The manager is great and the staff! But the room I had was hot garbage! The room smelled musty! The ceiling look awful, the paint on the walls was disgusting looking! The bathroom was horrific! The bathroom looked so dirty and nasty that me and my spouse did not even shower or bath in the bathroom. The bed was horrible! The bed sheets were dirt cheap, the fitted sheet in the bed kept coming off the bed just by sitting on the be🤦The furniture in the room was old and cracked really bad! The room over all looked nasty and very unclean! The curtains even had holes in the them throughout!

Well we stopped on a long trip needed to rest. Seen the sign vacancy. 108.00 room 202. The carpet was grosly stailed, the curtains were not working on the balcony, toilet was dirty, it looked like some type of drink was spilled on the room cooler and not cleaned up. First thing we did was check for bed bugs. The floor was so dirty we wore our shoes to the edge of the bed and put then on before we stepped on the floor. Refrigerator didn't work tv remote would not work. But there was a plus it had a padded toilet seat! So I told the wife it was a queen deluxe for that reason. I about got shot. Hope they use the 108.00 to at least shampoo the carpet.

Place is a dump. Poor management owner is money hungry for himself. No $ is put in to bettering the motel, rooms smell like mold and bodily fluids probably from the stained bed protectors and nasty carpeting. Housekeeping hardly has anything nice to work with bare minimum supplies including old vacuums.Way overpriced for a rundown place. Stay elsewhere and pay a little more for better sanitary rest 👍🏼

The internet price is only half of what we were charged. Our bill was over $125. There are train tracks behind the motel about 100 yards,away. At least 9 trains went by during the night. The rooms need to be updated: Old furniture with scrapes and spring mattress. The smoke alarm was laying in the window sill with no batteries. I would not recommend this place. Go somewhere else.

This place is great. Brought my 2 granddaughters to get away for a couple days.The top floor has balconies where you can sit and listen to and watch spring river flow. So very peaceful. The hospitality of the lady at the front desk is not like any you find these days. Reminded me of when i was younger how people used to be.I would definitely recommend this place and i will defintly be back.Rooms: Rooms are nice.Nearby activities: Mammoth Springs right up the road.

Not really a great place to spend the night at. I stayed around last year in the summer time, their ACs don't work and most of the rooms smells like mold they have to air out the rooms before you can go in. The cleaning crew doesn't do a good job the main cleaning lady let's one of her workers go swimming in the pool while she does some of the cleaning they don't keep up with towels so they shouldn't be charging as much they should because the place is a dump.

Had a great time. They are remodeling an older motel that has great potential. It is the perfect location while visiting the area. Our room was clean with no complaints. Management was friendly and staff was accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. We loved it so much we ended up staying a week.

Way overpriced. The only pet friendly rooms are smoking rooms, so if you're a non-smoker, you & your pet are overwhelmed with the stench of of the previous residents & if you're allergic, find somewhere else to stay. Bed is so hard & covered in plastic so you hear it crinkle every time you move trying to get comfy. No ice machine. No laundry. No breakfast. But priced like a nice motel that does. You'll hear the train pass by every 1/2 hr or so.

Admittedly, this is a small operation. It's an older motel. Decor is severely dated, but I rolled in there at 2a.m. way WAY over tired. The girl that checked us in was super helpful. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom did its job. Very reasonable rate, (and at this point, I'd of paid $100 to sleep in a piano box for six hours). Very happy with the place. Would recommend to any road weary traveler.

Motel was older but room was clean and bed was comfortable. The shower head could be replaced and room had some peeling paint. The noise from the train kept me awake. I only needed to stay 1 night.All in all, the stay was good and the scenery was nice. All the employees I had contact with were very nice.

Upon check in, they couldn't find my reservation but after checking again did. There are several no refund signs on the door, which is a turn off. The room was "clean" vacuumed, wiped down, new bedding. However there were walls patched and not repainted and the carpets were very stained. The view of the river is nice and the people that worked there were nice enough. Id stop at "the room does the job if youre not too picky" HOWEVER I just checked into a hotel 15 miles away, the village in at hardy. The same price (which both seemed to have a price that was advertised as includes tax but then added tax again, but oh well). There are NO carpet stains, granite vanity in the bathroom and way more up to date. For the same price, Id say the Riverview Trout Hotel needs to update and refresh to compete. Road and trains are loud there too, not something they can change but its worth noting for other guests

Tolerable but barely. Room was run down, price was high. Not a lot of options in Mammoth Springs. Nice view of the river and trains behind the place and the Rivers Edge restaurant is not far, we have eaten there many times and really like it. Need to lower the price or make the place nicer.

DO NOT STAY HERE!This place was just gross. Opened the door to a smoky, mildewy smell. Door had no lock except for the knob. The beds were old springy mattress and there were “stains” on the headboard. Stayed in February, no blankets.The bathroom… oh lord. No soap. No plastic cups, the towels were cheap, dingy brown. The housekeeping person forgot to clean the bathroom floor or maybe doesn’t have the necessary supplies. Pee & ? All over the floor. Shower curtain was thin & torn off the hooks. The towel rack was missing from the wall.This place needs a major revamp.We had a pet & this was the only place to stay. Next time we will stay in West Plains.

