Our little pup was attacked by a big American Bully and when we arrived we were immediately taken care of. The staff is very caring and updated us often. They took great care of our pup and that is all we asked for but, they were all very caring to us as well.I added before and after pictures, Cooper is healing very nicely. We thank you so very much!!!

This place is great! They took my dog back immediately, kept me updated along the way, and explained everything at the end of the visit. The price was very reasonable for a middle of the night ER trip. They also offered resources for financial assistance in case I hadn’t been able to pay. They called several days later to check in on my dog too, which they definitely didn’t have to do since they referred me back to my usual vet. I would definitely recommend this animal hospital.

I definitely would recommend this animal hospital. They are actually open 24hrs. The staff was polite and patient. My dog was able to get to the back pretty quickly. Now I did have to wait a little bit before I actually talked to the doctor but the staff did inform me of situation which I appreciated. The Vet (Dr. B) was nice and seemed down to earth, explained things in an easy to understand manner. I had to leave my dog over night for a much needed infusion. They called me they next morning at the time they said with an update & to let me know he was ready for pick up. I will admit they do have a very expensive down payment which is required before your pet is even seen, which I understand just from working in the medical field with services being rendered and the provider could possibly not get paid for them. I did get a receipt informing me of what was done during his stay and the price & I actually got a little bit of a refund from the total price I paid. The staff called a few days later to check on him, which is always appreciated. I would definitely go back if I had to, but hopefully I will not have to.

I wish I could give 10 Stars!! Dr Ray and her staff are amazing. My cat had a prolapsed uterus and we rushed her in immediately for an emergency spay. Everyone was professional and kind. This was hands down the best ER experience we've ever had and I would recommend them to anyone needing their services.

We were originally hesitant to go here because of some of the reviews, but after experiencing the level of care the vets & techs gave us here, we had to write our own review for them. Our cat was transferred here for critical care a couple of times, until we eventually had to say goodbye to her. The staff were so caring, sweet & made one of the worst times in a pet owners life as peaceful as possible. They genuinely cared about our family and especially our fur baby & went above and beyond to make sure we knew it.

Had an incident with our 3yo cat who got into some food he can’t have (he loves to eat literally anything he can get his paws on). Thankfully I caught him in the act and took him to the animal hospital in NLR after calling animal poison control and getting some direction. The staff here helped us feel comfortable and at ease while they treated our kitty even as the outcome was uncertain. I know I asked so many questions, but they answered all of them with understanding. Yes, they are expensive, but I was not going to let Bruce suffer when I could help it. Thankful our little guy was just fine, but I definitely believe it was because we caught him in time, and the staff knew exactly how to treat him. Super thankful for this team and will definitely know to come here again should we need to in the future! Happy to say Bruce is still thriving

We were treated professionally, and our Joy was given the utmost attention. The staff was very kind and friendly, as was the Veterinarian on call. The Veterinarian spent adequate time explaining the issue and took the time to answer questions. Nothing but a pleasant experience, despite the circumstances.

Thank you Dr. Ray for saving my dog. This hospital took great care of my dog when she had to have an emergency surgery. Yes, it is expensive but the price is what we expected for an emergency vet. They tell you the price of everything up front and after everything we got a little bit of a refund. Thank you to Morgan, the vet tech, for walking me through the after care process and being so patient. Dr Ray and her staff do a great job. I would recommend being your pet here if you ever have an emergency situation.

These people are wicked, they only care about money. They won't even see your pet unless you pay them first. The hospital isn't even like that. They don't have "private rooms" to see your pet in so you literally have to hand them off to some stranger who is only concerned about doing what your up front money will pay for. No itemized invoices are given, no permission is asked, they just do what they want, and charge you a ridiculous amount of money so you can sit in a dirty waiting room and pray that your pet is actually being taken care of. The staff is rude and only concerned about collecting money. Do not take your pet here. My cat wasn't even himself by the time I saw him again, he was so doped up and was startled by my hand coming towards him. God only knows what they actually did to him. They said there was really nothing that could be done for him which would be true based on their diagnosis of a pulmonary embolism. He was in really bad shape when I came home and found him post seizure and without the use of his back legs, but he was at least coherent. He drastically declined after being in their care. Dr. Ray was kind and knowledgeable but it didn't make up for the overall experience. I paid $1,000 for what I don't know and still brought my baby home in a box to be buried.I watched another poor couple sit in the waiting room with their dog that had been hit by a car, trying to figure out how to pay the $1,000 up front so they would take their dog back to be treated. Don't come here if you can help it.

