We enjoyed seeing the craftsmanship that goes into the making of dulcimers. I also really appreciated the hospitality of being asked to try to play a dulcimer. I'm convinced that some day when I have more time, I want to come back and buy one and learn how to play it.

What a lovely visit. The staff is wonderful and most can play a variety of instruments and will show you the basics of playing a dulcimer. Visitors can watch craftsmen make and repair the dulcimers and a variety of other stringed instruments. For those not as passionate about music they have soaps, candles, pottery and treats artfully displayed. A must-see for visitors to Mtn. View.

I ordered a capo from The Dulcimer Shoppe, then later that day, I realized I had forgotten to order an extra dulcimer case, so I placed another order. I realized I was paying too much in shipping by not having combined the order, but thought it would be a waste of time and effort to call them.Guess what? The next day I got an unsolicited Paypal notice that I was getting shipping credit for one package and they combined the order on their own. What vendor goes to that trouble on their own? Thank you, Haley, for your diligence and thoughtfulness.I am a forever customer of this shoppe because they do business the old-fashioned way! They are Fair and Honest!

Very nice place to visit even if you are not interested in buying a dulcimer. The shop is full of high quality gifts and souvenirs. We happened to be interested in buying a dulcimer. The owners were very patient and let us try all the dulcimers in stock to get the one that we liked the most. They were very helpful with tips on getting started.

The shoppe is full of beautiful and artistic McSpadden dulcimers. Tim, the owner, was a great host. Ended up with an amazingly gorgeous amazing walnut instrument to bring home. Tuned to a diatonic scale they are very easy to play

Absolutely lovely shop. When I visited in October while seeing family they allowed me to play one of their dulcimers and were very patient with teaching me even though I don’t have good shoulder mobility in one arm. My mother came in and bought one of their instruments for Christmas for me and they were very helpful to her— they even allowed me to call the next day and order a strap over the phone to send with my order! And when I needed the tracking number (my mother accidentally forgot it) and they couldnt reach me in a call, they actually texted me. Please do stop into this lovely shop— and don’t be afraid to ask questions and order online! I will enjoy my piece of the South in Washington when my dulcimer arrives.EDIT: she’s here and everything I ever dreamed of!

Such a cute little local shop! If you like music, stop by here. They make dulcimers here and also have a few other folksy string type instruments (I don't remember what they were called). The shop owner was playing a dulcimer and it was so pretty. He even offered to teach us the basics for fun - we had to pass but we'll be back sometime. Definitely a fun, quick (or long) stop.

This shop/production facility is a great place to visit. The gift items are unique and well priced. Watching them make dulcimers and other instruments was very interesting. One artisan played several of the instruments for us. The music was awesome. I'm looking forward to going back.

This shoppe is AMAZING! The Craftsmen are AMAZING! Decades, 50+ I believe. The staff greeted us and gave me a 20 minute lesson on how to play the Dulcimer, it was really interesting! They offer multiple levels of detail on the handcrafted Dulcimers, but all are made with the same sound quality. I'm guessing their selection of Dulcimer performances CDs is likely one of the largest offered anywhere in the USA.They have a nice assortment of other things to buy as well: enamel dishes, wind chimes, tea towels, old fashioned candies, and more, everything is top quality.

We have 11 McSpadden dulcimers in our home and everyone is played by my husband. We purchased our first dulcimer in 2009 shortly after moving to our beautiful state, Arkansas. Beautiful craftsmanship, beautiful sound, wonderful folks always ready to help. We highly recommend McSpadden dulcimers and The Dulcimer Shoppe.

We had fun learning about dulcimers and how to play the various types here! They were nice and informative workers and you could see where they make them behind a glass window in the shop. There were some neat souvenirs and things there too. All in all we enjoyed our visit.

Excellent place, just walked in to browse a bit, found some mango pineapple habanero salsa that was absolutely amazing. Lots of amazing trinkets inside that I would have bought had my wife not been telling me no. Excellent staff, they are doing a wonderful job.

This place is amazing! The instruments are made at the shop and they look and sound amazing! When we went there we didn't buy any of the Dulcimers, but we got some Keychain, earrings, and small wooden instruments that were really nice and well made! Not only is the merchandise there fantastic, but the place feels calming and has really kind and helpful workers. I would completely recommend going here!

This shop has a work area where you can watch a dulcimer being made. It has old fashion candy sticks. Homemade jams and jellies. A great place to bring your guest to shop for suvaneirs! I absolutely recommend this shop! I love it!

Great place for gift or souvenir shopping. In addition to Dulcimers, there was beautiful pottery, activities to keep kids entertained on a trip without needing batteries and home decorations. We especially liked the window into the workshop and getting to hear a sample of Dulcimer playing!

Dulcimers was such an awesome place to stop at. Our kids had to use the restroom and they were very nice people, made us feel very welcome and at home! They played our family some good old tunes on the dulcimer and it was just a great experience!! Highly recommend stop in and visit!!

We first found this place when we were on vacation in Mountain View,AR. I love that they make the instruments on premises. They also sale and do repairs there. Every time we go back to that town we must visit.
