Starts at ⭐ ⭐ ⭐. +⭐ for having an "often open" public restroom while being "in the ghetto" and fitting the bill almost perfectly for "ghetto store". Yes, if you have a backpack you must place it up front when you go in, leaving it's safety in the hands of employees who certainly don't care one bit if it's stolen (oh the irony). Though, to be fair, mine never has been. The "strip mall" type structure that contains it can be aptly described with the words ghetto and dilapidated. There is a vehicle detailing shop around the corner whose employees (owner?) are straight up thugs so best to just go in, do your business and leave quickly. Most of the other businesses nearby are either empty, closed completely, abandoned or dilapidated themselves. If their proprietors were/are anything like those of the car detailing (possible chop shop) place it's not hard to see how they ended up that way.The parking lot is very spacious but also in pretty poor condition.P. S. Be careful taking photos of anything in this area as the denizens of these parts tend to take offense to it as though you either don't have the right (you do) or they have internalized guilt about how they're living their lives. Don't even talk to someone using video chat as they will assume they're the center of your universe and YOU are filming THEM in order to expose their (criminal?) activities to the authorities. On second thought. Do whatever you want. Don't let them bully and intimidate us normies into whatever condition or psychopathology was the cause of their obvious dysfunction.

I understand what you mean Johnny Coleman I was there on December 3rd at 5:00 pm the lady was working there she taking to some black people I said ma'am do you mind checking me out I been standing there for 3 minutes she was so rude to me I guess I should have painted myself black

This store is NEVER open! Always claiming to be short staffed. Close this store! Why is it here? I’ve come to this location 7 days in a row after5pm and they are closed!

The people in here are really nice. It's convenient if you're already in the plaza or if you live on scenic hill.

They never are professional always a long line. One cashier had a conversation on her phone while the line was backed up with only one other cashier at a register. When she finally did check me out she stated she was only taking cards no cash which was fine because I didn't carry cash. My complaint is she had no receipt tape and she was fine telling me this and not offering me a receipt. Hope my purchase works out cause I don't have a receipt!!!!!

I just went in told me no sale of cigarettes after 8 right after, i asked ?! A Blackman walks in and ask for cigarettes and they open up the cigarette booth !?!? I paid for my items with cash..they owed me some change and they didn't give to me? And had a sign said "no cash back" they are strong arm robbing folks. Don't go there unless your of some privileged or you will be robbed!

1st time I've been in this store & ALL of the working employees were working & professional. I've been there where employees were using profanity & acting like they were customers rather than the face of Family Dollar. It was refreshing to say the least. The only negative was no shopping carts. I had to use a basket.

They have finally hired some employees. The shelves already look less empty. Moving in the right direction. Store is always clean, and they have a little bit of everything. $1 section in most departments.

The Family Dollar off Pike Avenue and Pershing,the workers there were loud and not professional, the young lady that checked me out was very rude and non- professional, the store itself was well organized but that front in help needs more people public skills, in which is lacking due to poor management..👎

The worst Family Dollar you can go to they are so unprofessional they close the store down when ever even in the middle of the day it's closed right now. Instead drive a little further and go to Dollar General, or Walmart
