You rarely see an employee actually working here, not even at the front desk. Shelves are frequently empty or just fake fronted (product with a tag nearby that has been placed into an empty spot so that, at a glance, the product is stocked). The lines to checkout at the store, the very rare actual human checkers, and the fact that the self checkout kiosks aren’t open for us to check out our own groceries and get out of the store versus standing in lines 10 customers deep…. The only other grocery store nearby is a Walmart a couple of miles down the road, which possibly has something to do with how this one is so portly run: where else do we go that’s not out of the way? It’s a very disheartening testament by management, a corporate indifference to people in the store.

Waited in line for at least twenty minutes which wasn’t a problem because the store was busy. My cashier was Tara. She was polite until I presented my military ID for my wine purchase. The state of Arkansas accepts driver’s licenses, passport, military IDs, etc. for age verification. But apparently Kroger doesn’t wasn’t to accept anything but a driver’s license because it’s the only thing that scans in the computer and everything else requires a key in. Very odd policy and not in line with state requirements. She slammed by bottle of wine on the register while waiting for the manager to override and then slammed my change down on the counter when I offered out my hand and then moved on to the next customer. Super rude cashier. Been in the service industry 10 years and was shocked by how rude she was.Either the managers are confused about the state’s age verification requirements or Kroger has the weirdest ID policy I’ve seen. I guess they don’t sell alcohol to anyone who is international, anyone who is the military and hasn’t gotten a state ID yet, etc??? I very much look over 21 but still presented acceptable identification to show my age. What do they do when someone in their 70’s buys alcohol? Make them scan in their ID?

Great selections of produce and take home and heat meals. Warm bar (chicken strips etc) wasn’t great and not a nice selection. Great variety of olives and cheeses. Has sushi 🍱 available near produce section. There were plenty of open self checkouts when I went today. A lot of merchandise was marked down out front outside of store. I found everything I wanted and then some. The best Kroger is Chenal Kroger 💯

This should be the "good" Kroger but it has so many problems. Their restock is subpar and shelves are constantly messy and missing items. Wait times at registers are high. Many shopping carts have damaged wheels and it's common to reject 3 or 4 carts before finding a good one. Prices are too high. Aisles are too narrow, in an effort to cram too much stuff in the store. The overall flow of walkways in the store has too many bottlenecks, and many aisles are obstructed by unnecessary extra displays. It's just not a nice place to shop, and it's hard to justify going there when Costco (an actual well-run store) is across the street.

One of my favorite Kroger! Self check counters are always super convenient! I've never had an issues when I visited the store. Vegetables and fruits section is always clean and looks great. They keep sanitizing every shelves and inside the store. Also, most employees were super friendly and helpful! I recommend this Kroger!

Good place to shop for groceries. I hope they will fix the parking lot that is full of holes for more than a year. It would not only make the trip more pleasant, but increase the life of their shopping carts that also move along the very wobbly lot:-(UPDATE: May 5, 2024. The parking lot has been resurfaced. It's so much better now. Thank you Kroger for making my shopping experience at your Chenal store much more better :-)

Why do they sell clothes if you can't try them on before buying?? I wanted to try on some jeans, but the dressing rooms were blocked again. . . . so I left.Not enough employees??Thefts?Not enough security?Then stop selling clothes.Put something else where the clothes are.... maybe home furnishings .... like lamps, decor pillows, small furniture etc.... like they had several years ago.

7/17/22: The produce department has been consistently poor of late. Notice the shriveled corn husks and dark silk indicating old corn. Fruit flies and other pests are persistent here. That indicates rotting produce. Krogers should be embarrassed.7/23/22: Impossible to not notice the swarm of fruit flies around the onions and tomatoes with clearly damaged and spoiled produce.7/30/22: Moldy tomatoes. Very easy to see if you bothered looking.8/6/22: Damaged tomatoes left for the fruit flies. Someone in Kroger produce just doesn’t care.8/13/22: Another week, another feasting of fruit flies around the onions.

It's a good place to go and shop, and they carry all the things you might want from a grocery store. It's been recently redone due to severe tornado damage, so it's pretty nice at the moment. That said, it doesn't feel like they took the opportunity to really update the store and make it more modern or make some changes that make coming in and out easier without all getting jammed up at the one double door that is for people to come and go as well as carts to be brought in. But that's not a huge deal. Otherwise, seemed fine.

favorite Kroger in central Arkansas great produce actually has people to check you out. Which is preferred whenever possible, since self checkout puts the liability on you! Anyway great store 10/10 would recommend.

