A true American diner. Flat top griddled hamburger steaks and hamburgers. Food is fresh and very good and service is great. The only critique I have is the country fried steak is from frozen, small and processed, and not made fresh, it’s about the only thing on the menu I wouldn’t recommend.

Went with the after church crowd for Sunday at lunch. I know they get slammed so things took a while to get out but that’s OK. The food was good. Typical mom and Pop diner type stuff. We had a standard cheeseburger plus a Hiawassee burger, and some fried okra. we enjoyed our meal.We had service with a smile, which always helps!

Great place to get a burger and fries. Quality meat and sides. The onion rings are excellent and crisply fried in clean oil. Everything is cooked to order and not sitting under a heat lamp. Specials are available and dinners are on the menu. My experience has been good with excellent and friendly customer service. Give it a try.

We walked into the diner and waited for a table. No tables were clean. (Food and drinks were still on every table from previous customers.) One of the staff was standing eating food while another was texting on her phone. We asked for a clean table and yelled at by wait staff. We left the diner and found Sam's Family Diner in Centerton. The breakfast at Sam's was excellent. We ordered the same food as we would in Hiwasse and it was $9.00 cheaper with better service. We will never return to Hiwassee Diner due to the unprofessional staff!

This country gem has not changed in 25 years. Same parking lot, tables, layout, amazing food, service, and prices. If you find yourself in hunger along Hwy. 279, stop in during their available hours. Even now, amid covid, there was no hassle and masks were suggested. The staff wore theirs (as I did). If you have room for dessert, the coconut pie was fantastic; they also offered lemon and chocolate. The coke I ordered even had the requested cherry flavor (not the real deal, but still a grenadine flavor). I can't say enough about this place. Just try it! They had two new dishes posted on the wall: Philly cheesesteak and a Reuben sandwich. Enjoy!

Awesome Diner (locals know it as the Hiwasse Hilton Diner) great home cooked southern food, home made pies, great breakfast 😋 lunch and dinner specials. My party had taco salad , chef salad with chicken strips and I had the famous cheese burger 🍔 . Chicken fried steak is the Sunday special 😋 😍 love this place. I will be back. I love me a good diner and this was definitely that. The food was excellent and it was the best service I have ever had! Our young server had to endure a cheeky, rowdy crowd on a busy Sunday morning and she took it like a champ! It's so refreshing to see capable, personable teenaged servers.

The Hiwasse Hilton is legendary. Haven't been here since I was a kid, and the food is just as good or better than I remember.
