Michelle couldn't have been a better host. I would 100% recommend this gorgeous Scandinavian modern-styled cabin in an amazingly beautiful area! The cabin is stocked with every spice, oil, and cooking essentials you could possibly need--just bring in food. There were even s'mores supplies. The cabin itself is super clean/new feeling with conveniences like heated bathroom floors! She thought of dog-friendly details, and live concert DVDs/CDs/boardgames--lots of little extras to make the place feel comfortable. The covered deck was beautiful for watching bluebirds and woodpeckers as we had morning coffee. The property is lovely, private, and extremely close to all kinds of great hiking opportunities in the Buffalo River area. There was a scheduling inconvenience and Michelle more than made it up to us with excellent communication, a free night, and a surprise gift waiting for us in the cabin. If you're even thinking of booking, do it! I can't say enough good things. Make sure you hike the Indian Rockhead trail--it was so cool!

We have stayed in this cabin and bunk house twice with a group of work friends. We have had a blast both times. I want to say that this year that I encountered a flat tire. I messaged and immediately had help to air it up and not from road side service. We love staying there and will be back again. Thank you Boo . Thank you Michelle for allowing us to stay. Also want to mention Crockett’s for picking us up and taking us to the float the river. Back to the cabin safely.

"Location, location, location!" So runs the famous real estate phrase we're all familiar with . . . and that's why we chose Buffalo River Retreat. Nestled in the woods a couple of miles from the Buffalo River in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas and surrounded by state parks, national parks, wildlife refuges and almost too many hiking trails to count, it's a secluded cabin, not one of a group of cabins as so many rentals are.Although listed as a cabin, it's really a one-bedroom house equipped with everything anyone might need, including more and newer appliances than we have at home. That meant that we had the best of both worlds; we were surrounded by nothing but trees, wild flowers, sky, birds, butterflies, trails, streams and waterfalls, but at the end of a hike we could come back to the cabin, clean up and relax in comfort. The cabin also has a bunkhouse as nice as the cabin, that sleeps another five or six people.It's a magical place to stay.

This is a beautiful cabin. Lots of natural light and beautiful scenery. Cabin has more essentials than you could ever need. The bed is super comfortable. Close to the river for fishing or canoeing. Scheduling was super easy. Michelle went above and beyond to meet our needs. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. We will definitely be going back soon.

An amazing cabin in a great location! Exactly as relaxing, clean, and beautiful as in photos, with all of the comforts of home. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Host was easy to reach and accommodating. Right down the road to multiple access points on the Buffalo River. Well stocked with amenities, supplies, and treats. Very private and safe with well-maintained road access. A great bargain for a woodland retreat.

“What a pretty spot. The dogwood outside the deck was a perfect bonus! The location was quiet and beautiful, the interior is just as the pictures describe, even better in person. It was very well organized, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped. We needed for nothing. Michelle and Caroline were extremely helpful and easy to reach. We would highly recommend this little cabin in the woods.”

The best place for a relaxing and fun getaway. The cabin is so beautiful and every thing you can think of is provided for you if needed. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the back deck and slept great in a comfy bed. Will be going back again and again.

This place is above and beyond what I expected. Well organized and equipped with just about any kitchen utensil or personal item you might need down to pony tail holders. It's always the little touches that I appreciate when being away from home. Host/owners are very easy to deal with and very responsive to messages. Will definitely be back. Beautifully relaxing weekend get away.

Michelle and Caroline are the absolute best to work with. The cabin is in a quiet secluded area. The cabin is AMAZING, has everything you need! I have been there twice and plan to go back soon!
