I had the best adoption experience with this organization. I had been looking everywhere for my perfect cat match. They had so many cats that I fell in love with. Emily is a best she showed me everything that had every back story on any cat I had touched. She was the sweetest staff member I really felt taken care of. You can tell she takes pride in her work there. I love the cat I adopted & I will be back to donate!

I called the Humane Society because we had a male cat who was 6-8 weeks old and not neutered and we could not keep him due to having our max amount of cats allowed by our apartment complex. This facility operates solely on donations and they were willing to take him in. They were very welcoming and we are confident we placed him where he can get the best care. Petco suggested the Humane Society because they are a no-kill facility. This male cat is a light brown tabby and is very sweet to human companionship. Our hope is that he’ll be up for adoption at Petco soon.

Kaye is amazing and has a huge heart especially for all the fur babies. I watched her juggle so many things all at once and still handle the adoption of my new best friend Luca - a boy cat, in the midst of it all. And she did it gracefully. I'm grateful this place exists, and is carrying out its mission so heartfully. They really care.

Called to inquire about resources for rehoming or surrendering a pregnant animal I had found dumped, was instead lectured on how it's my own fault for not being a responsible owner. Woman asked no questions, just decided that an Holier than Thou lecture was the proper way to handle things.

The staff there were so helpful and caring! They really want these babies (pups) to find their "forever" homes. If you have any questions or concerns, ask, very knowledgeable about what should work best. Go by and check out to find your pup or kitty! ♥️♥️♥️We really love our "Rip" !!! ♥️

Very quaint place. The staff and volunteers are wonderful and really care about each animal that comes through the doors. Volunteers are always needed and welcome.

I was very pleased with my adoption of my dog. All the workers were friendly and helpful. I found just what I was looking for. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for that very special pet. This is Slinkii my dachshund mix. She is a keeper!

I can’t express how wonderful this organization is. Please contact them if you have stray/feral cats that need to be fixed. Please visit them if you are looking for a new fur baby to join your family. We brought in two stray females that showed up by our house to be spayed. They spay/neuter and give them a rabies shot for free to help keep the kitten population down. Please do your part and fix your animals, and please please please consider donating to such a wonderful organization that helps the community this way!

Best animal shelter by far the best, the staff is awesome and take pride in all their animals. They are very knowledgeable, and spend their time getting to know and working with all the animals. After I've loss my Roby still grieving over his loss thought I just can't go through another heart broken 6 wks later I've called Human Society of Garland County at the time there was 2 Chihuahua male and female from the same litter when I've arrived the staff brought out the two but when I've saw this little girl her formerly name was Frances knew in my heart she's my baby girl as soon I've got her in the car her new name is Tabitha Elizabeth Faas from that day on she'd changed my life today she's very precious little girl, lovable, calm she's such an angel to everyone don't know how my life would be without her thank you so much for letting me given her second chance in life May God bless everyone Diane Faas

I stopped in while taking a puppy to her new forever home simply to just get a bow for her to wear. They were so helpful and nice that since I was walking and there was a high chance of rain they gave her a little rain coat to wear for free. She got her picture taken for their monthly flyer.

We adopted a puppy and our experience was awesome. We filled out the application, had a phone discussion & we were approved to adopt. We went and picked up our precious pup Hogan. They were very professional and I appreciate the screening process. I felt they really care that their adoptees are placed in good homes where they will be loved & cared for.

Everything went perfect and very quick, the 3 ladies that was there were very friendly and quite pleasant, I'm very happy with my new fur baby I was lucky to have found a chihuahua there wish I had room for her Brother but I already have 2 plus her now 3 is my limit

My son and i was doing the right thing and went to the Garland Humane Society to adopt a puppy for my son. We have 2 pups already (I have 1 and my oldest has one) but he wanted one to call his own. He found one he liked and we did everything we were asked with the existing ones so that we could adopt. Spent $300 at the vet to get our existing ones up to date on shots and heartworm. To be told 5 days later that we had been declined because our pups are not fixed. We are not breeders and our pups stay inside until we leash them to go anywhere. Not sure why it matters the new puppy would be fixed before we could ever take it home. No wonder the pounds are so full. They make you jump through hoops to adopt and still get declined. I feel sorry for all the animals that had the chance to go to loving forever homes but were not allowed.

Everone there is very nice and helpful. They really truly care about the animals. They show dedication its not just a job its amazing. The animals are taken very good care of. If I had a different place I would go there for a another pet. The pets are very lucky to have them. Thank you for everything you guys do. I would not recommend. any other place. I've talked to other humane society and they were rude and not wanting to help the animals.

Their program for fixing stray cats is a huge community service for Garland County. They decide which ones they can re-home, and the others are released back to the neighborhood they were taken from. They loan out live traps if needed for this purpose. They don't charge a fee. They only ask for donations to help with costs.

Had a dog that was abandoned by it's owner. I paid over $400 in Vet bills to have her shots up to date, wormed, and antibiotics. Also had her spayed. I could not keep her and the Garland Human Society was the only No Kill Shelter that made room for her. She was adopted 3 weeks after I gave her to the Shelter.

Wonderful workers and great new facility. Adopted a very nice dog and a wonderful cat from here, and I am going back next week to adopt another dog. Love how accommodating the manager was with us. Will definitely return if I ever get any other pets!!!!

I assume hours of operation are put online for a reason, but after driving 30 minutes to adopt an animal I was welcomed by closed gates. I attempted to call 3 times and was met with a recorded message that confirmed I was within the hours of operation. If they were focused on getting these animals homes I assume they would have a better system worked out and they would be there when they said they were going to be there.

Called this morning to tell them I found a dog has a collar but no tags, I told her I couldn't keep him at my house because my dog would eat him. She straight told me not her problem. I asked her I cant just leave him in the street she said dont put that on me. And not her problem. For someone that works at a dog shelter, no compassion what so ever.

I personally, don't like to take animals to any shelter. But! If I had to, and I did just recently, take a animal to the shelter. My choice is the local Hot Springs animal shelter. They have a staff that acts as they do care about the animals. All the animals I seen there looked well taken care of. I do have to give these guys props. U guys are professional and do a good job as far as I seen. So I give u guys a 4 star. Would be 5 but I have personal reasons that forbid 5 stars to any shelter. But y'all a high 4! Good job guys.

Went to adopt a puppy and a kitten. Left with neither!! Apparently you have to have a vet that can verify you and your prior pets!!! Who said you had to be rich in order to give a pet a loving home? Heaven forbid my prior pet was possibly a goldfish!! Very disappointed and dissatisfied.
