The people there are nice. I wish we could take most of the dogs since they are crowded. The people who helped us are nice and friendly. The place is clean, and the dogs kennels have an opening where they can go outside into their own fenced-in area.

While my son and daughter in law were here over Christmas, They wanted to make a donation of food for the animals ♥️. The staff are all so sweet and friendly and may God bless them in all they do🙏

We have always adopted rescues from this humane society we dropped in today to look into adopting a baby kitten and we where refused saying we needed a appt to see the cats and kittens we were told Mary is protective of her cats. Be it we did look at the Facebook page a website before we drove down there and there was nothing saying this. I am curious why are the cats locked up in the building being protected from adoption but the cats running about the yard are not . What is being hid from the public by denying the public access to the vary thing they support . We will never go back to this facility now I will drive to hot springs before I drive 10 miles to our local facility again. And from the post and reviews I have been reading maybe the management of this facility needs to be changed again.

Had a great experience with Brandy. She was incredibly helpful with showing us dogs that fit specifically we were looking for. I truly can tell she cares for all the animals. Would really recommend asking for her when it comes to searching for a dog.

Very unpleasant experience. Would never take an animal here. Rescued 4 stray dogs and they refused to take. We are from out of town and have no where to keep them. Sad sad facility. Told me to put them in an enclosure but if they get loose we are liable and .its a felony. We have no place to put them

This shelter have lots of beautiful animals. Looking for a new companion, go and check them out.We got our girl dog, @ 7 months ago, she is a puppy and be coming a great dog. She cost us $100, (came with shots, feed her and kept her warm). It was worth the money. They have many animals that need good homes.If you don't need a pet, they can always use donations. They also have a thrift store and the money goes to help feed, shelter and help take care of the pets at the shelter.Sara the President of the shelter has a big heart and good staff to help her.I recommend this place highly and it's a no kill shelter.See their websites for donations ideas.

GREAT place !! All the ones that work there with the dogs you can tell they care about them!!! We did not go there to get a dog!!! But we did!!! We lost two Chihuahuas within seven days apart, lost on 3months before that. We came home with BJ. Not a chihuahua. Still my husband would love to have a little girl chihuahua.I keep telling him no. I tell him we can’t fine one😳 Thank you all that works and takes care of the four legged babies a BIG THANK YOU!!! PS BJ love to come visit 🐕

We love animals, specifically dogs and often foster dogs from here. We know the staff is primarily volunteers and they have a passion and big hearts for these animals. The staff has always been helpful, nice and appreciative to us for what little we've been able to do to help out. I do wish I had time to volunteer to work at the shelter myself, as I believe it could use some more help.I wish I was wealthy enough to where I could quit working and quit school, and just volunteer all of my time at the shelter. The shelter is lacking in some ways and I do wish i could run the place myself, but i always need to check myself and remember that these people are doing their best with the budget and resources they have. The staff needs to be applauded and a big thank you needs to go out to them for doing what they do.

Happy pets looking for a home. They seem to give love to all animals that are dropped off. We have a new puppy and love her. She still has a sister and a mom still there. We wanted them all, but don't have the room. Hope someone takes them soon. Prices requests are very reasonable.

This place is a joke. I need to surrender an animal and no matter when you call they give you the same excuse. 1. They say they've have rabies but there hasn't been cases of rabies in this county for 20 years. 2. They have no room, but my friend that workes there says they're not even half fun. This place needs new management.

The staff was very pleasant. I'm adopting a dog (Charlie) they took him from his cage and he sat in my lap and finely realized I was there to make sure he would be alright. He relaxed and his head settled into my arm. Anxious to have him home, have to wait till Aug 5th and then he will be home with Simon and I. Thank you so much for letting come and be with Chair even during our pandemic. Thanks again.

Such wonderful, caring people working and volunteering. I go here for lots of reasons. Mostly I go here for the comfort that the animals provide for me. It's a great place to go to find your center. And while you pet and play with them, remember that they need to find their forever homes. All help is greatly appreciated by both humans and animals.

There's is one lady in there that is exceptionally rude. We were talking and she got frustrated that I wasn't understanding something, and when i finally understood she shook her head and mumble some obscenities. It's been a bit since then but that's why I haven't come back. I spoke to several people who have been there and they all knew exactly who I was talking about when I said some rude employee.

Nothing but a bunch of rude heartless individuals. Lied about having my dog when I called and asked. Then when my dog's foster parent informed me that they did have her they were zero help and helping me get her back because she'd already been adopted out. She was stolen from me and dropped off in Heber Springs. These people are so rude and mean to me it was Unreal. It blows my mind that they are supposed to be caring individuals when it comes to pets

I had a friend text me wanting to know who could help with 2 puppies she found on the side of the road. She was on her way out of town. Said the pups were in such sad shape and she couldnt c leaving them there. I naturally told her to call Heber Springs Humane society and c if they can and will help. When she arrived at the shelter she was met by a very rude man. He ask her why she even stopped... what kind of question is that? He was unkind in the way he spoke to my friend. Made her feel awful... I can truly believe this. Last Christmas I personally bought twenty 40lb bags of dog food and donated it here. When I arrived with the donation a very rude man met me at the front desk. He showed me where to unload. Now I m a 52 year old woman who can't lift the 40lb bags. I asked if he was going to unload and he very rudely said yea if u can't!! Noone ever contacted me or said thank u or anything. I luv animals and would do anything for them. Mayb someone should look into this employee and the way he interacts with the potential adopters!!!

Staff has really done a great job!! As with any shelter, there is always going to be some animal odors, but it has been minimal each time I have visited!! And Mary's TNR program, I think, is starting to show results!! The more the rest of us give her, monetarily, especially, the more cats can be treated!! Thanks also to Dr Self at Ozark Animal hospital for his help with the TNR program. (Not aware of other veterinarians also help but if they do, thanks to them!!!!)

I have a cat and 3 dogs, all from here. Wouldn't trade them for anything. The staff is absolutely amazing and goes to great lengths to get these pets adopted. The local community and governments need to support this wonderful service more than what it currently does.

cages were large and clean. a couple of smaller animals were paired up in larger cages so they weren't alone. staff seemed very caring...animals seemed loved and we'll cared for. I was impressed.

They took VERY good care of my dog and I was able to get him his 1st round if shots. I thought I had lost him. I called around and they received him.
