This was a lot of fun!Very well-maintained property all the way around, pet friendly, extremely nice gift store, super friendly staff, lots of information to read, watch, and learn, they even give live demonstrations which I strongly recommend you do.Thoroughly research right there how to properly dig for diamonds because not everyone finds those gems on the surface.It’s very exciting knowing that you have the possibility to find a real diamond big or small and keep it.They rent pretty much anything you need or you can bring in your own tools.We visited during the winter months so the pool which looks very nice was closed for winter as well as the café but there is many picnic areas so you can bring food in and make it a good quality day there.The only issue that I had was one of the regular miners tried walking off with my shovel at the end of the day.

We spent a nice day here in central Arkansas. My son dug for diamonds all day. I did my rock acquisitions in the gift shop, which was really nice. Ben found no diamonds, but some nice agates and Crystal's there. The ground was plowed up making digging easy. Bring some bug spray and sun block as will make your day more comfortable there.

Lots of fun!! Take a rolling cooler with water and snacks! Moms....take a chair with you if you are not going to dig for diamonds! There's nowhere to sit!We took our own shovels and buckets. And rented a shifter from them $25, but you get $20 back when you return it.Take sunblock, hat's, sunglasses, and a change of clothes if you have little ones, THEY WILL BE FILTHY!

A fun family activity. Don't come expecting to find a diamond. Do expect to find other minerals, which the friendly staff will help you identify.The facilities are also clean and nice. There is a nice gift shop and in the warmer months there is a small water park and restaurant open.The diamond field don't have much shade so bring shade or plenty of sunscreen. We went in the fall so the temperatures were also cool. I'm not sure I'd want to go in the summer.

It's a fun time, but I feel like you need to know what your doing so be ready and look into the gear you'll need more.they do rent or let you buy the gear too. But I'm really into rock and mineral hunting and it truly is a great few hrs. Tiring hrs though, but still great. Also, it's not a guarantee that you'll find diamonds so don't go there expecting too. I found one diamond in a day of looking . There is many other minerals and gems though.

Clean and friendly atmosphere. Lots of fun digging in the dirt and mud and looking to see what could be found. Kids learned a lot about new types of rocks

I had such a fantastic time at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. I didn't find any diamonds on this trip but it was well worth the visit. If you're in Arkansas and you have the opportunity to visit the Crater of Diamonds I would strongly urge you to do so. Fantastic experience!

Fun place to just relax and get dirty! 1st time there, my daughter sits on a large boulder, pulls up a video on how to find a diamond and before the video is over, she runs her hand across the gravel at her feet and incredibly, finds a 3.72 yellow diamond!! There a whole 45 min and shes ready to leave! Lol

Our two year old had a blast digging though the dirt. He found lots of treasures which may or not may not be actual diamonds. He also slept very soundly for a long time after which was even better.

I enjoyed the experience for the most part although if you misplaced a bucket sifter they will run you through the ringer and charge you astronomical prices, what a screwed up set of rules. Won't be back

Third time here, never did find a diamond. Diamonds are found here, just be ready to dig if you really want one. I just enjoyed being here and learning. Will definitely be back and would recommend for family fun.

This is super neat! Of course you go into the park wishing to find a diamond. Leaving I was content with the quartz and crystal I found and good family time with an experience you don't get anywhere else in North America
