I love this place so much! The atmosphere is charming, the service is friendly and helpful with recommendations, and the food is absolutely phenomenal. Sam has taken great care of me both times I've been in. My first visit I got the surfboard special (beautiful and scrumptious, but I forgot to take a picture since I just couldn't wait to dig in). This time, I got the chicken tacos, and while I have eaten a LOT of tacos from a lot of different places, I'd easily say these were the BEST tacos I've ever had. My daughter got the everything sandwich with a side of spinach cheese dip and chips, and she said it was all delicious. Make sure you leave room for dessert or take some to go with you, all are homemade and absolutely heavenly. This place is definitely a gem, and I'm so glad I found it!

The place was full of charm and people.The service was wonderful- as it stays busy they run a well oiled restaurant.Everything was enjoyable from the meal to the drinks to coffee and dessert!

Great location and atmosphere, very authentic without being rustic.Parking lot fills up at peak time so carpool if you can.Service was prompt and personable without being bothersome.Was impressed with the “chopped brisket” tacos, which have large chunks of barbecued brisket very similar to burn ends, which I love.They are particularly known as one of the few locations in the area that serves alcohol during meals, and locals rave about their weekend only dinner ribeyes, which are excellent.They are not joking about not making any accommodations for special requests so now that before you go if you have any strong preferences or dietary restrictions.I walked up the stone steps to the gift shop, which had a very nice selection of random hipster type items to choose from but I did not find anything related to the local area, which is what I was looking for.Doesn’t exactly match the balance of local authenticity and taste that the restaurant achieves.Well, definitely go out of my way to visit here again if possible!

We stopped here on a road trip to Texas. We ordered the Basil Parmesan chicken sandwich on the recommendation of another person eating there. We were so happy with our meal. It was delicious. The only reason it was not a 5 star was they had their air conditioner to low for me to be comfortable. We would definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

This place comes highly recommended by my mother!So I was running in for a late lunch. By late I mean 2:50!The staff was very friendly and helpful. French onion soup was homemade and has a very rich flavor. Walnut salad was fresh, grilled chicken was cooked perfectly and was very moist, candied walnuts and crasins added just enough sweetness. I can’t wait to go back and try something different when I have more time.By the way the cakes looked amazing but I didn’t have the time to stay and try one.

This place was great! Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. The cafe offered indoor and outdoor seating and the atmosphere is really inviting. The food was delicious and all seemed so fresh. Most of the menu items seemed to be healthy choices. They also offer a wide variety of beers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be making another stop when I’m in the area!

Made the 90 mile round trip on my motorcycle today and was rained on heavily most of the way. The destination was so nice and food so good, I’d do it again in the rain. This place is a real gem. Will be back. 5⭐️

It's hard to type a review for this place because I don't know where to start. The atmosphere is adorable, vintage decor all around. The food was some of the best food I have ever had. It was an experience. If you're a true foodie, you would drive to this town just to eat here. The place was clean, the staff was kind. Geez Louise, if you don't come here, you're crazy. We will be back!

One of the best kept secrets in North Central Arkansas. If your looking for atmosphere "got it", gracious service with a smile "got it", food that is worth driving 50 miles for "got it", and deserts that your whole family will love "got it". Yes, this little dining spot will also become your favorite destination for a "date nite" or " family dining". You want be disappointed......6 stars or more.

Excellent comfort food. Great reason to make a stop in Leslie. Had heard that the owners had spent time in Austin for culinary training so we added it to our Arkansas trip - and were very glad we did. Club sandwich on locally baked sourdough was outstanding! Salads with house dressing were great and don't skip the deserts - amazing!

I was lucky enough to try the portobello and red onion grilled cheese on the last day of the fall menu. It was the best grilled cheese I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches. Plus, I've got a gorgeous piece of chocolate cake waiting for me later.The meal was fantastic, and the town itself has a great vibe. I'll be back for sure!

OMG!I have traveled near and far, finally stopped here at Skylark Cafe. Let me just say; "WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!"Dinner was Steak Ribeye med/rare with beaten mash potatoes, and green beans from a garden. YES; A garden look, feel, and taste.Dessert was a Fresh Off the Vine Strawberry Pie and I melted in my seat as I felt my childhood overtake my mind and sight.These folks know what they are doing people!!

Who knew that this quaint gourmet restaurant was just off the path ? Worth planning around a meal here. Roger and I were on our way home from Branson and randomly selected to stop and get lunch at this cafe. We were thrilled from the delicious savory tortillas soup to our hot sandwiches, topped off by hot coconut pecan pie.
