So far we only use their grooming. We are most likely making a switch very soon. The staff there are amazing and very friendly. After being banned from 4 major grooming salons, we had to turn to a place that did sedated grooming. They wanted to try a groom without, before sedating him. Not sure how, but they have the magic touch. He still hates being groomed (he's very old), but they haven't needed to sedate him and he always looks adorable. So glad I found them. They are more than worth the drive for us.

I found Chenal Valley through a Google search, attracted by its proximity and a 4.5-star rating. Our pup only needed shots. Our first visit cost nearly $200 with a $90 office visit fee. However, the experience wasn't as pleasant as expected – the front desk lacked warmth and the whole atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The use of spray cheese as dog treats didn't sit well with me.While the vet was okay, I sensed a lack of deep knowledge. When our dog injured his leg, my husband suggested trying elsewhere. That's when we made the switch to Pleasant Valley. The difference was striking – warmth, welcoming staff, and a more reasonable approach to pet care costs. Check out my Google review on them and you'll see how a vet experience can be truly different and amazing. I highly recommend Pleasant Valley over Chenal, considering the latter's high costs without corresponding quality of care. :/

Girls at the front desk were very sweet, groomer came and spoke to me about the way I wanted my babies haircut and the drop off process was very easy. Will bring my baby back for her next haircut if I'm still in Arkansas when the time comes again. Thank you so much

Used to love this vet. However, today I brought my cat in for a quick check. I noticed he had some dry patches on his ears. Turns out it’s just dermatitis and was prescribed an ointment. I was there for maybe 10 minutes and they charged me $200. The ointment they gave me is $10 on chewy - Chenal charged me $40. They swabbed his ears and checked for mites (I was charged $60 for that). It’s laughable honestly. I literally went to the ER last week, had an X-ray and EKG and I was charged less (without insurance to boot). Seems like now they’re in the business of gouging peoples pockets. Definitely am looking to switch vets. If you’re considering this vet, I would research more fair clinics first.

I had taken my Yorkie to a couple of places and they had a hard time with grooming her. One of them suggested Chenal Valley Animal Hospital and Holly was able to get her groomed with no problem. I will be taking my Yorkie there for all needs going forward!

Chenal Valley was able to get me in yesterday on a panicked whim after a cancellation at another clinic. They and Dr. Kline were the only clinic in central Arkansas willing to see my (non poisonous) poison dart frog.Dr. Kline was an amazingly experienced and well informed exotics vet. Her previous experience with not only amp 3amphibians, gave me the comfort and reassurance needed to care for something as fragile as a dart frog. All of the technicians and front end staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. This was my first visit to Chenal Valley AH and I am very impressed.Attached is a photo of my little guy before his injury, and I am confident with Dr. Kline’s help he will return to his previous bright and beautiful self.Edit: 30 Aug - another reason for me to shout this clinic from the rooftops. Dr. Kline and staff were able to nearly cure a whites tree frog of a Sparganosis infection, which is almost always lethal for the frog. 5 weeks of constant monitoring and medication later, she is happy and healthy. I cannot express my gratitude enough for this clinic. I attached another photo of my big lady :)

Been a client for years but today it took me six calls to finally get a hold of someone because my cat has a severe health issue and needs to get seen quickly. When I finally got a hold of someone, the person sounded miserable and didn’t even look up my cat’s records. I’ve had enough of this and am switching vets.

From the front desk to the vet (I think? She didn't introduce herself), everything felt rushed. For the prices this clinic charges, I'd hope to at least ask questions and get to know my new vet - especially since my dog has multiple health problems. It was (1) take your pet to the back and hopefully she was vaccinated right, (2) "everything is negative", and (3) here's your bill. I learned more about what happened to my dog from the receipt than the vet. I think I'll go elsewhere. So different from how it used to be. :(

Young and nice staff, a little inexperienced and needs more training and better coaching in customer service. They are trying to do the best they can, one less star for lack of management oversight.

I loved this clinic - Dr. Kline, Kendal, and Kathy are the sweetest and care so much about my baby. Now... it's different. Kathy is still there but everyone else has gone. Chenal feels more like a corporation - running behind, rushed appointment, high bill, rushed out.

Dr. Ashlyn Taylor gave my dog the wrong vaccine shot. Jana, the office manager, stated "I will talk to Dr. Ashlyn Taylor who was out with the flu and call you back" Jana never did call back. This place sucks!

I don’t have enough good words for the character of the people at this vet. They put animals first. They helped me with a rescue having no prior experience with me as a customer. Dr. Kline, Kennedy, and the rest of the staff go above and beyond for animals, and it should be recognized with highest regard. 11/10 would recommend.

I really debated writing a review, but the more I thought about my dog's vet appointment at Chenal Valley Animal Hospital yesterday, the more frustrated I became. It was our first time to this vet, after moving to Little Rock. I made the appointment for an annual exam over the phone and everything seemed fine. When we arrived a few days later, it seemed as if the receptionist could not find our appointment in their system. I would have been happy to reschedule if she had just told me that's what happened. Instead, we were shown into an exam room and waited about 10 minutes for a vet to join us, take a 30 second look at my dog, then take her to the back and administer vaccines. As a new client, I had expected to have a conversation with the vet about my dog's prior history, and current health, which would involve getting her teeth checked, heart listened, etc, and then go over the specific vaccines she needed for that visit. None of that happened, and once my dog was brought back to me after her vaccines, we were shuffled to the front desk and told that our bill would be a whopping $277. The real issue came up when I asked to see a receipt for the services rendered. I found out that my dog had been given a rabies vaccine even though her records (that I gave to the receptionist prior to the appointment), clearly indicated she was not due for that vaccine for another year. I asked the receptionist about this and she went to the back to speak to the vet. When she returned she said, "Your dog did NOT receive the rabies vaccine, that was just a licensing fee for the city so she has a tag to prove she's vaccinated." I thought that was odd since we already had a tag at home that was good for another year. I continued to look at my receipt confused, because there were clearly two charges listed: one for the licensing fee and one for the actual vaccine. I asked again what the two charges meant and she completely changed her answer and said, "Well actually your dog DID receive the rabies vaccine today, but the vet said it wouldn't hurt her." I left in a confused daze and it wasn't until I was driving home that it sunk in that the receptionist had lied to my face, and I can only hope that the vet in the back did not advise her to do so. The unnecessary vaccine and licensing fee cost an extra $67, an expense I should not have paid for another year. I feel like all of this could have been avoided if they had just rescheduled my appointment for a time when the staff and vet would have been more available and attentive to their client and patient.

