They could be more helpful with heavy bags of feed. Other feed stores I use are happy to load it for you. That's my only beef.In response to your question about what feed I was indeed talking about dog food. I have a very bad back and trying to pick up a 50 lb bag is very strenuous. Not once have either of the employees I've dealt with offered to handle the bag for me. Also getting indignant about an honest review doesn't help matters.

There are three feed stores in my area. The Weatherford bros are the least expensive. They have a good selection and even have bulk discounts. The feed has not caused my chickens any issues. If my chickens get fussy about eating it, I wait a day or two and they eventually eat it all. I will say this, before using their layer mash, my chickens would not lay. Now that I am using the layer mash, they are laying like all-stars. I will not switch because FINALLY, I have chickens laying eggs.

My neighbor had been telling me to try Weatherford considering we normally drive twice as far to Hirsch's feed. My neighbor had also told me her hens would not eat the layer feed. Without putt 2 and 2 together we went and bought 8 bags of food (3 layer) after seeing 80 chickens ignore the pellets it all made sense, I called Weatherford and explained the situation and told him the 3 bags were combined in metal garbage can. He told me unapologetically that if the feed was out of the bag there was nothing he would do ( how dumb can you be)? If he is shady like this I wonder if the feed he sold me for my cattle and horse is safe.the sa
