This is your last resort if there is no where else to stay ....Arrived tried to check out the property, first we took a look at the room it was tacky (norman bates vibes) anyway as soon as you walked in the room the TV was on and it was old western movie kinda looked around the room and walk out to go look at the pool area the owner comes out saying she was confused not even getting to enter the pool area we asked why she was confused we had other ppl with us that was not staying there were not allowed to be on property and apparently there was a huge sign in the window saying so lol anyway we didn't stay at all will never ever stay here again!!!! So this is why I give her a 5 star rating. The owner is great at running her guest off and making them feel uncomfortable and targeted. I like the property and the old time feel....just not a fan of the owner!!!!%%%%

I purchased through Expedia, didn't bother to update how many guests because I was paying for 2 queen beds and have literally never been questioned. So at checkin the lady wasn't happy we had 2 adults and 3 children, 1 of which is 4 and sleeps with us every time we sleep in a hotel. The lady was professional but still snippy telling me she'd be charging another $20/night for the extra person since the room is for 4 people. She did move us to a room with a king, queen, and recliner. The tub was clogged, shower curtain blew around and let water all over the floor, not enough hot water for 4 showers back to back. No ventilation and a swag lamp for bathroom lighting.Room was clean enough aside from the fingernail clipping in the bed and soda bottle under one bed. Per the lady's request, we kept our muddy boots outside since the carpet is newer? I stubbed my toe on the 2x10s holding the king frame up. Old spring mattresses. The mini fridge, tv, wifi, coffee maker, and a/c worked fine. Didn't use the microwave. The water park was advertised and why I chose this hotel. Pool water was warm and not over-chlorinated. The stairs and framing holding the slides were badly rusted, one handrail was very loose with insufficient spindles, and my 4 year old busted her leg open going up which is concerning with the rust and peeling paint. Some bracing wasn't connected to anything. But watching people go down the slides, I didn't see them move at all. There's a swing and teeter totter outside, sufficient for what it is. 2 grills that can be used with charcoal. Little ride-on toys, some work some don't.Like everything else in town, very close to the mine. With the extra $40 I paid for 2 nights it wasn't as much of a good deal and although I wouldn't refuse to stay there, I would not make it my 1st choice. The entire town is made up of hotels and restaurants, and the people all seem appreciative of the business because we had good customer service experiences wherever we went.

Rooms were large but not in the best shape, even for the low price. Waterpark is only open if you have more than 12 children under 9 years old, so parties only pretty much. Close to the Crater of Diamonds but there are better places that are cheaper and closer.Nearby activities: Crater of Diamonds State Park, the only diamond mine in the US and you keep what you find.

Would not recommend or stay here again. Room was dirty, needs a lot of work. Carpet was dirty, stained and batched together. I wouldn’t walk on the floor without my sandals. There was no deadbolt or chain lock on the door which was a little creepy. We found a couple of dead crickets in our room about the size of a mouse. Very dirty. Rooms need some deep cleaning or some cleaning. You have to cancel 48 hours ahead for a refund so once you make your reservation they have you. If we could we would have canceled the minute we saw the room. Much nicer motels in town.

Disappointment for the price we paid. Especially the 'water park'. Rusty shards? No thanks.....Could do a little better housekeeping in the bathroom. Toothpaste glob on cabinet and the mirror wasn't cleaned. One Bed corner leg was missing and it was being held up by a couple logs. Kinda strange but....beds were comfortable, sheets were clean, fridge was nice. Won't stay again or recommend.

