I've noticed the checkout experience can sometimes be a bit impersonal, with cashiers using their phones or chatting with colleagues, and sometimes being a bit rude. While it would be nice to have a more personal experience, at least the store is typically open when I need to make a quick purchase. The selection here tends to be on the pricier side, though, so I usually only visit for specific items I can't find elsewhere locally. I've seen several instances of people parking in the fire lane, which can be frustrating, especially for those (like me) who use disabled parking when I can and notice the people parking illegally are generally able-bodied.

I shop here cause its close to home, never have a problem with the staff even on the weekends. Yes they are a bit pricey on some items but that what you get in a small town. Whatever is priced too high I go to Walmart to get not a big deal. The girls in the bakery always help my kids get a cookie never had a problem with them when the girls in the bakery are busy that’s only teaching my kids patience and that they will help when they can. As a cook I always look at the expiration date nature of habit.

This little grocery store was so clean! All the shelves were faced perfectly and the floors were so shiny. Not the best source if you have food allergies but we didn’t expect much in that department. Overall one of the best small town markets we’ve ever seen.

Produce and meat prices are not good at all compared to other local stores. I will drive 6 miles further to go to Harp's in Calico Rock because MUCH better prices and produce is way better

This is an older store so I think it would look really nice if they could upgrade and update.besides that it's the definition of small town service.there is rarely a line when you go to check out and the cashiers are polite and get you checked out quickly.its easy to find employees if you need help or have questions.the store is also very clean.its common for me to see someone sweeping while I'm shopping.its even easy to park and you have an easy time finding good parking spaces no matter how busy they are.All in all great small town service the only problem I can see is cosmetic issues.

Very nice local grocery store with the best meat department in three counties around here. Hometown has the highest quality and locally raised beef available. The produce department is always well stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, and a good selection. Every department has many national and in house brands from which to choose. Very large refrigerated and frozen sections with many choices. The store personnel are friendly and ready to assist in locating anything one may need. Reasonable prices; the next nearest grocery store is at least an hour away.

Not a large selection outside of big brand stuff, and requesting anything is useless. However, they mostly make up for it with the incredibly nice staff, and the deli. The deli makes daily different kinds of easy to bake and serve dinners that are outstanding (try the Hobo or The John Wayne).

Workers were friendly and helpful.and a young man took my stuff to truck.I thank God he did I was short of breath due to bronchitis. Hopefully I will get to see him again and thank him. I hope he knows how much his kindness meant.

The only thing it has going for it is convenience for people nearby, with prices to reflect it. If you're buying more than a few things, it's worth the gas to go to Kroger or Walmart. I put off all but a handful of purchases after already stopping there because it was so high.

Ok store happy i work out of town store is ok price a little high and the service is ok a best told them when checking out something was on sale and then told guess not anymore and they did not even take time to walk back to take it down just gave me change and turnd around back to BS with co worker happen I dont have to do main amount of my food shopping at this place. But good for last min things but not much to chose from in town.

Amazing meat cuts and great atmosphere. Some guy named David was very knowledgeable. I checked out and a cashier named Tara was so friendly and patient with the experience.

I have had nothing but excellent service. Everyone that is associated with Hometown market in Melbourne arw as sweet as can be. Never had a bad experience at this store. I recommend everyone try it. You wont be disappointed.

I've shopped here my whole life. Never had an issue until an employee for the deli began working there. She is very rude and hateful. Never smiles and always looks mean and unfriendly.

I frequently shop here to get my groceries because I don't like to deal with the hugeness of Walmart when all I need is basics and I don't want to deal with the crowds I come here because it's always quiet simple and friendly and their prices are great
