had a little trip to Searcy over the weekend and came across the Barkin’ Barn. And I am a sucker for local hometown thrift stores, but one of the things that caught my attention was that all of the proceeds go to help the Searcy Humane Society. So not only a great little store, but also serving an even greater purpose. Now when we went into the store I immediately started saying “oh my I remember this” or “this is the same thing that my grandmother had” so if you are like me and are looking to preserve the old ways in some form or fashion then you really should check this place out. But not everything is vintage, they’ve got some great new stuff in there too and according to the staff there is new stuff coming almost every week. And speaking of the staff… this is a place where you could just come in and pull up a chair and sit for a spell and just catch up on things. They were all super friendly and extremely helpful. If you are out and about in the Searcy area then you really should check out the Barkin Barn. I guarantee you will find something there that you just have to have…
