Decent Kroger. I don’t like the wheel locks on the shopping carts. Also, they stopped carrying Post Wine. Don’t shop here as often because of this. Back to Walmart

I'm glad to say I won't have to return to this Kroger since I'm only on a short visit to this area. I've been a regular Kroger customer for most of my life but I've never seen such rude behavior from the self checkout and store manager as I have today. After assisting us with our purchase through age verification at the checkout, she rang up and placed the wrong item in our bag. Easy mistake that could happen to anyone. As soon as we got home and realized it, we returned to make an exchange and were told it's against store policy to allow exchanges. I guess the policy at this store is that once you leave, you have no opportunity to exchange an incorrect item even if you're only gone for 20 minutes and the item is unused and unopened. Definitely is not a Kroger policy, but specific to this store. Also escalated the matter to a manager who stood by the decision. Completely appalling!

The person running the self checkout line at 11 am on March 19th was extremely rude to my friend who was trying to make a purchase. She shouldn't be working with the public.

Went in to the deli they played around. Fix my food, stop to go put up some meat, left my food sitting on scale, then the girls said I got to go to the bathroom…. They looked straight at me and just kept on staring another lady was trying to get help with the cheese they didn’t help her either ! Wasted my lunch break!

Keoger, 99 Cents, save $1 each?It might not what you think it is!I bought 2 Pringles the other day seeing that it's on sale for only 99 cents each.I brought another two today for the same reason and found out that I actually paid $1.99 instead of 99 cents each.Yes, "read the fine print", the staff there told me when I went back trying to figure out what's going on. I realized it's not an isolated but much more broader issue at Kroger. Most customers don't really stand there read all the small letters that they intentionally did trying to cheat.I call this dishonest business practice.

Went to return an unused item within a 3 day period. The produce manager was extremely rude. Arguing consistently how it’s my fault for “storing it improperly”. Claiming she is a produce manager and knows more than I. But I am calm. After yelling, she eventually walks off angrily, throwing her hand in the air, “give them a gift card I don’t care”. At least I got my $6 back in the form of a Kroger card instead of my bank/cash…

The store is great! But I will not be returning to shop here. Nita has been insanely rude to not only me, but to every person she has a chance to be rude to. I've watched her work and she doesn't care if you're six years old or eighty years old, she's going to talk down to you. It's absolutely ridiculous that she still has a position at this store. It's so sad when no one wants to work so you have to resort to keeping people like Nita in store.

We had no problems at this Kroger. We were able to find everything we needed and did not encounter any problems. Mr. J (Jimmie) was our checker. He was extremely friendly and helpful. The young man at the deli was also very good and seemed to want to give us great service. I’ve read lots of these reviews about how bad the service is. Well remember this was and is considered an “essential business“. These people worked, wearing masks, for 8-10 hours every day during the height of the pandemic while lots of Americans sat on their butts collecting more in unemployment than these folks did in wages. And if you’re so upset about not enough people working, apply for a job. They can use your help. Cut them some slack. We should be showing more respect to these hard working people. After all without them you probably wouldn’t be able to eat.

Went to Kroger tonight looking for a whole chicken. Couldn’t find one. Asked the butcher and he said they didn’t have any. I went to go to another area of the store then decided to go back and see what chicken they DID have available. He said Ma’am, here‘s one whole chicken. I said I’m glad I wandered back this way, and he said he was glad too. ❤️ We were going to cook it rotisserie style and when we started dinner prep, my hubby said he meant to tell me to get twine to tie the legs and wings. So I went back to the same Kroger/butcher and he gave me what I needed. He was so nice and helpful. And I appreciate that so much. I’m just sorry I didn’t get his name. So, @Kroger Rodney Parham, you have some really great employees! I hope you recognize the butcher working tonight! 1/13/2022.

We have consistently arrived each Tuesday for Senior Day to find no carts and only one or two cashiers with long lines waiting to check out. The baggers are few and they are rude and don't want to be bothered. Product is stacked all over waiting to be shelved. Months ago, I was told that they would order four boxes a week for me of Comforts electrolytes. But they have a few bottles, if any each week. My life depends on these. I am tired of hassling with this store. They just don't seem to care.

Placed an order for pickup. Arrived to pick up and was told the employees who do pickup had left for the day. Showed up the next day to pick up my order. Employee couldn't find it. Also could not find a manager. Employee tried to pass off a different product instead of the one I ordered. Employee claimed the national office had to cancel the order. National office said only the store can cancel an order, and called the store to take care of it. Watch out for this store.

Do not place a pick up order. I placed a picked up at 8:00 am to be pick up by 6:00 pm. I get a call at 5:00 pm saying it’s going to take a little longer because they’re backed up from orders earlier that day. Then 3 hours go by and they call me saying could I come the next day. Then I arrive the next day and only get 3 items because they couldn’t pull my order from the day before. Poor customer service I highly recommend you just to go in the store and shop for yourself.