I cannot recommend the staff here enough. While my cat did unfortunately pass away, I was treated with love, compassion, and empathy by all of the staff. They cried with me, let me have as much time as I needed with my baby before I left, and made sure to send me with things to remember her by. To Dr. Beaty and all of the staff here, thank you so much for doing all that you could for my sweet Tig.

Yes, they are expensive. But my boy is alive and improving. I have received several follow-up calls from Dr. Beatty (spelling ?) and staff checking on my boy. I know they saved his little life.

I am so thankful for all of these dedicated people that cared for my kitty when he got a urinary blockage! Dr. Ray is an awesome vet and the staff wonderful and knowledgeable! Even with being so busy, they took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered and my boy was taken care of, even though he had to be watched constantly because he refused to keep the cone of shame on and they had to repeatedly put it back on him! I cannot even begin to express my gratitude and thankfulness to their whole staff, even with the things they have to see and treat on a regular basis, they are willing to continue to be there to help our fur babies! Please keep up the good work, you are all superheroes in my book! <3 Tamano

Thank you SO much for taking such wonderful care of our little boy Moki! He's back to his old self, singing just as beautiful as he ever did 😉👍 Highly recommended this place, they even called to check and see how Moki was doing after getting to come home. Staff was very friendly, clean atmosphere, overall great service 👍

As you can imagine, no one wants to have to take their fur baby into the Animal ER at 11:45PM, but the After Hours Animal Hospital took my sweet baby Frenchie, and had her diagnosed within 15 minutes. They informed me she would need surgery, but gave me the option to give her pain killers for the night if I preferred to have a second opinion from my vet in the morning. After assuring me they would take great care of her and have her back home in 2 hours, I opted for them to perform the surgery she needed on her. They called me before, during and after the surgery to keep me updated and let me know she was doing great. Before even calling my vet to make her check up appointment, they had already sent all of my pups information to my vet clinic and they were aware of exactly what surgery was performed and what medications they had given to her. My vet said they did a fantastic job on the surgery and she wouldn’t have done anything different. I can not speak more highly of the After Hours Animal Hospital. I’m very thankful for their fantastic service and the quality of care they provided to my fur baby. Sweet puppy photos attached ❤️

Did a good job with my dog, got surgery done to put in stitches and the vet was very nice. But the prices are ridiculous. 1000 dollars just to get in the door. 5 times what a regular vet would charge, and they sent someone else away that couldn't afford help. He had to put his dog down.

The Vet and Staff at After Hours were the best from my phone call telling them of my dog's symptoms to seeing her immediately when I got there to the explaination of her medical status and possible options and her emergency surgery. Dr. Beaty and the whole staff were professional and compassionate. They kept me posted on her surgery outcome and updated me every few hours during her recovery. My dog's life was saved because of the staff at After Hours. They are the best.

Very professional and caring staff! They explained everything up front and clearly! They took a lot of stress off us during a difficult time, and they treated our baby as if he was their own!! The price was well worth the care he received and we will definitely utilize their services again should the need ever arise!

After being turned away from Out West Animal Hospital in West Little Rock with our 12 week old puppy who was bitten by a copperhead, we had an amazing experience here! I would 10/10 recommend, and will always make the drive to NLR to come back here if I ever need emergency vet services again.

I can not begin to express the amount of care we received from the staff and Samantha Ray, D.V.M. at After Hour Animal Hospital. They took their time, they were very thorough, explained everything to me in a way for me to understand. I was so impressed. Although, there is no cure for my baby girl, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF), hopefully with medications we will have her for many years to come. I’m going to fight for her. I will keep her as comfortable as I can without her being miserable. Please recommend your friend and family to After Hour Animal Hospital. You will not be disappointed. They are amazing.

The only reason they get 1 star is due to how friendly the staff was. Let’s start off by saying my dog got hit by a car, and she’s completely alive and getting the surgery she needs. She has a snapped front arm, and her hip is completely out of socket. If you care about your animal and don’t want the worst night of your life made even more terrible by being overcharged, and being told different things by the workers.First you pay $1200 just to be seen. They won’t even look at your dog without a full $1200 in hand. They have signs all over the walls saying “we take cash” and I watched them turn away an animal with a snake bite because they “don’t take cash”. So maybe take the signs down if you don’t take cash? That dog had a snake bite and potentially died from them “not being able to see them without payment” when they should’ve been able to take cash. That’s ridiculous.Second, they wanted another $1500 for aftercare which was ridiculous. As well as wanting to potentially keep her for an extra $3000+ over the weekend until Tuesday to see an orthopedic doctor, which would’ve been a double leg surgery costing around $6000. Well.. We ended up taking her to the regular vet closer to us in searcy, and have gotten told if they followed through with their “aftercare” that costed $1500 it would’ve caused further damage, and she would’ve needed an amputation. I was there for 5 hours crying scared for my dogs life, and they won’t even touch her without x2 my rent money just to pet her and give her half a dose of cat pain meds. We got given “30 days worth of pain meds” when it’s 30 pills given every 8 hours.I just want people to know if they go there, they are only going to be in it to get the money first, and will turn you away if you can’t pay. Don’t waste your time and energy going there.

