The store is no better over a month later. Actually it gets worse as the days pass. Each and every isle has some sort of trash, debris, products, boxes, large wheeled carts that hold boxes of merchandise. You cannot go down many of the isles due to these hazards. It is really unbelievable and disgusting. (See for yourself in the newest photos.)

Parking lot is riddled with massive potholes that will damage your vehicle! The place is always a mess, a bunch of coolers and freezers don’t work. Whoever owns this property should be ashamed of themselves.

I really like this Dollar General. It's right down the road from my house and they're always fairly friendly and they always have a large selection of fresh groceries which I like. They're open late which seems like the only time I ever like to go shopping anymore.And if. I get their right at clothes. They'll stay open a little bit longer for me really great store. I would recommend

Employee asked me if he could take the drivers license off to the office and copy them. I went and made a copy of them somewhere else because I did not feel comfortable doing that and when I came back he would not even wait on me.

Disgusting bathroom covered in dirt and full of random merchandise... I would have taken a pic but didn't bring my phone in. Just know the bathroom sink is covered in dirt, there is an OPEN (no lid), half used isopropyl alcohol bottle sitting on the sink, there are toilet paper rolls scattered willy nilly on the floor, DG boxes and just random junk all over the place. Makes me wonder if this store was abandoned by the companyEDIT: revisited 4 months later... STILL DISGUSTING

Susie is the absolute worst customer service representative I have ever experienced. I have been coming to this dollar general for 5 years straight and have never had an issue with the staff before she started working. She follows me and stalks me when I’m in the store shopping. Makes me feel very uncomfortable. I have not had an issue with anyone else, the other staff members are very kind and helpful.

The employees are always right next to the door smoking and I have asthma so that doesn't help. They recently changed mgmt so store looks better and clean but lately I've noticed a new employee that looks and acts high. Some days she's normal and other days she looks super messed up on something.

Terrible customer service. Bought a loaf of bread there last night. Opened it to find mold everywhere the next day. I had thrown out the receipt. They refused to exchange it. And Samantha the general manager was extremely rude about the return. On top of that the store is a mess and dirty. The bathroom was atrocious and had no tp. We will not be back until management changes. This is apathy at its worst.

its easy for items you need that day the only gripe I have only one cashier in evening when there should be 2 lunes get long should be quicker to check out not waiting in long lunes go to Walmart for that there's more people who ship after work should have 2cashiers in evening

WORST WORKER IVE EVER MET!!! New guy named Marcus argued with me and my daughter about my receipt and a refund! He told me he would NOT be giving me a receipt nor retrieving it from the trash receptacle where Macy has thrown it away at. After going back 3 times Macy did look in the trash but she herself couldn’t find where she’d actually tore it in half and thrown it away. BECAUSE she didn’t, Macy is young and just looking to get a paycheck she crumples the receipts and tosses them but it’s protocol to rip them in half.....doesn’t happen.he proceeded to tell me it was impossible to get a refund because the barcode was ripped in half???? How?!!!! There wasn’t a receipt found!!! I told him I’d call the big manager in the morning, he went on to tell me he didn't care if I called the district manager or not he WAS NOT giving me my money back!!! Luckily I’m associates with another store manager who came from home to RE PRINT my receipt and give me my money!! I go here 3/4 times a DAYS and HAVE NEVER been talked to like that EVER by an employee!!!! I work public relations and if Marcus doesn’t like his job or people maybe he needs to find a new occupation because at the Batesville pike location EVERYONE is warm and friendly and he’s throwing off the entire atmosphere!!

Employees here are great at customer service. But the store is always a mess. Always a mess. There are always things on the floor everything is disorganized and there is little if no order to this store. I realize that this is a common problem with this chain. But come on guys.. you can do better than this.

The parking lot has a massive pothole and when it's dark and the whole entrance is covered in water YOU CAN'T SEE WHERE IT IS. I'm talking big enough to take out a tire, I know, my suv is currently on a donut. They have their stocking carts in the aisles all day everyday, making it incredibly hard to maneuver through with a cart.

