So NOT worth the drive, time, or money! Had reservations for 6. Earlier in the evening and it wasn't crowded when we got there. We were seated right away and service was ok, however, I didn't like how dark it is in there. We used our phone flashlights to see the menu. If a restaurant doesn't want you to see the food it must be bad and we should have left then...Anyways it took 45 mins to get our food after ordering. AND 2 of the orders of fish was cold! That and the fact everyone's was completely tasteless is what really did it for me. I also wanted a to go order and the waitress said she'd get it later so it'd be ready right before we leave. I eventually had to order it with another waitress because I guess ours forgot. We were about done eating and she said it'd be 10mins. Another 20mins later and we were still waiting!Finally got the food and ticket so went to the front to pay. When asked how our food was I told her our experience and all she said was "I'm sorry about that". I paid over a $100 to wait forever and eat crappy food and they're not even worried about it.So save the drive and go to The Flying Burger. Their fish usually has seasoning/taste and always served hot. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Have loved Doc's for years now. The food and service are always so good. And I love the atmosphere with all the vintage decor.Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats available. Not sure about high chairs, but possibly. They do have a kid's menu also.

Awesome place to visit. All you can eat Fish & Shrimp was so good. Best Hushpuppies. Great Coleslaw. Best Beans and Tomato Relish. Yummy. You definitely need to give them a try. Ask for Chloe. She is the sweetest Server

I've been 3 times and I really want it to be good, but it's just not. The steak has zero flavor, just need salt and pepper, fries are soggy, jumbo shrimp are mealy. Boiled shrimp have decent flavor, but they are tiny and over cooked. For $20/person I would expect more.Whole catfish and catfish fillets are the only thing I would go back for.Service is decent, just not real friendly.

This is what catfish are supposed to taste like.They were so good I couldn't stop eating.Everything from the hush puppies and baked potato and pickled green tomatoes.Really a great place to get catfish and shrimp.We can't wait to go back.

Oh boy very disappointed. The food was awful. Fish was greasy and fatty Boiled shrimp was sooo bad had salty taste and no other seasoning rubbery and dry. Couldn’t eat them and the only ones we did try wouldn’t peel easily. Fried shrimp was greasy and mushy. Will not be eating there again and for the price you expect edible food. It’s was sad when you walk out of the restaurant and other customers are saying the same things I just said. I just thought it was us getting bad food. I was wrong. Was a great place to eat but wow not anymore.

Fish was good, not great. We got a lot of "fishy" tasting fish. The slaw is to die for however. It's the entire reason for driving over an hour to eat here! Hush puppies are also good. Fried shrimp is a little bland. I would still highly recommend eating here.Edit: We went back this past weekend for a birthday celebration, and though the food took a while to get to the table, it was absolutely worth it! Slaw was amazing (as always), fish was hot and delicious, boiled shrimp were perfect, and our waitress was awesome! We understood the wait, because they were very busy. Even Doc was having to come take a shift!

Had a late supper at Doc's Place with my handsome husband the other night. 💜It was delicious like always....I still call the restaurant Ham's bout half the time ! Their fish is the best ever.... and that dressing for the coleslaw, y'all know what I'm talking about 😉Everything they serve is wonderful and the service is awesome, the ambiance relaxing ~ It's always been a fun time, for at least forty years !! Off and on...

Love this place. Great people and better food. Love it. We are regulars. It's my favorite restaurant. Definitely would try this if you like it all. Steak to seafood. Doc has it all. Fantastic Food and Awesome service..

The food was great. Service was too. I think the only improvement I could recommend is the lighting. It is very dim in this place. It takes your eyes a few minutes to adjust and then it is still not very bright inside. Very tasty food though. The fish and shrimp are great.

That was the absolute best catfish fillets I've EVER eaten and I've ate allot of catfish! The service was great love that atmosphere! We would definitely be back going to try the steak next time
