This is a fantastic State Park for several reasons. It's a great place to relax and soak up the beautiful scenery. There are a mix of very accessible and unique features. You can take a stroll around the lake, see the springs, the dam, and the gorgeous color of the spring. You can also visit the no longer running hydro power plant within the park, where they have educational displays, and preserved equipment.Parking is ample, fishing seems available, especially just below the dam where multiple people were fishing when I visited, and there's of course a small gift and information shop.I have to say, when I decided to visit the park as part of my quest to visit all 52 state parks (52 Club) I had no idea that I was visiting one of the biggest natural springs in the world. This was a great park to visit and is very accessible.Restrooms: There are public restrooms in the park.Picnic area: There are multiple picnic tables in the area by the lake.

What a great place to visit! We attended the 2024 total eclipse here and they were amazing. Well organized to park and set up. So many things to do while we waited for the eclipse to begin. The facilities were well maintained, rangers were super friendly and helpful. If you are in the area, bring a picnic and enjoy the park. Walk around the lake. Visit the fishery and aquarium. Lots of things to do with kids.

Beautiful little state park! There's so much wildlife to see if you take the walk around the water. Dozens of species of birds. Plus muskrat, turtles, frogs and water snakes! I spent so much time just standing and looking, listening. Thought this was going to be a quick stop but it turned out I wanted to stay all day.Plenty see and do here, plus bathrooms and a cute gift shop. Pack a lunch and take time to enjoy it.

Lovely lovely spot. We specifically wanted to be at a playground for kids. It's a little hard to spot from the parking lot at the welcome center. It's on the other side of the water, you can make out a tan pavilion and if kids are on the swings you can see them. Very pretty place for a picnic

It's such a beautiful place! I stop here when I am traveling to get out and stretch my legs and take my dog for a walk. It is pretty cold in the winter, but it doesn't take away from all the beauty; it just adds a different element. Stunning, natural beauty!

Cool spot to stretch your legs and have some luck when passing through. I didn't see a mammoth but there was an extremely large, beautiful spring. There's a welcome center to explore, a playground, waterfalls, a trail around the entire thing that's just under a mile, many picnic tables, and a cannon. It's a leashed-dog friendly trail.Dog-friendliness: Must be on a leash

Pictures do not do it justice! The power in the falls is worthy of seeing in person! The grounds are well kept and the visitor center is very nice also. We talked to some of the employees and they were a wealth of information and friendly also! Allow for at least an hr. here if not longer! The walking trail around the lake is easy going and not challenging for most. There is a play ground and lots of wildlife to view!

My husband and I dropped in at the Mammoth Springs State Park on our way to Hardy Arkansas for the eclipse last week! It was such a beautiful park! Spring itself is a wonder! Nine million gallons of water flow from it hourly! It's one of the largest springs in the world. It is located on a 10 acre piece of land in the Ozarks. Definitely worth checking out! We had a lovely walk and enjoyed the history there.

Revisited this park today, walked around the spring, checked out the dam and gift shop. Such a pleasant place, blue green waters, waterfowl, clean grounds. Worth a visit for sure, especially nice for a picnic and playing in the water where it meets the river.

We went here for the eclipse on April 8th. The staff at the park were amazing! They had a great plan to manage traffic, and they turned what could have been a traffic nightmare into an awesome experience. They were all super friendly and on top of everything. Great job to the staff at this neat park!

I seen this place traveling to south Dakota. When I seen it I new I had to get a closer look. It was absolutely beautiful. I stayed for about 45 min taking it all in. This is a place you can most definitely get some relaxation and great place to meditate or just completely clear your mind. I will definitely visit here again. Loved it.

It's small but very cool. The history and the engineering of hydroelectric power is pretty cool. The staff were super pleased and helpful. It's a beautiful area that deserves your attention.

It's absolutely beautiful here. The only complaint but biggest one I have is the fence moves. If you push the bottom to check the fence it moves a child could easily fit through and get hurt over by the waterfall.

I always like stopping by here on my way through this little town. It's such a neat little place. You can stand at the bottom of the dam by the water, and it's about 10 degrees cooler because of the water mist and the breeze. It's worth the stop.

Great place to visit free. There's a paved walking path, historic items and info, giant rocks to sit on, playground, picnic area, restrooms, the massive spring, ducks, geese, and plenty of places in the shade to enjoy it all. Be sure to check out the hatchery just behind the park. Both places have gift shops with really neat items.
