My son and I had a wonderful experience with this business. For the total solar eclipse, we rented a tandem kayak and used their shuttle service for a trip from Steel Creek to Kyle's Landing. Their entire staff was friendly and helpful. Surprisingly, we mostly had the river to ourselves. Due to our flight later that evening, we didn't get to enjoy the area as much as we'd like, so we'll have to come back. Enjoying the eclipse with our kayak on the shore of the river was an unforgettable experience! We would easily do business with Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging again.

Just visited lost valley canoe and lodging again after about 5 years, ive been there a handful of times before while exploring the area and the amazing hiking spots nearby. The property is beautiful, always a pleasant stay! The staff are all great folks and take pride in their work. 5 stars every time for me. The bunkhouse brings me straight back to my youth. Always an amazing experience.

We floated from Boxley to Kyle’s Landing on Saturday. Lost Valley shuttled our vehicle as we have our own kayaks. My wife locked our keys in the truck and stressed about it all day expecting to have to wait hours on a locksmith and incur the expense. We let Lost Valley know. They had Erin waiting on us at Kyle’s Landing with a “break in kit”. He had our door open in 2 minutes and there was no charge!! Great people! We will definitely use them every time.

We stayed at the Ponca yurt and it was a unique stay. The only complaints I would have about that yurt specifically is that you can see through the curtains. There is no privacy. They had solar lights that were meant to help you down this stairs but by the time the morning comes the solar lights are dead so be sure to bring a flashlight. I fell down the steps the first night LOL. Also, the shower was terrible. You could not lock the door to the shower, so anyone that was coming to use the restroom could also access you in the shower. Half of the shower head did not work because of lime buildup. I really enjoyed the location. There is a lot of great outdoor things around ponca. The owners were super friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. I love the way that the food truck is set up directly in the parking lot. BOC was where to go for hot food in Ponca though. Boxley valley just down the road had elk both mornings. AMAZING

I have used them and BOC. They are both great to be honest. Both provide quailty boats and shuttle services. Both have great staff and both are super easy to get to. But the people at Lost Valley Canoe take a more personal interest amd give you so much more information about the river (im talking the small details) i have floated this river for the past 15 years and started using them exclusively a few years ago everytime we come for anything. You cant go wrong with either company but here they treat you like family (the good kind of family that you actually want to be around except crazy uncle ted). They also give you a discount for being a repeat customer as long as you bring the key chain tag back the next time. O and this one is a big one. They are very accomdating on changing vehicle drop locations. There have been times where we went further than planned or shorter and as long as it was a responsible notice they accomdated our request.

Lost Valley Canoe is fantastic. These folks are friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, helpful, genuine, always make our trip to the Buffalo River epic. They handle everything you could need from canoe and kayak rentals, to shuttle services, gear rental, lodging, car relocation, and expert advice about how to enjoy the river and surrounding campgrounds. I have been using their services since 1989 every year and can not speak highly enough about this multi generation family owned business. They are wonderful.Rooms: Yurts and Treehouse rooms at Lost Valley are amazing!

We did a 3 night canoe trip on the upper Buffalo last weekend. First time on the Buffalo and first with this outfitter. They were absolutely fantastic! I spoke to Emily numerous times before the trip as we had weather concerns and she was wonderful. We showed up the day before and got our details sorted out even though the next day was going to be pretty rainy. They were very professional and everything worked smoothly, including the shuttle service for our cars. Aaron was great at the river in getting us set and some good river advice. Was a great trip and would highly recommend this outfitter! Also cool store and nice campsite.Safety: Everything was well run.

Annual camping/float trip with a group of guys from college. We usually take it out of state, but when we decided to head to our beautiful Buffalo River, it was a no brainer that we rent our boats from Lost Valley Canoe.Their knowledgeable and friendly staff was very accommodating of our group (8 pictured but 11 total). We have always loved the folks at Lost Valley because they make everything about the experience fun and safe. We have used their service before and will continue coming back for many years to come.If you have not enjoyed the majesty of the first National River of the US, give Lost Valley a call; you will not regret it.PS - Their River Manager, Aaron, is the absolute best!

