This area is actually two separate trails. Each trail is a loop, kinda like a weird figure eight with parking in the middle of either loop. I would say Pedestal Rocks is definitely more scenic of the two. It has many caves and crevices to explore and great scenic views. Not to skip out on the Kings river trail, it has some scenic spots also. Total miles for both trails are around four miles. This area has some hills, but I would not consider any of it strenuous. If you have small kids or pets, be extremely cautious! There are dangers close to the trail. Any slip or fall could be deadly! Cell phone signal with Verizon is spotty.

While on a motorcycle trip through the area we decided to stop and take a little hike.We weren't really prepared for the distance and so we went to the route to the right and loop to back around.Wish would have done the other route but we will have to save it for next time. All of us are in good shape but of course being in motorcycle boots and full gear we got awfully sweaty on the way back up.I would rate the trail about an 8 out of 10 but it definitely would not be something I would advise my elderly parents to go do.Also anyone with children, yes there are signs but I'd highly advise making sure they're disciplined to listen because we saw undisciplined kids almost die several times and finally their parents had to put them on a leash. This entire area is absolutely beautiful and well preserved.I have it on my notes to go back and take the longer trailhead to the left next time.Parking: It's mostly all gravel and if busy cars will have a hard time finding a spot but we were on motorcycles so no issue.Restrooms: This is a typical cinder block outhouse...Single.

Gorgeous hike. Amazing views. Decently kept up.I will say, if you're afraid of heights, it may not be the best hike, as the trail flirts with the edge of the cliff quite a bit. But there is plenty of opportunity to hike down below the cliffs as well.Restrooms: Outhouse. No running water of any kind. Also, no trash cans, be mindful to prepare yourself to take your trash with you! :)Dog-friendliness: My dog would have ABSOLUTELY loved this trail. The cliff edge, however, may not be great for some.

We hiked both trails in one day (one very cold day...). It totaled close to 5 miles and gave us quite the workout! But it is totally worth it. The pedestal rock trail has so many cool features and overlooks. Be sure to take the trails that lead to the bottom of the rocks and explore the bluff shelters. The Kings Bluff Trail was a little boring getting out to the bluffs, but once you get there you won't regret it. The waterfall wasn't flowing well at the end but was still a pretty place to see. The trails are very well marked and easy to follow.

A nice hiking trail and dispersed tent camping area. Arrived late and stayed overnight in one area that looks like it is available for vehicle camping. Walked the trails the next day. Well worth the stop and no gravel road to go down to get to it. Easy stop along the highway. Not recommended for those with children that run off .. drop offs and cliffs ..Fees: FreeRestrooms: Pit toilet

The rock features and caves make this a wonder-filled hike any time of year. Leaf-off has spectacular views along much of the trail. Wet weather adds gorgeous falls. Easy hike with a good amount of parking. NP toilet facility near trailhead.Parking: About 10 spots in lot, then long access road along which to park. Early (by 9am) it's easy to find a spot.Restrooms: 1 standard waterless toilet facility, stocked with toilet paper and as clean as can be expected.Dog-friendliness: Easy trail for a well-trained dog.

This loop trail is about 2.6 miles according to my Apple watch. The parking lot holds about 4 cars and there is a picnic table. This trail is very well marked and appears to be maintained. Still, there are plenty of rocks and roots and there is a significant elevation drop down to the cliff area and whosoever walks down must then walk back up. There are multiple “Pedestal rocks” at the end of the loop. Many of the cliffs have no guard rail so watch children carefully. It does not appear that there is any cell coverage. Nice one hour hike. We did not take the Kings bluff trail but that is also available here. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful trail with lots to explore. Under the pedal rocks are some caves that are fun to explore. I would recommend taking the loop to the rocks first to take the easy route back at the end of this 2 mile hike.Parking: This parking lot has room for about 15 vehicles max and not enough room for larger campers or RVsFees: This hike is free and clean. Let's keep it that wayRestrooms: Vaulted toilet that's in ok condition

Good place to spend and afternoon or couple hours. Parking is limited. Picnic table and vault toilet. There is cell service throughout most of the area. Multiple trails to choose from. Trails up top are marked but, ones below are not. Be prepared for uneven terrain and loose rock. Keep close eye on children around bluffs and be mindful or your footing. Dogs are permitted if on a leash.

Wasn't a terrible hike but there were a couple spots with trees blocking the path. One spot in particular the tree and branches were covering the path to the point where you had to trek through the downed tree. Bees were buzzing around it so we made it through as quick as possible. When we saw the sign for pedalstal trail we went right and came back up the left side. Not too sure if it was easier this way or not. Took us about an hour and a half with stopping for photos.

Wowwww.... The hiking trail when you enter left side is so thrilling and fun. Those deep valleys and trees with nature voices 🤟. Nice spot for photographs at the edge of the mountain.

This place was stunning! The hike to the Kings Bluff side was relatively easy for us - about a 7,500 step trail, no hard inclines. It was so interesting and the sound of the waterfall was so peaceful that we stayed so long that the Pedestal rocks side awaits us for another day. This place is about an hour and a half out of Little Rock and the drive is full of picturesque views with rolling pastures and gentle hills.

This was my first time here. It listed this hike as easy, but I will say it was more difficult than that. Moderate seems more fitting. Still, it was nice. I went to see the waterfall since it's been raining and snow last week, but both of them were just dripping. Next time to the caves instead. However, I am older and out of shape, so it might just be me thinking it's more difficult than others. The views were great, and cars were parked everywhere, yet we only passed two people leaving this trail. Everyone else went to the cave trail. There aren't any real facilities other than one bathroom that was a brick building with a toilet seat over an open hole. Bring your own water, snacks, and toilet paper. It's still worth the visit.

Great little trail with worth while views. We brought the dog along and he enjoyed it as much as us. Don't forget to bring plenty of water as there are no services near.Parking: The parking area is dirt and it is small.. depending on time of day and season this could present a problem.Fees: No feesDog-friendliness: Bring your dog, pack out your poo, and bring lots of water! 😀

Hiked King's Bluff today. Beautiful day, around 59°F., sunny and no wind. Lots of hikers today but everyone was well spaced on the trail so plenty of room for great photos. There is a bathroom and picnic table at the trail head. Pedestal Rocks are here too, just a different trail.

Sooo cool! Not hard to trek at all, but could be dangerous with kids/dogs. Very easy to get to and the path couldn’t be easier to follow. I did kings bluff (I think?). Near a lot of other trail heads too.

Both trails are worth a Fall hike. The water fall on King's Bluff was dry, so need to come back in the Spring.Parking: Trailhead dirt road and parking has ample space.Restrooms: Good 'ole chemical toilet.

What an amazing hike. These two trails are right next to each other. It is a 4.6 mile hike to do both. Level is moderate to difficult. But worth every step. The King's Bluff Waterfall is 114 feet tall. And on the Pedestal Rock side, look for a path that drops down below the bluff because there are several caves.

Second trip to this area, the hike around is long but very manageable. The trail is mostly flat. The reward at the end is the view. You can drop down from the main trail and explore the area below the rock formations!

Hike was easy enough. Trails were easy to follow. I would definitely recommend taking hiking boots or tennis shoes that are non slip. Some areas were very muddy. When taking the rosk trail, make sure you take the path that goes downhill if you want to get a better view of the rock formations. Took us about 2 hrs for hiking/picture taking.
