I adopted my Ziva from Marion Animal Shelter years ago. They were wonderful and let me see her multiple days before deciding. They made the paperwork process easy and answered any questions. She had to be fixed before I took her and this was completed in a short amount of time. I highly recommend them. Ziva is the best dog I have every owned. Thank you for letting me give her a home.

chief Gary Kelly donated sweetie to me as a working service dog and my companion. She passed away 6 weeks ago from natural causes now I'm about to adopt another American pit bull hopefully today. Gary has known me since i was 12 and now I'm 56 and Gary was my friend. Gary's passing broke a lot of peoples hearts of those of us that knew him. i lost him then i lost sweetie and I'm trying to keep my head on straight thru all this death.I'm a defender and champion of the American pit bull and Staffordshire and that's all i have known since i was a teen growing up in Marion and my hounds stay with me 24/7. please all of you you can buy your animal health insurance for around 35.00 a month. the insurance will pay 90% of the vet bill and go to dogster.com.......peace and love, Stephen Patterson

Marion City animal control is great . I got my dolly girl from here n it was a blessing she is such a great fur baby .. Please if ur looking for a great pet look here first or better yet please stop by n see the babies for urself u will not be disappointed.. The staff is great n friendly n answers question about the animals .. It's a very clean environment . thanks for everything marion city animal shelter.

Extremely clean. Well organized. Run by Becky Blundell who does everything she can to get these animals adopted or rescued. Becky takes pride in her job takes it serious and it shows. This shelter is not a sad place to go. Take the animals outside in their large yard and throw a ball or frisbee. Play with the cat's or kittens. Their cages and kennels are kept clean. When I get upset I go there and it always cheers me up.

It’s not about the dogs or cats it’s all about the money they drive around Marion picking up your pets just so they can charge you a fee, it’s more like thief of property and then they’ll sell it back to you