Don’t EVEN BOTHER STOPPING INTO THIS HE!!HOLE! The woman at the front desk is simply the most Rude & Hateful personI have ever encountered in my 55 years in the business world 🌍! She barked answers at me when I asked her a simple question & she was just horrible to try to talk to. Still so, I had alright given her the money & Did not Know That I could REQUEST MY MONEY BACK OR I WOULD HAVE but from reading her reviews I wouldn’t have gotten it back anyway. This motel has the creepiest, nastiest rooms I’ve never been in prior! My husband is a 50 year plus master electrician & I sent him pictures of the room where the pitiful washer/dryer was set up to ask him if this was even safe. He had a fit. He said that is not EVEN UP TO CODE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! The hot water heater has to be a certain length from the electrical panels & away from water for obvious reasons. I’mNot sure how any of this has ever passed electrical codes albeit has to be illegal. I won’t go into that aspect. But please know this is not safe. The spiderwebs looked like they could set ablaze any second! I have pictures of the Laundry Room. As well as the room where things were all aglow with RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE!!! The TV’ has a device clearly hooked to the base with what appears to be a stalking device. It definitely has every character of stalking characteristics & is hidden behind & tapped to the bottom of the TV SET.ROACHES WERE EVERYWHERE!! Our next door occupants were of the exact same concerns. We all left about the same time. It just wasn’t worth it. There was a man there with her that didn’t speak he just looked creepy & I had a feeling he was busy in the back when she called his name & he stepped in view as to intimidate me; I will say it ran chills over me. Intimidated? Yes Bc I don’t watch horror films EXACTLY BECAUSE OF PPL LIKE THIS, these kind of people, really worry me and are the very reason I don’t watch scary films 🎥! And the lady who was so hateful who owns this ran down roach infested place is going to come back with soooo many excuses about why didn’t we complain to her & report it! We read the reviews too late but read how many ppl you had repeatedly complained to saying the same things back to & not ever addressing the real issue. But pictures don’t lie YALL! So here’s some dangerous pictures of wide open dangerous areas!!! Save yourself some sickness! Do not try this! It’s SHADY, PURE FILTH! Ohhh & as we were leaving I went to the SUV to load back up as the “cleaning lady entered”. She was gone when I returned to get the other bag - Yes!! She had already cleaned or so she called it cleaned our room! Did not even strip the bed sheets! I ran to catch her & she had already cleaned like 4 rooms plus mine on ONR TRIP TO MY SUV THAT SAT RIGHT INFRONT OF THE ROOM!! What? Need I SAY MORE!? No!Rooms: We’re filthy. Roaches everywhere! Most disturbing unclean beds & entire place was just horrible! Something white I’m color encrusted in the bedspread! 😩Safety: The electric panels are too close to water heaters & filth of panels & a real burning 🔥 issue with all electrical systems according to my husband, a life long master electrician.Noteworthy details: Unbelievable horrible treatment by the owners. Wait she will comeback with mind games & she’ll be swinging from one bipolar episode to the next consistently with something smart to say about any negative posts. But for the Gods honest truth of the matter don’t even stop! Just save yourself a night mare. 😡

I am not sure what to say. The rooms were clean. One of the beds we had needs some repairs it buckled in the middle. We did love that the sheets were colored and nor plain white. The shower head worked but didn't look like a shower head, but we were told it was so it is. The water park was full beyond the brim. But don't get any water outside the pool in the water park lest you want yelled at. Yes, my kids are rowdy especially when we were the only ones there. They are kids and they behave way better when other people are around duh. So if your kids are rowdy you will get yelled at. Now if you want recommendations to anywhere in the area the front desk lady is the nicest person ever and quite accurate. I will leave pics so you be your own judge.

Great location! Very nice, quaint, laid back, country atmosphere. Owners are nice & polite. Our room was upgraded & we were given an option of an upstairs or downstairs room.We had our grandkids, who loved the little rides out front and the play area out back. They loved getting cold Popsicles from a nice lady that works there. It was 108 degrees! The indoor pool was ok. Very dark, hot & humid, but again it was 108 outside. The hand rails to the water slides were loose & rusting apart. One of the smaller slides had screws backing out at the top of the slide. The swimming pool was very cold which was a surprise . We spent a good 2 hours inside. The boys loved it & no we weren't concerned about the condition of the hand rails or the screws. I did tell the lady that gave us the Popsicles. Will stay there again.Rooms: When we first walked into the room, it was cold. Not like the bigger fancier hotels that have their room warm. The beds were clean & comfortable. Loved that the sheets weren't white. The bathroom was clean, the TV was a little small due to the largeness of the room.

If I could give this place ZERO STARS I would. The old lady at the front desk is a B I T C H. Just avoid staying here at all costs because she will get an attitude for no reason and start yelling then call the cops and act all innocent.

Stayed there a few years ago and found stagnate water in the pool, mildew and wet dog smell in the room, clogged sink and shower, unknown strange beetle like insects near the walls, no hot water 5 minutes after turning it on, and other issues. Reported them to the front desk. They gave us another room and it was just as bad. If I could hive them zero or negative stars I would. The *only* good thing is the location.