Got to the store around 10:45-10:50 pm, 10-15 min before they close to grab my toddler some liquid Tylenol because he had a fever. I walk up to the front holding my son and the door is locked. The rude Security guard yelled we are closed from behind the locked doors. I asked why they are closed so early and he walked off and ignored me. I saw customers inside the store. I just needed to grab one item my son desperately needed. It would have taken me maybe 2 minutes. I respect store’s closing times and never stay past closing time. But those times are there for a reason. Had I known they would close so early I could have made it to another Kroger. This location has gone downhill. Please be aware they lock the doors and close earlier than the posted closing time.

Neighbors, after shopping at our neighborhood Colony West Kroger for almost 30 years, I have finally had it.Monday around 7:30 pm, after shopping for groceries for about 45 minutes, I got to the check-out lines to find ONE cashier open. There were 10 or 12 customers waiting for her. The self-check lines were backed up too. After waiting close to 20 minutes, I was 3rd in line. The cashier, who I’ve never seen before, told me that lane 6 (the one closest to the door) was being opened. The night manager was at that register scanning some sale items. I pushed my cart down to lane 6, only to have the manager curtly tell me he wasn’t open. I told him the other cashier sent me down there. He rudely told me he wasn’t open. I’ve heard this guy be rude to employees and other customers on several occasions in the last few months.I had now given up my place in the now-longer line at the other lane. This was the final straw for me. I’ve watched this Kroger location go downhill for the last few years. I’ve put up with their broken carts, their slow check-out lanes, and they’re often out of the items I regularly buy. I told the manager he could keep my groceries and I walked out, drove to Kroger on Highway 10, bought the same items and had a much more pleasant experience in a cleaner store with usable carts. From now on, I’ll buy my weekly groceries at Highway 10. On days that I just need a couple of items, I’ll go to Edwards Food Giant. So sad that the neighborhood Kroger that was great for so many years has gone to the dogs.-Gary Sullivan

I was in town for my aunt’s 85th birthday and Deeann (I think that’s her name) was absolutely wonderful. She helped me pick out the PERFECT flowers for my aunt. I was so glad someone was working in floral to assist me. My aunt loved them!

I was there about 2 hours ago, and some of the yogurts were expired, which is why I'm only giving 4 stars. But I have to compliment Cindy, who was working the self checkout lanes. She noticed that I was about to buy yogurt, and stopped me to tell me someone had almost bought expired yogurt. We checked mine, and sure enough it was expired! Thank you Cindy for preventing me from eating bad yogurt, and also for being super sweet!

Went to Kroger just and hour ago. As I'm finished checking out an paying I ask the woman on the register if they are hiring and a rude co worker having no business along with 3 or 4 others standing around her doing nothing. This man speaks before she can even answer nodding his head "nuh uh nuh uh" rudely. Especially when there's hiring ads on indeed. Some workers there need to be replaced.

I had a complaint about an employee the other day and spoke to the store manager. Two days later that employee whose came to my job harassing me and making threats. I filed a police report. Today I went to the store to speak with the store manager. He proceeded to brush me off and I told him he was unprofessional. I walked out the door. The store manager then proceeded to rush out the other door and rush up on me less than a foot away and and harass me. I told him sir stop following me and harassing me. He then told me I was banned from the store. At this point in time I will not stop taking action against Kroger until that employee and the store manager are terminated. I was harassed by both people and threatened by the employee. This will not stand. They both need to be terminated

I'm still trying to figure out why Kroger thinks having all of these self check out lines is a good idea. There isn't enough room for everyone that is waiting to use them. I guess they like temporary walls.

They need a new store crew, there is hardly anyone ever working in the customer service department. Staff do not wear mask like they are supposed to be worn, I had to find my own basket 2x times. I am not surprised this store is nor shutdown.

Normally I have ok experiences there but today I walked in because my mom was there. I found her near, not at,check out and start talking to her. After only a few seconds a security guard came up and said I had to leave. Apparently the manager thought I was begging people for money. I had been in the store for around 60 seconds at most. When we talked to the manager about it he apologetic at all. He acted like he had done nothing wrong. I have never been so insulted.

I’m standing in there store as I type this. I been waiting at the guest service desk for 10 minutes. NO one has acknowledge me yet. There is no sign saying they are close. This is poor customer service. I even call the deli department to get help and still no one has came to assist me. There has been several employees walk by and still no one has offer to help. Kroger you got to do better.

What is going on at the Kroger on Rodney Parham?. For a long time they’ve been out of products they usually carry. This problem has gotten more frequent & with many more items. You can rarely get a butcher to help you as they are required to do doing multiple other jobs. You have to be lucky to hit the right time if you want a rotisserie chicken. Now, you can hardly get into the store because of the palettes of food in the way on most of the aisles. (Did they have a mass walk out of staff?) Food items are knocked over from the shelves & the store itself is filthy. God forbid you need a cart on a busy day. This is our neighborhood store, such a disappointment. I’ll be driving out to Cantrell to avoid this mess. I would give it less than one star if I could.

