I bring my dogs here to get their nails clipped. The staff are always friendly. The store is always spotless despite having multiple animals roaming the store each day, and they do great with my anxious little puppies.

Nail clip scheduling is ridiculous. They only schedule 6 days in advance and are always full.The prices are also pretty high.Aside from that it's decent with good staff.They are Arkansas bumpkins that can't work a calendar but good people overall.

Best place we've found for dog nail trims - which can be a challenge given how much our dog fights this....The groomer is patient, calm & forgiving; gets the job done, and charges an incredibly price!As for the store as a whole......Very very friendly & knowledgeable staff;Great selection of itemsYou can't go wrong here!!!!!

What a great place! We are traveling and my dog wasn’t eating well. The owner picked out some food she loved! There is a great supply of food, toys, treats and everything else your pet might need! My dog also took a nice bath with all the supplies provided! Can’t say enough about how sweet and knowledgeable the owner is! If you haven’t been there yet go! It’s a gem!

My husband and I are greeted and helped by someone whenever coming in to the store which really appreciate. Whenever talking with any of the employees my husband and I always learn so much about the products that we are purchasing. Our 5 month old puppy Gracie Lee just loves going into the store with us and greeting everyone.......

Everyone at Barkansas is so nice. I went in to get Dukes nails cut and they took us right away. I thought I would just make an appointment but she had a minitue and went ahead and clipped his nails while a was waiting I bought Duke a car seat. They put it together for me and installed it in my car. We will be going back for our puppy needs. 🐶

I feel really guilty! I’ve lived in the Village for a little over two years and I just visited Barkansas Pet Supply for the first time. I could have been patronizing this fantastic store and supporting a local business instead of Amazon or Pet Smart. The owner, Lisa, is incredibly knowledgeable: she knows about everything from harnesses to dog food. And another thing that is really important to me is that virtually everything is made in the US. With so many terrible reports about pet food from other countries killing animals, it’s more important than ever to buy brands that can be trusted. I highly recommend this business!

The woman who owns this small shop is friendly, educated, enthusiastic, supportive, and understanding. Our dogs love their food from the shop, and other items we have found among her many stocked shelves. On my way for more dog food in minutes. Great place for you and your pet.

This is a great place to pick up specialty pet products and to get animal advice. Lisa (the owner) and her staff are super knowledgeable about the items they carry. Their goal is to help you meet your pet's needs (and that doesn't mean selling you the most expensive item). They participate in vendor promotions (like buy 10, get 1 free) and keep track of it for their customers. Great folks always seem to show up when I'm there... Highly recommend.

Lisa and company run maybe the best pet store in the country. Well stocked with friendly, competent people who really have a passion for animals (pets, especially). It isn't the least expensive, but the brands and the service (not to mention the altruistic way they help rehome strays and rescue dogs and cats) is well worth the extra expense.No question....highly recommend.

Instead of dogs being man’s best friend, Lisa (the store owner) is a dog’s best friend. Barkansas has so much options and always has the best quality. Some say it’s a little pricy but just take a look at the quality of what you are getting and that should be explanation enough. Lisa is so knowledgeable and can help you find you are looking for. This is THE place to shop for your pets!

LISA, the owner of Barkansas is the best person I have ever met. I started going there the day they opened. I am so great full I met her. she knows everything and I mean anything about the products she sells and even what's in them! My first pug Gracie loved her toys and her treats and every time I would go in I would always ask if she knew of some one that had a pug or at the humane society, most of the time it was no. I was talking to her about Gracie when she suggested a different diet so I changed her diet to a raw diet ( ground turkey, brown rice, carrots, and green peas with a product called kelp help even if u give them regular food I would add kelp help) Gracie wouldn't eat much until I started cooking for her and added in some kibble call of the wild she then started eating and gaining weight before I started this diet, we had to have cancer removed. Before Barkansas I would go towal-mart. I also went all the way into town to the pet stores I always left empty handed because I want to know what my dog is eating. Finally Barkansas came oh how happy I was!!! first i met her and she gave me trial bags to see what Gracie would eat well since she didn't have many teeth left that's when she told me about the diet up above. why waste your gas money to go into town when we have Barkansas !! no one at the pet stores in town knows what’s in their products. Lisa knows what’s in everything she sells!! As my Gracie was getting older every time I went in I would ask her if she knew anyone that had a pug and low and behold she told me about a male pug at the humane society he’s a rescue I called and went to get him. He had been abandoned left behind a privacy fence luckily someone heard the screams and called the animal control there were other animals there also they left all their pets without food and water in the summer and no shade!! Gracie met him and a couple days later we had to take Gracie to the hospital her cancer was back she was just 2 weeks from being 20yrs old I really think the kelp help and the food that Lisa recommended helped her live a longer life! I wouldn't go to any other pet store Lisa is the best of the best and her products are of the best & highest quality!! If Lisa doesn’t have what ur looking for she will find it and get it. I’m so grateful for Lisa she helped me get and rescue Zeke aka Zekers!!! Every time we go in there’s Lisa with a smile she now has a grooming service her employees are so nice and helpful!! You wont be disappointed!! I will never go anywhere else! We love u Lisa!!!❤️

Great place to go for a product you need that you do not have time to wait for, or need advice from the knowledgeable owner of the store. That said, I have paid way less for harnesses and dog clothing from other sources, and with some planning and auto-ship, food is cheaper from Chewy.

Super friendly exsperience every time we go in! We have 2 dogs right now an older baby and a puppy. They carry everything we need for both! I will say the belly bands have been a lifesaver with potty training and the urinary supplements have really helped build up our pups bladder controll. Our older baby always love to come in for a snack or new toy. He hates the nail trims though even though she is always so gentle and quick.

Barkansas, and staff, always provide the best professional advice for our canine and feline pet care. Lisa, the owner, is dedicated to knowing about her products and the needs of a customer. Lisa is a very compassionate person when it comes to animal welfare and does all she can to find homes for homeless pets through the local animal welfare league. We personally have adopted a Doxie who was abandoned that Lisa fostered. I can't recommend Barkansas high enough for the needs of the Hot Springs Village community. Thank you, Lisa!