Five friends and I stayed in their North Bunkhouse for one night before our big three day float. We were expecting so much less for the price!! Even with the bunkhouse being described on their website as "rustic" and "a step up from camping", I was very impressed. Basic bunkbeds with simple vinyl upholstered mattresses. There was a space heater and A/C window unit, a table and lamp in the middle of the room and a coffee maker near the entrance. The bunkhouse was very clean and provided us with exactly what we needed to get some much needed rest before our big float. With a bathroom and shower house that was so immaculate I wished I needed to shower! I highly recommend Lost Valley Canoe Rental for lodging in the Ponca area. I will absolutely be using their services again in the future.

The folks running/working at the general store were super friendly and very helpful with places to camp/canoe/hike/swim in the area. It was summer and the water levels in the upper Buffalo River were too low to paddle or I'd have rented a canoe with them. Looking forward to returning some future spring to canoe the river and stay in one of their cabins.

Super great experience. We stayed in Adds creek cabin which was super comfortable with a beautiful view & wonderful hot tub on deck. We rented a tandem kayak from steel creek to kyles landing. 11/10 recommend. Staff, accommodations, experience all together can’t wait to do again

I stayed in one of their new cedar Yerts it was lovely. We were very happy with the accommodations. We had everything we needed. The large deck looked over the creek. We had a fire pit and barbecue outside.Nearby activities: Floating the Buffalo is always awesome. The trails and outdoor activities are amazing.

The kindest staff, cleanest, well stocked store in the area. Their cabins are the cleanest you'll ever see, with hot tubs! There campground is gorgeous, with very clean bathrooms and showers. If you're planning on visiting the buffalo national river, I can't recommend Lost Valley Canoe enough! They have all your camping, and canoe rental needs. Best customer service possible! They go above and beyond to accommodate your every need

I've been staying in the Lost Valley cabins with my family ever since I was a baby, and now I come with my husband and friends 30 years later. Their cabins are rustic but cozy and fully stocked with the essentials... also, can't beat the hot tub after a long day of hiking or paddling. The folks who own the place are wonderful people and I'm happy to support them!

I wish I could give this place zero stars! Our group planned a kayaking trip from Ponca to Pruitt, but due to river conditions, we had to take out at Kyle's Landing instead. Wet, cold, and out of provisions with a minor who had suffered a knee injury. When we called Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging to arrange for the retrieval of our vehicle, their response was appalling.Instead of attempting to be helpful or even understanding, the staff seemed more interested in making sure we knew we were bothering them and basically told us to kick rocks, rather than help us to find a solution.The service we received from Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging was far below par, and their treatment of us in our time of need was nothing short of disgraceful. We will never do business with them again, and I advise anyone considering using their services to look elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration and find a more reputable outfitter who will treat you with the respect and professionalism you deserve.

Best Outfitter on the upper Buffalo, and maybe in the entire National River. Small general store with all the things you need, plus local knowledge of the area and skilled workers who know how to paddle water much more serious than the Buffalo, but will hook you up with a canoe or kayak (and sometimes a raft!) for a nice mellow float. They also have several cabins and lodges in the area, and provide 'private' shuttle services, where they move your vehicle from the put-in to the take-out on the river, so you don't have to spend hours shuffling vehicles. All in all a top flight operation.

This place is absoutley amazing. We have stayed at many places alone the Buffalo River, the Lost Vally Cabins and yurt are by far the best! They even provide canoes shuttling if desired! If you want to enjoy your stay, my advise (from a local) is to stay here!!!

If you've never stayed here. You're missing out. My family and I have frequented the cabins at Lost Valley for many years. The incredible people who own and run them are one of kind. Everything in Ponca is beautiful. The cabins are amazing. They have hot tubs, nice ones. Full kitchen, cookware, dishes, fridge, nice and very well kept bathrooms, comfy beds, ac. The one cabin has a small screened in area. Both have nice big decks. Fire pits. And seclusion. Id recommend Lost Valley to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of life. And if you've never floated the Buffalo river... You're missing our on one of God's many masterpieces. Highly highly recommend.

We stayed in a cabin and loved everything about this place, from the location hidden in the trees, to the large front porch with hot tub. We spent the most time during our stay out on the porch just enjoying the quiet and the cabin cat. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. I look forward to staying here again.

We had a family reunion the last week of June and spent 4days. Although the river was too low to Raft or canoe, we had a great time. We have all agreed to meet up every year there for the family get together.
