I can not even begin to express the true disappointment I have from this shelter. I want to preface this review by saying that I am no novice when it comes to animals, working with them, exotics, or shelter work. I made this review with a heavy heart because I thoroughly respect the hard work shelters put in to save and find homes for animals not so fortunate- but this shelter did not hit the mark.On pick up we noticed our 2 kittens had a gnarly cough which they did not inform us about without me bringing it up and asking. I was told they had a cold and that it should clear up between 1-2 weeks. This alone was highly concerning because by no means should they be adopting out sick animals especially on top of the fact that these kittens had JUST been spayed/neutered. I had also inquired about why the kittens bellies were so distended and was told "it's just full kitten belly". With this in mind we were told these kittens received flea and dewormer treatments. In the car we found fleas on the kittens, a LARGE sore on one of the kittens back legs that we were not informed of, and later on we were informed by our vet that they had worms (hence the distended bellies- also had loose stool). One of the kittens were worse off than the other on pick up and we were told that they are fine and just needed to recover.After round the clock care, buying a humidifier, sleepless nights, medications, and caring for sick kittens with no improvement we took them to the vet. We were informed that they had an upper respiratory infection and pneumonia. Our weaker kitten did not pull through and we ended up losing her by no negligence of our own. When I tell you I spared no expense and poured my whole heart and soul into them I'm not exaggerating. All of my animals are indoors, fully vetted, and up to date on all vet care. I fully put blame on this shelter for the loss of one our family members. For not being honest and for being so disingenuous. For adopting out sick kittens with compromised immune systems from an upper respiratory infection, worms, fleas, and being spayed/neutered. I want to warn others to choose carefully what shelter they adopt from and I hope that my experience can help others avoid the same outcome we faced. Had I known they had an upper respiratory infection I'd of gotten them to a vet that day to get antibiotics but I was misinformed, lied to, and did NOT receive what I was promised (such as worming/flea treatment). Be careful who you support and be aware that you may not receive the care you were told you did from this shelter and that you may receive a sick animal not ready to be adopted out. I am truly glad that it was us who received these kittens and not someone less experienced who may not of been able to handle the care they needed. My biggest regret is not researching better shelters and I will take on that fault as my own. My other kitten is fighting very hard to battle his pneumonia and I will be right by his side fighting because he is all that we have left of our baby. For the neglectful people who run this shelter I hope that you're ashamed of the disservice you committed on us and our babies and I hope that others receive better treatment and care than we did.Tldr:Were given sick kittens, had to ask why they were coughing, was not told they had an upper respiratory infection, they downplayed the severity of there condition, found fleas on them and large sore we were not informed of, was told there distended bellies were just "kitten bellies" when in reality they had worms, was told they received dewormer and flea treatment, lost one of our kittens to pneumonia and the other is fighting pneumonia.

After about 2 weeks of getting the run around my family of 5 humans and 5 dogs were denied adoption. They claimed "Shorty" didn't "chose us." According to the picture list below she seemed very content with us and happy. They decided to go with someone who was already associated with their organization.They said she was 2yrs old but more like 6yrs old, said she is a mix breed but she is clearly full bred beagle as she looks just like our beagle. Their actions exhibited that they were trying to get us to back out but we wanted her even more and we were still denied.They never answer their main number listed on google or return phone calls. I've never been denied to adopt a dog before or had an experience of this magnitude.

I love taking my dog to this park to play with his puppy dog friends. They have a bit of shade, water access for rinsing a dirty dog or providing water, and several picnic tables. My only complaint is it floods badly after it rains.

My son and i are volunteering for school credit.Very nice people.Had fun taking the dogs out so they could play.Will be doing 3 hours a week.

Clean and nice place to visit cats. I saw Dog area & it was clean and didn't smell. I only visited the cat area but I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to adopt a fur baby into your family. Staff was helpful in their expertise and just really nice. They let me give the cats treats.

Amazing staff, and best of all, it’s a no kill shelter! The members really do care for the animals and that’s what is truly amazing :)Thanks to them I have found myself a long time best friend who is already house trained, and she is amazing! On top of all that, it was only $80. That included all of her shots and being fixed. I believe in the saying adopt don’t shop, because I feel like a whole lot better knowing I helped a dog in need of a home. If anyone is looking for an amazing companion, definitely come here!

Really disappointing experience trying to adopt a cat from then. Emailed initially asking if the cat i was interested in would work with other animals, I didn't want to fall in love with an animal that wouldn't be a good fit. Received a very curt, rude response to fill out the application. Sure, did that. It took multiple attempts over THREE weeks to get a response back. Needless to say, that animal was no longer available. It seems there is no real customer service to potential adopters and no real drive to adopt out their animals into loving homes. Very disappointed and will be adopting from elsewhere.

Unprofessional, ignorant to animal species (didn't know the difference between inside and outside dogs), and obviously aren't worried about adopting these animals. Filled out app on Friday, said they'd call me in a week. I didn't hear anything for a week, so I called them only to hear that my adoption was denied because I was going to keep a herding dog as an outside dog. They didn't even bother to call me to let me know I was denied, no follow-up, nothing.All they had to do was call my veterinarian (which they had all the info) to find out how well we take care of our dogs. I hope the precious dog we were trying to adopt finds ahome.

Honestly I hate to give this review to the entire establishment but I feel it is warranted because of how one employee whose Name is Hazel Milligan, treated my friend and I who are wanting to adopt a cat. Not that it should matter but we are both males. I helped my friend fill out his application to adopt. He is retired and works a part time retail job. Home most of the time and really wants a cat to love. This lady did more than just screen him with an application. She asked to speak with his boss at work and list 3 other references. After that she wanted to know if he was a criminal which he is not. Then after all this she wanted to know how much money he had since he didnt work full time, would he be able to afford vet care. The fact that this lady asked to look at personal bank information is completely inappropriate. And too suggest someone who is retired, but works a part time job cant afford to care for a cat is really really insulting. I was just sure she would want a dna and drug test as well. When it was all said and done she refused to allow someone to pay to adopt a cat that is being kept in a cage. We are good honest hard working people. We dont deserve to be treated this way. It is just horrible. Dont adopt from here. There are too many cats out there that need a home.

I was not at this place, I was next door. Your accuracy needs to be improved. I was able to observe the park from my location and seen two individuals on different days interacting with a couple of the dogs at said location.

My Dad surrendered a cat he found in his garage. I called to check on the cat and spoke with the MANAGER of the facility. Hands down....the ABSOLUTE MOST RUDE manager I have ever delt with. He stated that my story didnt match with my dads and also informed me that my Dad was was not polite at all to him. I, in turn, told him that there is no way my Dad was that hateful because he is a very nice man. No hes not perfect but he does care for animals and their well being. He then asked me if I was with my Dad and how in fact did I know for sure he was not rude?! He stated it would be helpful if people wanted to drop their own cats off that it would be helpful if they actually gave out information. I asked this man how my Dad could have done this when he didnt know the cat?! I was simply trying to be a good samaritan and see how the cat was doing. The cat sounded like he couldnt meow and I was concerned. On the other hand, I do understand that people dump animals all the time but this was not the case. I normally would never go and write a review like this but I was deeply disturbed and absolutely infuriated that I would be treated this way for just checking on an animal. Hopefully he treats these animals better than humans.

great place to take your pet to play and socialize with other dogs. their is a station with poop bag, it ashame that aome pet owner still refuse to clean up after their dog.the facility is really nice

I loved that this dog park was not crowded and if you are looking to adopt a pet, you can just walk over there and look at the animals after the dog park.