The minute we walked in the door, we knew this would be the animal hospital we would choose for our eight week old baby Yorkie!! The front office is inviting being clean and smelling good! The receptionists are friendly and helpful! The vet assistant knowledgeable and thoughtful! Then, Dr. Sadler spends time with us discussing food, shots, and everything we needed to know for our precious baby. She showed us that she cares by loving our pet!! I’m so grateful for Chenal Animal Hospital!!

I felt a little short changed. Nurse checked over my pet; then took her away for shots. Nurse returned with pet and the doctor. Doctor said pet was doing fine and we were done. Disappointed. I would like to be present when doctor checks my pet. I don’t like feeling that the doctor rushed things.

I wanted to give a huge shoutout to Lauren and Stephanie for being the most kind and patient with my rescue pup. Both were so reassuring and willing to do whatever is needed to make him feel safe, and Lauren has been able to build incredible trust with him. They could have turned him away but chose to work with him instead, and I am so grateful and excited to continue building progress!

I cannot begin to wrap my head around a $576 beak/nail trim. I’ve had these birds for over a decade and have been to numerous vets for the same service. Not once have I paid more than $120 for ALL FOUR. I could understand if a full exam and blood work was included but it wasn’t. Their weights were not even recorded. It is absolutely absurd and robbery. Although, I do think the staff is extremely kind and I love the vet as well. Kindness doesn’t make up for robbery with ZERO logic behind it. They should tell you upfront that it costs $99 per exotic just to walk in the door.

Terrible communication. The doctors do not know how to call their clients back to communicate problem solving for the clients fur baby or at least let a technician call the owners and relay messages to them. I will never go back to this place. It has been 5 days and I still have not received a call back to answer my questions about the next steps for my fur baby. I really don’t leave reviews like this but I am so terribly unhappy and my fur baby is still not doing well. I worked in a vet clinic for a few years and I have never heard of a doctor NOT calling a client back after 2 days at the MOST.They performed a dental procedure on my rabbit on 10/18 and did not have a proper tool to complete the dental. They still charged me full price minus the bloodwork charge and said if it didn’t stop his drooling to call back and they would complete the dental at only the cost of the medications needed to finish the dental procedure. I obliged with the idea even though I really didn’t agree with being charged full price for a procedure that was not completed. ( I will pay whatever I need to to make sure my babies are taken care of and this post is not even about the money. ) He started drooling again 9 or 10 days after the dental procedure so I called them on 10/31 to inform them of what was happening and get instructions for the next steps, they said the doctor would call me back and let me know what to do. It is now 11/4 and I have not heard back from Dr. Kline, even after calling them again a few times through this week. I was also told by one of the receptionists that Dr. Kline left early one day that week.Be careful who you take your babies to. This was my second visit to this facility with my rabbit and it will be my last.

Our regular vet was booked for the day, and Chenal Valley was able to work us in on very short notice when our dog’s issue seemed to worsen. Once we arrived, the staff were very gentle and patient with our dog, who is often anxious and was also dealing with physical discomfort. Dr. Kline was also very kind and explained the treatment plan in a very clear way, and our dog is already feeling better. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for veterinary care.

They wanted to charge $400 to get my dog neutered, so I went to my old vet all the way in Morrilton because they only charged $170. I’m sure there are other reputable vets in the area that would also charge a fraction of the price.

Lauren grooms our two Persian cats and we could not be more pleased. Maddie and Meg always look great after their grooming appointment. Our girls have their routine exams at Chenal Valley too. We highly recommend them!

Jessi was Titan groomer and he’s normally uneasy about getting his paws clipped, she was so pleasant when introduced to us, Titan is a Rottweiler when I take him to other groomers he has to be sedated which is extra and I don’t like him being sedated Jessi said I’ll try first and if we do I’ll call. Well she’s the best didn’t get a call.I picked him up he was clean and happy. Chenal Valley employees are great, from the front to the back. Thanks for taking good care of my baby.

Our dog gets seen by the team here not only for veterinarian visits but for grooming too. They always do a great job at handling her. They have a drop-off option that saves us tons of time, and we just pick her up after work.

This is by far the worst vet clinic I have ever been to. It spans over the course of the past year and we are officially moving on from this clinic. To start, they have over charged us several times for vaccinations that our dogs did not need. Secondly, my dog caught kennel cough from this location, which caused us to have to take our dog to an emergency clinic (chenal had no time to treat the dog that got infected at their location) which was a substantial bill (about $400).Most recently brought my dog in, had blood work done ($300) and was told I would have results within 24 hours. After 4 days I called the vet and was told a vet would return my call. It has since been 2 weeks. Called again, was told my call would be returned as again, no one there was able to help.I am asking for reimbursement, not even interested in their diagnosis at this point and will take my 3 babies somewhere where pet patients are actually valued.Would not recommend to anyone.