This Dollar General is different than any other. The employees are like friends/family. They go out of their way to help with what they have to work with. Corporate does not send them many things the other stores offer which is a negative, but it is not their fault. Many times I find super cute things in other DG stores never seen in my DG (this store). I found out that they are not allowed to order for their own store. Corporate just ships them items to throw up on the shelves. Corporate, you do not know us as they do! We are not some analysis of the neighborhood, nor or our needs/wants found in your statistics ran for the populated area! Most issues customers have is out of their control. The air conditioning has been on the fritz for the entire summer, but corporate won't get it fixed. Nor will they allow them to set the thermostat here when temperatures and humidity are TOTALLY different than where they SIT in their much cooler offices! The freezer/cooler has been out almost 2 months, but corporate won't fix it. They run out of shopping bags bc it is totally up to corporate to send them (as corporate sees fit). This store is exceptional because of it's employees. I shop there most every single day, sometimes more than once! Many of us here do. DG corporate needs to shape up & help the small stores too! We love that this store is open until 10pm. Lost money moving open until 8am, but happy you left the 10p. Thanks to all the great people at our store! See you in just a few! 😀

Keep the isles an floors covered all the stores ..if the candy snatcher want anyhting they could just walk n an get it nonone is ever upfront which I hope not but I hav seen police at jville dollar gen often wen I lived there. busy stocking shelves not sire y not hire so someone can stock an another can watch front area ..they usally hav nice workers but the attention on registeter.. camera blahhh ain't nobody gone get anyhting then wait on u to look up an com walk over all that clutter to run behind skmone prob much faster. But again hope not. Also hope no one falls over boxes ! Etc.

It's blocks away from home. They stock just about anything you might need or forgot from the superstore. Clover Valley and Dollar General brands offer great prices on comparable name brand foods and as well as taste and quality. My neighborhood store has friendly, polite employees. Rarely a long line for checkout. Quick and convenient. I would have rated this store 5 stars, but the last 4-5 months they are out of stock on many items and not getting restocked. Including some of their own exclusive products, I.e. DG Literacy Campaign chocolate covered wafer shortbread cookies and DG Literacy campaign milk chocolate bars(two personal favorites). But I can inconveniently drive 4 more miles and get them at another DG location. ??

I’m not sure what’s up with DGs saying they open at a certain time. These people never open by 7am! I’m sitting out front for the 4/5 time at almost 730 with no one answering the phone or opening the front.

Only on cashier and 15 people in checkout line. Finally another one came to help and checked out 3 people because she said her food was getting cold and she wanted to eat it before it got to cold. Very poorly managed!!

They have some good deals.. the staff are friendly.. the store I go to has issues with walking space inside.. it can be impossible to maneuver around, so may not be very accessible if you’re in a wheelchair..

Went to Dollar general today they have a sign on the door that says masks are mandatory when entering the store, so I walked in with my mask on and all the customers in the store are not wearing a mask and the employees are not wearing a mask, I need to know who to contact to report this because they are not following the masked mandate policiesthis is the third time I've came into that store wearing my mask without the employees wearing a mask even though they have a sign on the door that says everyone must wear masks no one was wearing a mask except

Hard to find things because the store is overcrowded but did find. This store alway has a cheerful cashier but never anybody to help otherwise. Come to think of it that is the case in all DG stores around here

Hardly anything is ever in stock and good luck finding an employee or even one that knows where anything is. If more than 3-4 customers are there, get ready to spend a while in line! They hardly ever open a 2nd register!!!

Their short handed and the shelves seem bare a lot with inventory clogging the ilse. But they are close to the house which makes it convenient.

It took the manager 10 mins to get to the register to help his cashier who couldn't check nobody out cause everyone needed a manager, then when he came up he was not very customer service friendly........

Shelves and isles in a mess. Stock biggies in way of costumers and store looked like a hurricane hit it. Never seen a store in that bad a shape.