At Krogers on Chenal December 14 at 10:00.Grandson had to use the restroom. Went to the family bathroom. So dirty. Floors sticky. Commode was terrible. Went to the ladies restroom hoping for cleaner conditions. Just as bad.So sad that my neighborhood Krogers is so dirty now.Worst of all. Needed to use coupons, get gift cards, and had a basketful of items. So I went to the check out line with a checker to help me.On actual checker. 5 people in line.Still waited as I had my grandson with me and did not feel comfortable with self check.When the groceries were checked there was no sacker. The teller sacked three bags. I finished paying and went to help with sacking. The teller then stopped sacking my groceries and started checking out the next person! I was afraid our groceries would get mixed up. The next customer told the teller that very thing. This teller looked disgusted and reluctantly helped me finish. I had over $350 in groceries. Went to talk to manager. The two ladies at the desk just ignored me, talking to each other. Left the store.Called Chenal store 3 times to ask for a manager as I had a grandson who needed to eat and nap, and was put on wait. Then the phone hung up all three times on me.Got on the website and asked for a corporate number. I have called twice and no one will pick up to talk to me.I hate that Krogers is treating their patrons this way. This was my store, even for pharmacy. I guess I will drive further for actual service from some one who cares and want my business.

Store shelves and produce for many weeks are constantly empty. I have never been to a kroger when the shelves are completely empty with no restock. Never seen anything like this. Costco is always stocked so end up there as this kroger is just terrible and low or empty on stock they need to do something about this.

This Kroger is conveniently located off Chenal Parkway and has Clicklist!! If you have never used Clicklist, you should. You add to your cart everything you want to buy, select a time to pick it up and drive up where they load the items in your car. It saves me so much money because I actually stick to what I need.Besides Clicklist, this Kroger has a great selection of fresh produce. You can find abstract veggies like celery root and tons of greens.Avoid last minute holiday grabs. It is a super Kroger so it has a pharmacy, home decor, toys, clothes, and more.

I came here to get some fried chicken. When I got to the counter, I noticed there was no rotisserie chicken or fried chicken displayed. When I asked the guy behind the counter about the chicken, he informed me that the cook had quit. My thoughts were there should be more than one cook employeed at this Kroger.

My only complaint is the self check card readers, 90+% of the time they give me bad chip error messages for my debit card multiple times before it finally works. Not just today but virtually every time I go to this Kroger store. In no other store including their competitors has this ever happened. Very frustrating to say the least.

Last three times I went to get sushi there was no chop sticks out. Every time I ask the sushi chef for chop sticks, he is obviously inconvenienced to get me chop sticks.

As I was approaching the door a man came up and closed it so that I could not get in. It was 6:30 pm and the sign on the door said that door closes at 8:30 pm. It was very rude and I left, theres to many other places to shop.

They are putting old products out on shelves this product was well expired it was a case of peaches that I purchased and was not in good shape when I got home so people if you shop here check your packages 📦 I’m very disappointed !

The nicest Kroger I've ever been in. Clean, well organized, and plenty of people. I feel comfortable shopping here. It has a nice retail area and a great florist.

Delightful checking myself out...no one say this, ever! What do store people do when not standing guard withe the uniform guard up front of check outs? What is the clip board used for? Scheduling checker break times? Think not, since THERE ARE NOT ANY CHECKERS AVAILABLE TO CHECK YOU OUT! Is it just a crossword or suduko on your clipboard?! Wait...too much like work or thinking...

Not a bad grocery store with good selection and competitive prices. The organization of the store though needs some serious improving. The way items are grouped together doesn’t make logical sense so it takes awhile to find. Also, whenever I shop, there are some aisles that have excessive empty boxes or is super messy. Bottom line, good prices but always feels like a chaotic shopping experience.

While this Kroger location is convenient for me, it is frustrating at times. If you don't go early in the day and you happen to need an electric cart, it can be extremely DIFFICULT to get one. I have discovered also because there's INSUFFICIENT staff, electric carts may or not be returned. And when they are returned, no one bothers to plug them in to charge for the next customer. In fact, it has become common to find dead carts throughout the store while shopping. .I politely approached Customer Service about this concern one late afternoon. She, also politely told me that the Store Manager was at the dock, unloading the truck. It's a shame that the Kroger company is unable to get and keep employees. Just like it's a shame how Kroger got rid of the Senior Citizen discount. Sure, everyone gets Fuel Points, but Kroger fails to recognize that not EVERYONE drives!

Very busy hour there is a lot of self kiosk machine installed and only 5 is open. If you are not going to use it why you install them. You have to wait to checkout for no reason. A lot of expired sale coupons at liquor section. It says 1 buy 1 get free and you checked out it is not exist. Sale expired 10 days ago. It is not right. If you are not going to run it properly close it!!!!

This store is absolutely disgusting! 🤢 Not to mention management has no desire to improve anything. The flow of the store is highly dysfunctional, and everyone is extremely rude.The store is locking doors before 8 PM and making customers go through a maze to get inside. Be sure to just avoid this store entirely.

Pretty empty this particular cold night. I was looking for Christmas colors sprinkles. No luck. There was plenty of sprinkles. I was looking for Viva paper towels. No luck. The paper towel and toilet paper section was pretty empty. Can't remember ever seeing it like this. I walked out empty handed. I forgot to take pictures.

During the day it’s not the worst. The staff at night is very rude though. If you live close by just get a Costco membership across the street and don’t try and buy groceries at night.