I don’t know where to begin. Online you will find pictures of this place looking quirky and cute. 60-70 vibes with plenty of family friendly activities. I will say some pictures you find online aren’t even from this location. When we opened the door to the room the carpet was stained and there wasn’t even a deadbolt on the door. Trying to give it some grace we went to check out the “water park”. Once we opened the door we saw the pool in which the water reflected more of a pond than a pool. The “water park” looked like a quick diy you put together with scrap playground pieces from the 60s. Thankfully the electricity was out and they were gracious enough to give us our cash back to go somewhere else. We were very thankful for that! The other place was gracious enough to let us stay since we only set our things down there. They told us if we would have actually stayed at the Shamrock they unfortunately couldn’t take the risk of letting us stay with them. I hope this review saves another family from an unfortunate experience.

I was so excited to bring my child to Dimond park, I saw this place and thought this is cheap enough, and despite the reviews I decided to give it a chance, the front desk lady was super rude, prior to our arrival I had called to notify that we had two dogs accompanying us one was a regular pet no issue paying a fee however that our second dog was a Cardiac Alert service dog I was asked for proof and documentation that he was a service dog which is highly illegal and against the law, the lady knowing it’s illegal to charge any fee for a SD said there was no way around the fee, fine whatever I needed my SD so I paid the extra fee, got to our room after being verbally attacked by the front desk lady even showed her the ADA laws she didn’t care, our room was absolutely disgusting the smell was horrid, there was what seems to have been blood all over the carpet, Mold in the shower and toilet, the water park isn’t even a functioning water park and was absolutely disgusting, we got settled and around 1 am my son woke up to a bunch of bites all over him, my husband checked the bed and let alone there were bedbugs, we went to the front desk to show pictures of the bed bugs and the bites and the lady told us there wasn’t any bugs and she refused to refund us, we ended up paying for two nights, the next day I called my bank and disputed the charges and luckily with sending in pictures of the bed bugs and mold and the water from the water park and proof the receptionist charged for my SD my bank was kind enough to refund the whole thing for me. DO NOT STAY HERE!! If I could give it a 0 I would!!!

Somewhat rough around the edges, showing its age, butnd clean and comfortable. The owners are splendid, helpful people! My 3 grandsons said the bedroom and bathroom were "luxurious." Tbey had a blast in the water park, no waiting in line for 15 minutes.Rooms: Room was large and nicely decorated.Noteworthy details: The indoor water park was fun. No need for sunscreen, and the boys are already planning to come back next year.

A solid three stars in our opinion. The good-- Room was clean enough (see bad). Beds and linen were clean. Towels in bathroom were clean and plenty of them for the two of us that were in the room. Floor was clean but showed some age.-We liked the quirkyness of the hotel in general. From the ducks to the old cars and overall decor outside, we enjoyed it.-We checked out earlier (1 day instead of 3). And in accordance with the policy we were refunded day 3 with no questions. We still had to pay for 2nd day because we did not give 24 hour notice. Which we totally understand.-We had our own parking space right outside our room. Which was great.- Short drive to the Crater of Diamonds. The whole reason we were in the area.- pet friendly! The bad--A few hand prints/soil from hands on bathroom door and a few walls (probably from previous diamond hunters)- carpet had a few stains (maybe someone left their furry one unattended too long or muddy boots were worn in the room. We don’t know how the stains got here but they were present.- office door states hours 8am-4pm (if memory serves me correctly) but every time I needed to go to office “during hours” I had to ring a door bell and wait for service. Not a huge deal, but why post hours if not in the office.- I looked around the property and did not find an ice machine. I may have missed it.- check in office is right at entrance for the driveway to access the hotel. But there is no available parking. So you have to drive into the property and find a spot and walk back. Again not huge deal but if you are handicap or just don’t like walking it could be an issue.- overall could have been a higher rating. We paid $99 a night for a two queen room and paid $10 a night fee for 1 dog. Compared to a Hyatt we paid $130 a night for the exact same setup. The entire experience at the Hyatt was worth $130, where as the $110 a night at Little Shamrock was not.- Wi-Fi. The biggest complaint from us. They state it is available and give a password but we tried numerous times and could not connect in our room. We had to go outside and finally got connection. If we stepped back into room the signal was gone. I do not want to sit outside to use WiFi.UNRATED--Pool and slides. We did not use it or go into, so can’t comment.-Laundry is available so it is a plus. But again we did not use so can’t comment if it was good or bad.Final words- ( none of this effects the rating but it is more for visitors to be aware of)- the entire area is a dry county. So if you like any alcohol (including beer) better bring your own or drive @ 30 min to the closest option.- beside Crater of Diamonds there is not a ton of stuff to do in the area and since the diamond mine closes at 4 PM and most other places close at 5 PM. Be prepared to be bored or have a solid plan for things to do to keep you and yours entertained around dinner time.