Can you give zero stars? Shelves half empty most days and it smells like soured, putrid milk every time you walk through the front door!! No idea how this store stays operational.

The Colonial West use to be my favorite location. However, lately they have been out of all kinds of items. Ad items and non-ad items alike seem to be in short supply. Tonight I walked in for a couple of Rotisserie chickens. Sure enough at 4:45 they were completely out. I waited around the store for about 15 minutes because the deli clerk stated he had a few that might be ready soon.I only went in for that item and felt silly waiting around the deli. I did leave with a couple of birds. Maybe they should bring back the always ready guarantee. Not sure how to fix the problem but I almost left and went to Walmart.

I have been shopping at this kroger for a few years now, it's not really too bad, But my biggest gripe, they are low on stock, and this was even before the pandemic, they always low on baskets and carts, and it has been several time I've bought molded bread. Update: this place is getting wore they never have baskets, you maybe luck to find carts, and this is from the time they open until they close, sometimes people don't need a big cart, but a small baskets to pick up a few things. This is the only kroger I seen with this problem, can we have some baskets is that hard to ask for?🤷🏽‍♂️

My 5 year old daughter and I were waiting at Guest Services so that I could purchase a Money Gram. I waited for about 5 minutes before asking the security guard at the front door Guest Services was open. She stated that Guest Services was open and that someone should be with me soon.I waited another 5 minutes before walking into a small office where I saw a group of employees standing/sitting around talking; including Assistant Store Manager Chris P. When I asked if there was anyone who could assist me at Guest Services, I was told that the employee who was working Guest Services would be "right there".I went back to Guest Services and waited, almost, another 10 minutes, along with another customer, for the employee to show up. The customer in line with me stated his frustrations before me because at least 2 or 3 employees came to ask if someone had been by to help us as we were still waiting to which we told them all "no".Finally, I see 2 women walking towards Guest Services. Neither of them acknowledged me other the other customer though they went right to an aisle right in front of Guest Services to stand and talk. I said: "Excuse me, ladies." No one acknowledged me. I had to say that same line 2 more times before being acknowledged. Finally, GiGi - the employee we had been waiting on unbeknownst to me - turned around towards me and said "Yes". I asked her: "Is there anyone that is going to come to Guest Services to assist us?" She responded: "That's me." Then, she went back to doing what she was doing. I responded to her: "We have been waiting here for awhile now." GiGi's response back to me was: "I know." She walked around the counter, finally, and asked me what I needed. After the transaction, I was not thanked nor was there an apology for the wait or the attitude. So, I decided to speak with the manager on duty feeling that may suffice in the situation. I couldn't have been more wrong!Chris P. came over to Guest Services after I asked GiGi to contact him. When I explained to him what happened, GiGi looked at me, burst out in laughter, rolled her eyes and walked away. I asked Chris: "Are you just going to allow her to continue to treat me this way?" He did not respond yet only exasperated and threw his hands up as he shrugged his shoulders. I cannot explain how stunned I was at his response, in general, but especially as a manager. I replied: "Are you really going to allow your employee at "Guest Services" to treat your guests like this, laugh in both of our face as if you are not even her supervisor, and walk off without even so much as attempting to stop her?" Again, Chris shook his head and threw his hands up as he shrugged and stated very unsympathetically and sarcastically: "I'll talk to her later. Sorry." I looked at him in amazement and stated to my 5 year old daughter: "Let's go. We won't be coming back to this store." Chris stormed away from me as he felt I was holding him up from what he "had to do" anyway. On my way out of the store, GiGi yelled at me: "YOU HAVE A NICE DAY!!" very nastily!I have never...!!! I have no words, honestly. I am beyond infuriated and disgusted at what me and my child experienced in your store today by your employees and your manager. I was unable to speak with Brent Harper who is the store manager. I will definitely not be shopping at this establishment anymore as they explicitly condone this type of behavior and disrespect.

Have shopped here for 20 years. Disappointed with the current appearance of this Kroger. The entry way floor is dirty and worn. Trash on the floor. Also, seems like the store runs out of items and takes awhile to restock. This was a wonderful place to shop when it was first remodeled. Too bad The store is wearing out.

If you come at the right times, Kroger on Rodney Parham is great. They do listen to you and will help you and make returns with no problems. My only downside is there are NEVER enough open checkout aisles, my last 8 visits there have been max 3, usually 2. With looong lines. They want us to all use the self checkout but the lines for that get so long, and there is nowhere for the line to go, so we are all bunched up blocking the aisle. Please open up one or two more of your checkout counters!
