We've used their shuttle services for years. The staff is always super helpful and friendly and our vehicle has always been safe and secure upon our return. Highly recommend giving them a call if you plan to float or camp on the Buffalo NR!The General Store is a cool place to checkout also!

My wife and I did a 4 mile canoe trip down the Buffalo river. The trip started out amazing, but about an hour into our trip down stream, we got caught in a severe thunderstorm. With nowhere to shelter from the rain and lightning, we flipped our canoe over on a sand bar and sat underneath it for about an hour. When the rain let up we continued down river to our stopping point. Even though the storm caught us by surprise, we had a fantastic time on the river. The staff at Buffalo Camping and Canoeing were very accommodating, and made our trip worth every penny. I would highly recommend using Buffalo Camping and Canoeing for your outdoor canoeing experience. The water was crystal clear, the sites are amazing along the river, and the wildlife is abundant. My wife really enjoyed seeing all the fish swimming along side our canoe. We had a truly memorable experience and can't wait to return.

It's an nice campground, they pick up trash daily. The only real draw back is that it's so far from the river, you don't want yo walk it. That said we had a great time.

The people who own this establishment are always super friendly and outgoing, and so are the ladies and gents who work here! They have good food during the summer and the general store is so adorable. They also have private parking across from their store, so you don’t have to worry about someone messing with your vehicle while you float, and they offer shuttle services which doesn’t include someone else driving your personal vehicle. If you are looking for a place to start your family-friendly Buffalo adventure, this is the place you want to go with!

We took the 6 mile float. Many fun places to stop and explore along the way. On the day we went, the water level on the river was low, and at two points we needed to drag our kayaks a short distance. Overall we had a ton of fun.

Myself and a large group rented canoes from this facility and they were incredible! We had a couple last minute hiccups on our end and the staff at BC&C were extremely accommodating. Not to mention the river itself was an AWESOME paddle trip. Will undoubtedly be looking for the next good chance to come back & rent from them again!! Also their bus (shuttle) driver was clearly a very experienced truck driver. I’ve been on some sketchy canoe shuttle school bus rides and this was the first one where I wasn’t even slightly concerned for my life :)

River Cabin 6- mouse dropping all over kitchen (among dishes, mugs, on microwave and coffee filters)and bathroom sink, floor and tub. Upstairs really hot to sleep and wifi spotty, didn't work half the time. Great location but not quite worth the price. May have to try a new place next year

We just floated the river but walked by several cabins along the way. Super cute itty bitty "town" with tons of outdoor fun. Grabbed some cool merch from the Gilbert General store whilst there to commemorate my first ever/successful canoe trip 👌

Great trip! Everyone was helpful and friendly! The water was fine, had to get out a few times but we loved our trip. The price was one of the most reasonable and liked that we didn’t have to wait to get picked up when done.

We floated the Buffalo River from Tyler Bend to Gilbert on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. The staff at Buffalo Camping and Canoeing inside Gilbert General Store were very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed shuttling to the beginning of our float and being able to finish our float where our car was parked. We did a day trip, but they also have lodging options.

This is simply a beautiful place and a nostalgic way to spend your vacation. I always thoroughly enjoy my time here and love how relaxed I am when leaving. The staff and workers here go the extra mile to make you feel at home and comfortable. The cabins are adorable and comfortable. Everything is so clean and maintained. It’s a hidden gem that people need to come see to believe. You won’t be disappointed!

Have been camping at the Gilbert camp site for many many years. They are very customer friendly and the campsite is always clean. Very nice restrooms and showers on the campgrounds.

Awesome staff and exceptionally friendly service. The personal vehicle shuttle was great, our driver knowledgable and courteous, the river was amazing and everything was as promised. The campground is quaint and quiet. The only issue we had was with the 30 amp power having some polarity / bad ground issues. We notified the manager and he seemed thankful and concerned. He promised to have it repaired. Just check it with a good surge protector before plugging in. I would highly reccomend this place and their services. I can't say enough about how amazing the people were. Service / friendliness is top notch!

This is our favorite place in the Ozarks! We love the location-closest place to the river that we have found.The log cabins are super cute and just a short walk to the river. Big Ben and Zach are awesome! We will be back soon!!!

Great staff. We booked last minute and they were able to fit us in last second even though they were very busy. Great scenic route with a view sharp turns here and there. 7 mile float went by pretty fast.

I had a really good time here! There is quite a lot of attractions here and it is fun to swim and discover other things! We watched someone play instruments and we went swimming and floating! Overall 10/10!

This place has the WORST customer service. The owner isn’t very customer oriented, they really only care about the money. I’ve been a patron for years and it’s just gone downhill, it’s expensive and they are very rude. There are some great locations who work really hard for the customers that I would highly recommend over this location like the Buffalo Outdoor Center, Buffalo River Canoes, and Lost Valley Canoe and Lodging. We will never use this place again.

Took our Scout troop down the Buffalo, planned to go from Gilbert to Shipps Landing, and obtained shuttle services from Buffalo Camping and Canoeing for one vehicle.. Was promised to move our vehicle on the day before our proposed landing, and coordinated with the staff some contingency plans due to recent flooding. We ended up stuck on the river at a campsite, and started communicating with Buffalo Camping and Canoeing.Well, they had moved our vehicle three days before our agreed moving time.Asking about a solution, since they had messed this up, they offered no solution and left us stranded.Crocketts rescued us, and earned all of my future business. I highly suggest using them, instead of Buffalo Camping and Canoeing.

Kayak trip was AWESOME very friendly counter girl and the guys who picked us up and dropped us off. Campground a bit primitive 30amp and water all was ok. Shower house was dirty mens shower looked like sasquatch took a shower in there last. Sites are hard to get level. Both my girlfriend and I swear they said there was a dump station can't find one no signs stating one. This could be our fault.

rented an canoe from Ben last minute during November and he was awesome. He is genuinely happy guy and he gave us a great trip up to the put in while making sure we knew the little bits of info on how to navigate the river and what to watch out for.

Gilbert is beautiful and Buffalo Camping & Canoeing makes floating the Buffalo river so nice because your trip ends with pulling your canoe up on to the bank and then walking up the hill to your cabin!

Many places to camp for free along the Buffalo River with a Vault Toilet and camping area. Great place to relax for the weekend with family and friends! I would highly recommend it.
