Owner was very nice and accommodating. Went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable on short notice. Charming room, good location. We stayed here overnight on our trip to the crystal mines. The rooms were cozy and Laura at the front desk was super nice, really great with my kids, gave me some good pointers on crystal mining and good places to eat. We slept extremely well as the rooms were nice and dark and no roudy people around. I definitely reccomend this Inn for families or anyone needing a good night's rest away from home.

I did not care for this place. The 30 year old air conditioner in our room was extremely loud. To the point you couldn't have a conversation with someone on the same bed. The smell was of the room was noxious as well. Like someone dumped a whole bottle of cleaning product or bug spray in the carpet. It never went away either, even after trying to air the room out. I opted to sit outside much of the stay, as the fumes in the room were making me sick. Everything there was very outdated and stained. The pool was also closed and green with algae. Lots of junk scattered around the property as well. I really wasn't expecting much from this place as it was cheap, and i've stayed in some pretty bad motels too, but I honestly wouldn't stay here for free.

This motel was exactly what we needed. The location was perfect, it was inexpensive, and tidy. The room had two full size beds, a coffee maker, a TV, an air conditioner, and an attached bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. The bathroom had clean towels, toilet paper, soap, and a hair dryer. The water for the shower was nice and hot. This isn't really a complaint because it's a matter of personal preference but the pillows are indeed flat like another reviewer stated. If you prefer a fuller pillow, take your own. The man working the counter, I forget his name but I think it started with a J, was extremely pleasant and friendly.Overall, great experience and we'll be back next year.

We came down from KC to crystal hunt the local mines and booked a room here. The room was clean, well maintained and the A/C worked great. Had wi-fi in the rooms as well. The hotel is quiet and is close to places to eat and even a grocery store. The pool was closed while we were there but the weather was decent. Would have gave a 5 star if pool was up and running. Still I would come back.

This is a no frills hotel like it says. The room was VERY clean. The beds were very comfortable. The owner was GREAT and sooo friendly. They have chairs outside the doors. It was nice sitting outside in the morning with a cup of coffee and listen to the birds. The owner-Adam is very knowledgeable about the area and answered all of our questions. Our only negative was the pillows. They were very flat. We did go down and buy a couple from the dollar store!! If you need big pillows you may want to bring your own. Everything else was great.Nearby activities: We were there to go to the crystal mines. We went to 4 of them. They all had their plus and minuses. We brought our 11 year old grandson. He had so much fun!!Food & drinks: The food around Mt Ida and Hot Springs area is expensive.

If you want posh keep looking. This place was perfect. The rooms are clean. The people were super nice. Beds were comfortable. There was a microwave and refrigerator with a working freezer(!) in the room also. And they very nicely prepared your coffe filter so you just had to add water and enjoy. Located in the middle of everything. And the rock collection there was 😳 huge and so cool for all us rock hounds! Will definately go back as soon as we can!

I was on a long motorcycle ride and not really planning my stops at all. I found myself in an area of Arkansas without a bunch of hotels. I called from 30 minutes away and confirmed availability and the owner had everything ready for me when I pulled up. Nicest guy I’ve met the whole trip! Room takes you back in time for sure, but it’s clean, comfortable, and has everything you need for a good night’s sleep. It gave me a lot of good memories of simpler times traveling with my parents.

We lucked into this place on our way back home. Clean room, owners extremely helpful and accomadating! Quiet and good location. Not fancy and has some age on it, but clean and everything works. Way better and cleaner than the chain motel the night before. The owners told us about quartz crystal mining and we spent the next morning at one of the mines. Great fun!

This a great little spot to stay. The rooms were nice and clean, the owners are extremely kind and attentive, and I found it to be quiet and inviting. There is no smoking in the rooms, so any smokers will be outside, but I didn't come across any during my stay. This may be anecdotal, but I also found all the fellow patrons here to be quite kind as well. My stay here was very peaceful. I hope yours will be too.

When we pulled into this place, the grounds were not mowed and had not been kept well. The pool that I asked about via phone and was told it was clean and open was disgusting with green alge and didn't look at at all like like pics on the internet. We decided to find other accommodations. The owners were nice on the phone but the way the grounds and pool looked spoke for the whole place. For that reason we decided not to stay here.

Clean but very dusty/dirty in the corners. The room only had one light which made the room dark. Bed were very hard. Rooms are very noisy as you can hear everything. The neighbors, the cars. It was nice listening to others conversations and at 1:30am listening to people leave their rooms. For this bring a job smoking hotel you get shot if second hands smoke in your room!!! If the neighbors are outside smoking it ALL comes into your room. So DISGUSTING!!! I like my lungs.On the positive though, the people that run the hotel are awesome, the rooms AC works great.I would Not stay again IF I come back to Mount Ida.

