organized when I come here. The only problem I have ever had is checking out can take a while. However, it is because of how busy they get sometimes.

Do not go in there to buy any prepaid cards. When their checker messed up entering information. Another person came up punched a few keys said I had money on some card or cards he did not know how much on what card or cards. He then took my money and receipt and left me looking at casher. Causing me to miss sale. This was friday. I go back monday and they don't want to take care of problem. I would take the one star down but program won't let me. I'll drive 30 miles before go back in there.

Store was clean ,well stocked ,staff was friendly . My problem was the checkout line was 10 people long ,the little girl checking called for someone to come help at least 6 times . I don't know where the other girl was but by the time she got there the line was 16 long people were not happy . You would think they would have more than 2 people working in a busy store li .My e this .

Very slow employee and wait time for checkout takes way linger than shopping. The cashier always makes sure she finishes talking or stocking before they will check ya out

The parking was a little haywire. It was a tad bit ran down. The bathroom had dookie splattered on the wall. Other than that it was okay.
