Meh, prices on stuff for the most part are on the high side. They do have pretty good sales most the time which apart from the deli is the only reason I go. Produce and meat dept are mediocre, not bad just not as good as it used to be before the remodel.

Food center is our go to grocery store. It's clean, people are friendly and kind. Help you all they can and we love Our hometown grocery store. Fresh meat and veggies/fruits. Everything is great there and I'll always love food center. 😊

Great place for grocery shopping that isn't to big to walk around in. Has a nice small selection of name brand and generic brands of items. If you're shopping for meat their butcher and prices are pretty good compared to other places in town.

Basically, the store is always neat and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The butcher is great! The produce is wonderful. The rest of the store absolutely sucks!Food Center used to be the best place to go to get groceries in Malvern. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore. They are a great place to buy fresh packaged meats (beef, chicken, pork). They've always got great prices on those items. Plus, they package them in store and if you need something packaged a certain way (ex. 12 pork loin chops) they'll just about always help you out. They also have a wonderful produce selection!The down sides of the store are pretty big things though. For starters, one of their best things used to be their pick 5. Now it's really a rip off. Everything on it is overpriced. Plus, it used to be pick 5/$19.99 and now it's pick 5/$24.99. The other items in the store (besides fresh packaged meats) are also almost all overpriced. There are occasionally items for the pantry that will be a good sale prices, but for the most part the store as a whole is overpriced. It also has a major downside of having a VERY limited selection when it comes to pantry and freezer items.I will say they have a wonderful deli. They do have very good fresh fried chicken and other hot foods available if you're looking for a meal you don't have to cook. However, it's cheaper at Wal-Mart for sure (and in my opinion better). They have a decent bakery, but again, it's extremely overpriced. You pay at least twice what you would to get the same quality from Wal-Mart.

Tanya was so helpful! I was silly and put a glass bottle right through the cart and without hesitation she helped me clean the spill and was soooo kind about it. There's also great prices, but as far as a store that has actual humans that care and are kind, come here over Walmart any day.

Hamburger meat is better quality and about 40% cheaper than Wal Mart. Most all their meats are better cuts and cheaper than what Wal Mart has to offer. They sometimes have good deals on discounted meat. I only wish I could use my insurance healthy food card there.

Small town grocery store. Nice enough staff. Some of their prices are absurd! 2 or 3 times what you will pay at Wally or Kroger. Decent selection of groceries. Offers deli and a hot box with fried foods, their fried chicken and strips are rather tasty.

Clean awesome meats!!!! The best market sausage. Looks like it's full of fat but very very lean. Freeze in portions due to no preservatives. Awesome. My mom from Dallas has taken some back with her several times or when we go down there we have to take it.

Tried and true, this place has been in business for at least forty five year's. They have competitive prices, awesome sales and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. The man named John in the meat department always went the extra mile for me and no matter what strange meat question I asked, he answered with a smile! I have been shopping there since I was a teenager. They are by far my favorite grocery store.

2022 UPDATE - STILL a great place, and now you can order online. But, you will want to go inside for the delicious deli food. Their meatloaf, the fish, YUM!It's just the perfect little big store :-) Easy to find what you need. Friendly service!

Food Center is a great local grocery store, that carries many items no longer carried by other stores. Their meat department is the best in the county. The store is kept immaculately clean compared to others, and the staff goes out of their way to accommodate customer needs. No self-check or self-bagging in this store! Check it out.

I buy most all my meats here. They are very good equality meat at lower prices than walmart. Also they have some good sales from time to time. The store is always well stocked and clean.

Food here and everywhere in Malvern is quite a bit more expensive than stores in surrounding areas. Can you poll surrounding areas and give us comparable prices so we don't feel like we have to drive out of town to purchase groceries?

Nice community grocery. Great smoked chicken in the deli. Great selection of good canned vegetables and variety of canned tomatoes. Staff will bag groceries. Nice bags, too. Paper or plastic bags. The plastic bags are strong and don’t have holes in them.

Love that they now have grocery pick-up. More personal order preparedness as well. Texted me with regard to substitutions when ordered item was unavailable, giving me a choice of replacement ideas. You can also use on-line coupons.