If your looking for an affordable place to stay while mining for crystals this is the perfect place. Very reasonably priced and very nice owners. Owners are rock collectors and are very knowledgeable on finding crystals. They even have a rock washing station. Very nice stay, this will be out place to stay on our next trip. Very satisfied!!!!!

5 Stars Means: It’s not perfect, but we were happy to be here!Stayed for the night with my sister and BIL. The folks working in the office were all super friendly and gave us a great rundown of what to look for/expect if we wanted to try crystal mining solo or at one of the dig sites. Excellent variety crystal related gifts in their shop as well!Room was clean (literally smelled like it had just been cleaned before we arrived) and we’ll stocked with towels, hand soap, the usual. Wifi wasn’t the strongest, but that didn’t bother us as we really just needed a place to sleep.There were a few flies in the room on arrival (we quickly shop’s them out), but there was a fly swatter included in the room which had us cracking up. We can appreciate a place that knows what’s it’s problema are and offers a solution for it.Had a wonderful swim in the pool before settling in for the night!Would surely visit again if we find ourselves crystal mining on this side of the country again - thank you for such a warm experience!

I think most people would give a lessor rating, but given that there aren't other places to stay and it's practically in the middle of no where, not bad. Very outdated and cheap, but A for effort. I saw others reviews and I don't get what they were expecting. I would stay again even though. Close to road so there is road noise but again, where else are you gonna stay? We were there for the crystal mines and they weren't far. The bed was super comfy. We were in room 1 the toilet could be bolted down better. Dusting the bed frame and corners of room could be better, the door could be cleaner by the inside door handle, but again I didn't expect much and it did the job. I would stay again if needed.

Great little roadside motel! The rooms are clean, bed is soft, and the owner was very nice and accommodating. I stayed with my family, which included 2 children, and we had a great time. The pool was clean and in good shape. There's nothing bad I could say about our stay.

If you’re looking for a place to stay on your rockhound adventure, or even just to stay on vacation, I absolutely recommend this place! They have all the amenities you need, and prices are extremely reasonable! They even have a rock washing station for those of you whom need to wash off your crystals from the local mines! Well taken care of for the greatest part, clean, and the owner is extremely friendly! <3

Rockhounders heaven - located in the heart of Mount Ida, close to many mines. They offer a rock cleaning station!! They also allowed my dog to stay with us for free.Perfect price point for amenities. I usually camp at Lake Ouachita but for convenience or a quick getaway, this is your ticket to crystal paradise!Nearby activities: Crystal mines

For a "no frills" but comfortable stay this is a good option for people in Mt. Ida for crystal digging. Very affordable and we enjoyed access to the crystal cleaning tables. Very friendly hosts and we would stay again. That said, this place is pretty dated and had some minor issues in our bathroom. (No plug to take a bath, missing knob on the shower so we used a wrench. 🤔) Still, if you just want a clean room for a cheap price, this is it!

Loved this place. The owners were really nice. The room was nice. The only issue is that the county is a dry county, (Boring!!!) 20 miles to get beer. It's the 21st century guys, prohibition is over lol. Y'all are losing lots of money. We will more than likely not be coming back.

My first visit here was in August 2017. I stayed for 2 days and nights. I immediately felt welcome and comfortable as if I was right at home. The room and bathroom where good and for the rates you can’t beat it. The owners are awesome and are great to talk to! They provided lots of helpful information and provided great service throughout my stay. The pool was good as well and provided for a nice relaxing swim. If you are coming to the area to mine for crystals, this place has a wash station outside where you can clean everting off before going home. I wrote this review late but will never forget the first time I stayed. I’m planning a second visit this year in the next month and look forward to staying again.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the room we had. For the price we paid I expect at least a standard room with the normal amenities. What we got was very sub par. The beds were basically two metal cots and were not comfortable at all. The blanket was extremely thin and not enough for how cold the night was. The heater/AC made it either extremely hot or extremely cold. There was no middle ground to the temperature. There was no microwave or mini fridge. The shower was the worst. No plug for a bath missing nobs, and the icing on the cake was a large hole in the ceiling above the shower. They had stuffed a towel into the hole to try and fill in the gap but it was still very obvious and concerning. My wife even made me shine a light up in there to make sure there wasn't any cameras watching the shower. People outside our door smoking all night was not appreciated. The walls are so thin we could hear people talking on both sides of our room. One of them watched TV until 3 in the morning keeping us up all night despite us knocking on their door at midnight asking them to turn down the volume. They told us that they "lived there" and that they don't care because we will be gone in the morning.The staff was friendly. The crystal cleaning tables were appreciated. We will probably stay somewhere else when we come back.
