Desk lady is rude. Absolutely no help at all with their entire job, yknow, sheltering animals lmao. Refused to take this dog that’s clearly house trained and very nice. Had to call a different pound, and now they’re actually coming to get her. Way to waste my time and be absolutely useless!

It was the Friday after Thanksgiving and I found a stray dog who was pretty skinny while out exploring the town. The officer had to come from home on his day off to come get the little guy but he was super nice.

I hate this place I had a dog name Daisy but they change her name to Indy I don’t see her on their website so she must be with another family they found her when she ran away once and never called us and put the wrong information in her bio she ain’t one in a half she is two years old maybe three now it’s almost February where he birth date is at I have not seen her in months I miss her I will never go here again (A picture of Daisy should show up)

I adopted my dog, Harper, here in October. she is the best dog I've ever had in my life (of course that's not necessarily due to them but still). when i put in my application, they called me back either that afternoon or the next day to say that i had been accepted. her spay surgery was scheduled a mere 4 days later, and i was able to pick her up immediately thereafter. the whole thing was a very prompt and painless process. I have also called them about strays and saw their trucks in my neighborhood within minutes. minus 1 star because their webpage with available animals is not always up to date, and the breed identification is very off base, though neither of those things presents a serious issue

We took off early from work, put in an application to rescue a cat, Contacted 2 of our references explained that they would be expecting a phone call on the adoption. After 5 days of no contact we contacted the shelter to find out they sold the cat to petsmart and We could put in an application and purchase the cat from the local store.

This place is a joke. It should be shut down or hire new employeesthat actually care about animals. I found 3 puppies in side a box at a street corner. I took them in and the front desk lady was so rude. They won't take the puppies in because they were found not within city limit. Now I'm stuck with 3 puppies that haven even open their eyes yet.Updated pic...3weeks later. Sadly 1 puppy didn't make it.

We have a couple of escape artists in our dogs and my daughter's pig. They are always very helpful when I call. We got one of our rescues here. The paperwork was easy. I like that they require a vet reference. Everyone was very kind to us.

I volunteer to walk the dogs for them when I can and these pups are just the sweetest. You can tell they are well taken care of here waiting to go to a forever home.

Horrible experience, we went and looked at a dog for my daughter the dog we were interested in went up for adoption the morning we went. When we decided to get her we were told that we were the first people who put in a application. That was on a Saturday in Monday morning they called and left a ride message that we had not been approved when my wife called back and asked why they said there was allot of interest my wife pointed out that we were first. The supervisor lied and said people applied on Friday but the dog did not go up for adoption until Saturday. They then told us they gave the dog to someone who didn't even apply for the dog. How do you adopt a dog out to someone who didn't even apply for it they didn't even check our references they told us the supervisor rejected our application for no reason. So that leads us to believe either a friend or worker wanted the dog that's why the supervisor rejected our application.

I love how some people are posting *great place for a great cause* I'm pretty sure y all are just trying to hide the actual comments. Went there to adopt a baby named chica for my 3 little girls they adored her. Put in application waited a week called back and they said we were denied they said my home wasn't good enough and my references didn't check out. 1st off I lived in the country with wide open fields 2nd the people I put down I trust with my life and I called all 3 and none of them were called by the shelter. How are you supposed to save them and give them great homes if they won t let you? This is why people shop not adopt, because these lying bastards.

Just called to get a puppy picked up that was found today, and the lady was completely rude! That is all I have to say. You are in the business of helping, animals or people, liven up a little bit lady. It wasn't that hard to put in an order for a pick up!

These are the people that deal with the constant aftermath of morons not taking care of their pets.. Pets smarter than their owners obviously.. So , so many uneducated selfish people out there. I've submitted an application for adoption online and in person and so far received silence from the Siloam springs shelter. They don't see to have much sense of urgency to re-home the animals, especially for as many as they say they have there. It's disappointing.

These bastards took my cat with a tag and came to my door telling me he was at the pound and I had to come get him. I called when they left and found out from a wimpy sounding guy on the phone that it was $15 for the pound few plus $5 for a tag even tho he has his rabies tag and all that...and clearly was registered to me bc they came to me knowing his name. Well, then these poor excuses for human beings came to my door again after the call and said "if u don't come get ur cat u will be charged with adandonment" I said I literally just called to find out what the charge was and y'all at wback at my door harassing me for what reason? Then the male who was with the rather large female, stepped up like he was all bad and said u are going to be charged with abandonment and yelled it over and over as I closed the door like a tantrum throwing 5 year old, his name, officer Michael. So I Calle day fiancé and told him to let them know f they come back harassing me again, I'd be making a report of it and during their asses hard. 😁 They didn't come back. It is a terrible tragedy that I even award them with a one star rating, although it was just so I could share my annoying expierwnce with everyone else. This place and their employees are hardly mature enough to have a pet as far as I can tell, let alone steal others pets and harass them about it. Hope nobody else has to deal with the ludicrous behavior I witnessed today. Officer Michael and his larger female counterpart are really despicable and anointing people working for an equally offensive corporation that steals pets with tags then asks u for money to get them back.-and to those who may be concerned, I will be getting my cat back. 😁

I appreciate the care they take, keeping kennels clean, allowing a walking program, always taking pride in who gets their animals in hopes that they go to a great home. Good staff that work hard and deal with a lot.