I’m so thankful for this amazing group of people! Thanks to Dr. Ray and the staff, my pup made a full recovery from a critical infection. They were also able to get us in the door when the other after-hours hospitals could not. The staff checked in with me regularly and Dr. Ray made sure I had ALL the info I needed to care for my dog.

I've seen the negative reviews in response to price here and I don't get it. They told us they would see our dog no matter what. While we did have to pay the $650 up front plus the diagnostics, we expected this. It's an ER, they are known to be crazy expensive. Would you not do the same for your human children? My little Misa was attacked by an Akita who they put down immediately with permission from the owners as they were in our neighborhood. The doctor and other staff showed extreme compassion as that was still someone's baby too and it had never been aggressive before. We knew that dog and were sad for the owners as well but they made the right decision. While Misa looked in bad shape, she wasn't dying so it did take ALL day for us to get her back but there was other worse dogs being dropped off (poodle with twisted stomach, etc.,). Misa has no scarring from the multiple stitches she needed (her tongue had to be stitched back together too). They kept in contact with us, and sent everything to our normal vet so they could get us in the next day asap. We paid almost $2,200 total for her treatment, but she is alive and happy again because of them. Pet insurance is pretty cheap nowadays ($10 a month). We expected to pay an arm and a leg because that is the responsibility you take on as a pet owner. Things happen. So THANK YOU to the people who work here and the ONE doctor who was running around like crazy to help all the stressed and worried pet parents. No other ER vet would take us that day cause they were so busy. We will be coming back here if we ever need to...but sincerely hope we do not. The after and before pictures below. You cannot even tell she was hurt.

My dog was hit by a car on Satruday night (01-07-24) and I had no choice but to bring her to make sure she was gunna be ok. They wanted 1200 dollars before they would even work on her. After about 3 hours of waiting we were brought to a room and talked about what was going on. She was stable but had a broke leg and dislocated hip. Then they wanted another 1500 dollars to set/splint her break and clean her roadrash. Then another 3000 to keep her until she can see an orthopedic surgeon Tuesday (01-09-24). With no way to get the 1500 or 3000 to continue the help they refused to do anything else but give use 30 capsules of gabapentin. (Which giving every 8-12 hours so it's only about 10 days of medicine) then sent her home without giving her antibiotics or any wound cleaning what so ever. I highly recommend not going here. They just want to drain your wallet and don't care for the health of your animal. Spent 5 hours to only get xrays and alittle bit of pain meds for my baby.Took her to my regular vet today (01-08-24) and in the 1 hour I was there I spent 1100 for them to see, xray, medicate, and give her surgery. She's gunna be all fixed and in recovery by lunchtime.

If I could give -million I would!!! This last weekend it was about 11pm and my fur baby had just had puppies exactly 2 weeks ago that day and started showing signs of eclampsia, it was a 911 emergency situation and escalated very fast! My husband works over nights so when I got a hold of him and he rushed home and we rushed to the vet by now it's 1am and she was having Sevre muscle tremors or possibly seizing and me and my husband were balling and distraught and my husband was begging them to just help her and save her wed pay whatever but just help her! Mind you she's seizing and the vet come flying in the room and yells at my husband that he will not talk to her nurse that way mind you he was just begging someone to save our baby!! They said they wouldn't touch her without 1200 up front and my husband knew they weren't gonna help and ran back out to the car with our dog and this vet locked them outside! While my dog was seizing!! We couldn't believe it! Did you become a vet to help animals because you love animals.. I doubt that more like your there for the money!! They showed no compassion or any kind of care about this emergency!! Sadly she passed away the next morning! And to think she's still be here if they weren't money hungry!! Shame on you we lost our baby because you wouldn't help us! I now am caring for her babies as I promised her I would!! We are absolutely devastated!!! Shame on this vet!!! DON'T BRING YOUR PETS HERE THEY DONT CARE!! Rest in peace petal! 💙 we miss you so so much! God will make them pay for what they did and I hope his wrath is strong! They need to be shut down and I'm gonna see what I can do to make that happen!! Meeting with a lawyer tomorrow!