What a nice little cabin experience, the cabin was quaint cozy and had all the amenities it needed to have it was also Spacey the room I was given was the only one that had a porch swing it also had the best sounding wind chimes I've ever heard in my whole life in front of it. The swimming pool was great and even though a grown-up I still went down they were fun would be a great place to take some kids and have a family vacation or a family reunionSafety: I felt very safeNoteworthy details: Wind chimes amazing large rooms cozy

This motel was perfect for us! My husband and I went to the nearby Crater of Diamonds State Park and we were traveling with two small dogs and another couple. We both got rooms and found the owner and employee(Kirbi), very nice and helpful. The rooms were a nice size, clean and had everything we needed. The room rates were low and made this motel a great value. There is some wear on the carpets and the rooms may need a little updating, but we were comfortable and will stay here again.

It was the worst stay in my life. The staff/ owners were rude from check in. They had wifi, but it never worked. We lost cell reception from the time we got in the room. The app I booked the room with said breakfast included and it wasn't provided. She said I only had 2 adults and no kids which was a lie. My price went from $99 a night to $130 a night. The pool was dirty had bugs in it. The sign said the pool opened at noon didn't open it till 1pm and had an attitude when we asked about it. If you wanted extra towels or rags you was charged more, $25 more. My toilet was tilted, I almost fell off. There was ants in the room and even a big moth and it had dirty towels folded up as if they were clean. The front desk was always locked because the lady was never in there. The place was a complete rip off. If I ever go back I will be sure to NEVER stay at this hotel ever again. One star is to high in my option. It needs to be a negative one.

Hey, I remember staying here awhile back but I just didn’t add things too the review. I came here with my father too go to the diamond place and was just here for one night. The place looked cute but I wasn’t going to judge it by first glance. the receptionist was sweet and we had no trouble with them. On to our first night. I had needed to shower to of course I did. Mold was on the shower linings and there was a terrible smell to the whole room itself. When I got out of the shower there was stains and very tore up towels. The bed was firm and very uncomfortable. As I was laying down I saw blood stains! The carpet also made my socks dirty and was just disgusting. Also the people there were crazy. One woman came up to me and my dad and was crazy. She was yelling at my dad to get her some soda and got so close to him. She even came up to his car while we were leaving to get her soda. To add, the pool/splash pad was okay. But I will add it had its cons. Dirt and mold everywhere. There was blood on the side of the pool. The splash pad wasn’t even turned on and there was no lights back there. If your going to have a splash pad please put some lights on. In all this was a terrible stay for me. I’m not a picky person nor someone who judges. But for people who are, please pick another stay.

Cons:-Front desk lady rude and very unpleasant-Room smelled really bad, like mold/mildew and something else I can’t put my finger on-Found a roach crawling on the bed within the first 15 minutes of being there-They do not serve breakfast “because of the state ban”. A flat out lie. I called other places in town and they are serving breakfast-No ice, none. He said the best we can do is, and pointed next door to the gas station, where we could buy ice- We asked for a receipt at checkout and the lady told us, we don’t do receipts. I gave you the credit card slip when you checked in-“Dog park” area unkempt and not mowed-Garbage scattered all over the property-Pool house/water park on the verge of being unsafe. One of the slides is broken off on the end so that your back hits the side of the pool when you come out. Rusty screws sticking out of the bottom of the platforms to get on the slides. Rust/corrosion on a lot of pieces. Rivets holding the slide pieces together are not flat and hurt when your elbow or ankle hits them.Pros:-The pool house/water park was actually really fun despite being quite rundown. This is really the only reason they are getting two stars from us.-They allow dogs for a reasonable rate.I would not stay here again.Beware!

I'm honestly not sure whether to give 2 or 3 stars... We had beds to sleep in, a shower, and air conditioning. Can't say the place was in good shape or that it was very clean. The sheets had felt dirty our first night so we pulled them off for the maid to put clean ones on, but they were left on the bed and just the towels "replaced." Not positive they were fresh clean ones or just refolded. Water park is definitely not okay. The water is dirty. We had another guest explain to us all the water is recycled to the pool and you can see where it comes off the roof into the pool. The slides are not at correct angles and one is broken off at the end. My son's elbow was hurt when he tried out the slides. The rest of the park was never open and there was construction equipment in between the play structures back there. So not safe even if it had been open. Our experiences with the owners gave us the impression we were a burden to deal with. Any concern we had were met with a not our problem attitude. Honestly, we would have stayed somewhere else the second night but we were afraid of still being charged for the room.