We are always entertained before we even check in; variety of guests from various places. The carpet has been replaced, it is great. The rooms were upgraded from our last stay. I liked the coffee they provide too! Our daughter request room 221 - seems to be her favorite view. We are repeat customers, will go back soon for another fishing weekend

One time was great, the next not so great. The 2nd time our room didn't have a mini fridge. When I asked the front desk she was rude about it. Then our toilet wouldn't flush and overflowed poop onto the floor. The had to go to the store to buy a plunger so it stayed nasty for over an hour. Then WE had to fix it and clean it all up ourselves.. I have killed spiders in the bed with me at night in the room.. they do however have a pretty good pool and a good view..

These werebthe worst rooms we have ever stayed in the carpet was a disaster the curtains were Falling off the rods and walls. Looked like they came made the bed and called it goodbye. This would be a look before you stay.Noteworthy details: Update your pictures on the web site and clean a d repair the rooms

The people were very friendly and provided a very pleasant atmosphere! The view was absolutely wonderful to wake up to. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone! Clean spacious rooms! Was very pleased. Nothing like the negative reviews say! If you ever need a place to stay while in the area give them a try! The price and view are hard to beat!

The heater didn't work , The shower head was stopped up with lime . The entrance door didn't offer security the bathroom door was dirty & the bed wobbled / wasn't on a stable base. I would only suggest if nothing else avalible . If you enjoy the noise of a train about every 30 min get a room facing the river. The condition reflects on the hotels ownership meaning a total disregard for its customers . Better management is needed . Owners should be more considerate of its paying customers. It beats sleeping in your car . Many improvements needed .

My husband, kids, and I decided on a spur of the moment weekend getaway so we drove an hour and a half up to the river. We stayed at the Riverview Hotel. Great place! It's an older hotel. But great for the price! 65$ for a double queen room. It has double sliding doors to walk out to a wooden deck to see the river if u get upstairs you have your own personal balcony! It's not your luxury kind of hotel but is super clean! Beds are clean, bathroom is clean, and pool was clean. I gave it 4 stars because it was so clean, the staff is so nice treat u like family, and for the price it's a winner. The only complaint I had was the small older TV. they need to put bigger and flat screen. They do have cable. The air is cold! Don't expect a holiday inn but it's a great place

Very comfy like being on vacation at home. Views are nice and things are nearby if needed and they have great commodity in the office. It's such a great stay.only problem I had with it, was the pool. I wanted to go swimming and I felt my vacation was ruined cause it was very dirty and cloudy. Not very swimmable at all. That was so upsetting cause I was looking forward to it. And couldn't swim.

No one is gonna talk about how they had a phone that played the Halloween organ song, when you pick it up at the front desk. We didn’t see anyone at the desk when we walked in. There was no bell or anything to notify the reception that we were there. So we picked up the phone and it played that song every time. Then the lady comes from the back saying hang up. This was at like 2am too. I’m not mad, it was funny though. 2 stars go to the dirty diapers under the bed.

Super friendly staff and easy to work with. Priced affordably. Great view of the river, especially from top floor rooms. Also has a deck from parking lot. Just know what you’re getting...this is a hotel in processing of updating. Our room was not updated yet, and it was very squarely a nostalgic trip back to the 80’s lol. But for us, in our particular room, it was a nice stay and conditions were acceptable. Staff was great.

I would go out of my way to come here again.The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating, their pricing was up front (they quoted the actual price, not the price without taxes and fees and surcharges) and quite reasonable, and they were pet friendly!Plus being right next to a state park was pretty handy.

Awesome awesome awesome! We loved staying here. This motel has a very vintage feel that we truly enjoyed - a lot of original flair. They allow pets with no additional pet fees. This made us very happy because we love taking our 2 fur babies with us everywhere we go! This motel has the best view of the river if you're looking for something beautiful to wake up to in the morning. I reccommend getting a room on the second floor so you can enjoy your coffee on the balcony overlooking the river like we did each morning we were there. The staff was very hospitable and gave us everything we needed - super friendly. They make you feel truly valued as a guest. Microwave and coffee pot included in the room. No refrigerator. The TV had an exceptional amount of channels, which was nice for night time relaxation. I highly reccommend! When we come back in town, this is the only place we will stay. 😊

I was on a motorcycle trip and was looking for a reasonable place for one night. I made a reservation over the phone. The person with whom I spoke to over the phone, as well as the person who checked me in were very friendly. The room was relatively small. The air conditioning unit worked but the temperature control selector went from 64 to 71 with nothing in between. The TV did not work. The wireless signal was so weak that I could not connect. The coffee pot had not been used for so long that there were tiny dead bugs in the pot. The motel is adjacent to a rail line with a fair amount of train traffic. I paid $70 including tax. There are restaurants fairly close by.