Rather than immediately giving our dog charcoal & starting diagnostics, it was money first ($650), then scare tactics to put doubt in you in order to get you to spend more money. They spend an hour on poison hotline (highly questionable) then finally charge ($228) more money to give him charcoal & water under the skin, send him home. Option (2)or keep him there for two to four thousand more dollars.VERY UNETHICAL & UNPROFESSIONAL

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE! They only want your money, are unorganized and staff doesn’t communicate with each other. Which is a great way for your animal not to be treated properly or have something go wrong. I decided not to take my dog here, who’d been bitten by another dog and needs treatment for the wound, pain, and stitches. Here’s why:1. I called around 11:00am on Sunday 12/31 where they told me it’d be a 3-4 hour wait before I could be seen. I asked if there was a way for me to be put on a waiting list or make an appointment so that I could come when they’re ready. The lady on the phone told me “No, we don’t have anything like that. You would have to come in and be present at the clinic and wait until the vet is ready to see you”. So I started calling other places to see if I could find a different place.2. After eventually deciding to go there in-person because no other vets were able to fit my dog into their schedule - it took 20 minutes for any of the staff to speak to me and ask why I was there etc. A mother and daughter were in front of me and they were OBVIOUSLY frustrated and displeased with the staff and what they were getting charged for, their slow pace, and everything. They had to pay over $200 for something, and they were charging her to get an x-Ray done and then another $1,000.00 for something else. After running her card and getting the printed receipt the dog owner noticed that the “client name” on the form was incorrect and had to let them know it needed to be corrected in their system. It wasn’t her daughter’s name either…it was no one they knew. At this point I figured they were paying for care their dog already received. Wrong. It wasn’t until the hospital received payment that the vets would look at the dog. The daughter brought their pregnant dog in from the car and the vet tech took it to the back. When the daughter asked if she could go back their with her dog, the vets told her she wasn’t allowed. Red Flags 🚩 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩3. When they FINALLY asked me why I was there, the lady told me that it’d be a 3 to 6 hour wait. By that time it was 1:00pm. And she asked for my contact information so I could be put on a waiting list and they’d call me when the vet has some availability open up after seeing other patients. I was like UM….WHAT?! And when I mentioned that I had previously called and asked if that very thing was possible, I was told “they didn’t do that and that I’d have to wait in-person” on the phone. She then told me “oh, well that’s weird, well it wasn’t me you spoke with because I wouldn’t have told you that”. I decided to still give them my contact info. Just in case.4. I get a phone call at 6:42 pm. The lady on the phone told me I could come back to the vet hospital now, but before letting me go wanted to let me know about their “Pre-payment Requirements”. She said it’d be a mandatory physical exam that’s over $200, then the “treatment plan” is a minimum of $1,000.00 dollars in addition to the “exam”. AND - any bloodwork or other diagnostics the vet may need to do would be IN ADDITION to the already ~ $1,300.00 they want you to pre-pay before even getting your dog/animal into the back to actually see them, assess them, and treat them. When I asked if I could be there with my dog while they’re doing the stitches she said “oh, no. We don’t let people back there in the treatment area because we have other dogs being treated back there. But you can wait in the waiting room”. Excuse me? RED FLAGS 🚩 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 I told her that my dog doesn’t need an exam or bloodwork, she just needs her wound cleaned, for her to be shaven to treat and clean the wound, to be stitched up, and given something for the pain. That’s it. And then she told me that the “treatment plan” is the minimum $1,000.00 and just repeated that it only covered: anesthesia, a catheter, and other things. But also repeated “if there’s any bloodwork or other diagnostics that need to be done, those will be additional charges”. I let her know that I will NOT be taking my dog there.

Saved my diabetic dog from a serious case of pancreatitis. The vets and nurses here are the best!! They were patient, kind, and very understanding. They gave updates and took care of her like she was their own. Well worth the trip and money when you see your fur baby feeling better.

I wish I could give them 20 stars. Dr. Ray and her staff were outstanding. Very knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and truly cares about your pet. Our dog had to have emergency surgery to remove a foreign object from his stomach. The surgery went smoothly and she gave me a thorough update immediately after and when we picked him up hours later. The clinic had multiple emergencies all arrive around the same time. The staff continued to work hard and prioritize every dog/family in the clinic! We could not be more thankful for the staff and Dr. Ray!! Thank you!!!!

Very quick response time to get us seen! Extremely thorough and transparent with what they were going to do before they did it. Even called to check in on how our car was doing a week later.
