Don't often buy bread in the DG was needed a loaf so go in to find had very limited supply, regardless picked up a loaf of Nature's Own labeled at $3.10.Got to register & it rang up for $3.50,told the cashier that Hardy must have a hefty tax on food.So she after scanning it & I paid for it went & looked & sure enough was $3.10.So went back to the register to get what was owed me.Well guess what can't give me my .30 back because it was a vendor purchase,I said what.Well folks look at the prices of things before you purchase cause you won't be getting your money back.Not be shopping there anymore.The manager could have gave me the .30 out of her pocket & got reimbursed from the vendor.I know .30 is not a big deal but if they do that to everyone just think how much more their making.Stuff's high enough now & $3.60 for 1-loaf of bread is totally crazy.

This location treats their employees like garbage, some of the employees are rude not a store to shop at or work for.

Courteous and helpful employees as always, that are constantly working hard in the store and behind the counter. If you stand in one place longer than a couple of minutes...an employee always comes to help you find your needs, even if they must stop everything and take you to the other side of the store

Nice variety. Pretty much everything I need between trips to the grocery store. Even have the main refrigerated and frozen things you need. Quite a bit of empty space lately, but nothing I'm looking for. Usually easy in easy out.

So helpful for an old woman that has difficulty walking. If the checkout line is long, they bring me a chair.

A woman named Carrie and the hardy dollar general was the rudest women I have ever met in my life! She yelled at my 8 yr old daughter and my daughter cried and doesn't ever want to go back in that store again! I used to love shopping at the store in hardy bc it's closer to me but I will be making the extra trip to Highland from now on!

As far as Dollar General stores go this is one of the better ones. Its usually clean, organized, and well stocked. The staff are helpful and friendly. I shop there a lot.

Can get almost whatever you're looking for. I always ask where the item is, or i spend too much time trying to find it....and buy things I didn't go in for.

Had to wait 20 minutes just to get down the Christmas isle just because some women buying up cart loads of stuff when all I needed was 2 boxes of ornaments to decorate my little kids tree.
