The lady that orchestrates it is way way too much! My wife and I or rejected by her own hand and my wife and I are Christian loving couple and we treat our cat like he's part of the family and we wanted a dog to do the same and she absolutely would not I understand making sure the animal goes to a proper family I understand that my wife and I are Christians clean respectful honorable people we live in Hot springs village we've been here for years the number for I mean and we've got quite a good reputation and she treated us like we had just got out of the penitentiary so no I'm not happy with that because solely absolute unequivocally done!!! That woman is out of control honestly

First the good things about this place... The volunteers. They are kind hearted, hard working and dedicated. Next come the facilities. This place is spotless!!! I've never been to a kennel that was this incredibly clean and taken care of.Lastly, the rehoming or finding and returning to owners seem to have a good rate.Now the not so good part. I was immediately dismissed as a potential adoptive owner when I told her (S.S.) that even though we (hubby and I) are both retired and spend allot of time outside. We live in a very large parcel of land in the country. We take walks daily with our dog. We provide a fenced shelter at night as well when we can't be outside.None of this mattered when I said the dog would not be inside. When I was asked by (S.S.) if I understand, I said yes... but I do not agree.I don't feel it's right to dismiss a potential home because the people won't keep a dog inside. I guess they feel it's better for an animal to live in a kennel than have a home.

Met a beautiful dog there. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful about the history of the dog and the forward plan for him. I may end up fostering him but overall excellent agency.

What's the point in having a shelter when you denied everyone that doesn't have a big mansion and 6 figure income and a top of the line vet it breaks my heart knowing how many good homes these animals could have went to but instead you want to keep them locked I cages till Mr. Big bucks comes walking in. They purely denied me due to the fact that I don't have vet history well duh I don't my animals never got sick nor did I need to pay someone hundreds of dollars for shot I can buy from Walmart and do them my self.

I can't say enough wonderful things about HSV animal welfare! The facility is spotless and the staff is top notch! I'm a pet sitter in the Village and I've had a lot of interaction with them over the years. I used to foster animals for them before my daughter was born. One of my clients passed away and they found her very large dog a new home in one week. I was impressed and relieved it can be hard to place large dogs in the village but they did it! They are kind and caring. Really sweet people who really do love animals. We're so lucky to have them!

Phenomenal folks there. I adopted my two cats from them and couldn't imagine life without them. They took excellent care of them prior to adoption. They had all their shots and were microchipped. They also gave me vouchers for their booster shots.

My wife and I tried to get a dog and the supervisor made it clear that the animals are first and she would not let us have a dog even though we have a cat currently and we both have dogs in the past we just got married so anyhow she made it clear we had to write down our old vets and she was going to call them and confirm that we used him often it was like going through a major test in college LOL I don't know how to explain it bottom line we left without a dog she was happy I guess that she protected the dog I would be loving on that dog right now if she would have allowed it I'm retired and I'm awesome with people and animals I'll just go somewhere else then poor dogs down there or stuck apparently

I have used this facility many times for their spay and neuter clinics and also have visited the vets they recommend and have always had the best service and they are wonderful people.. there is a question mark concerning the "Vet with a heart." but that is not AWL's fault. They will always have my business and donations.

Really amazing staff (especially Claire Jones!)They were very helpful with explaining the whole quarantine process and even gave me heart meds to take home for my dog which they did not have to do!! I definitely gotta give this place 5 stars! My hat goes off to them! 😁

There is a litter of puppies, their mama, and what I believe to be one of the Males that sired the puppies living under my house. They're all really beautiful puppies and well tempered. I just cant have them under my house and want them to go to the best place possible... that wont kill a baby before it can become someone's best friend.... I just dont have the means to provide for this many animals? Please tell me that I can bring them to you? I want them to have the BEST chance possible.... its 5 a.m. and all I can hear is the puppies crying. Please say you can help them? If I were to bring them to you guys?
