In response to Douglas Knight :Sir ,I know these people personally and nothing you have written is true … you could actually be sued for slander … you have never spoken to the owners ,nor have you ever stayed at the campgrounds … the owners love kids , and I’m pretty sure that’s why there is a playground , a recreational center, a volleyball net ,and lots of handing out candy …as far as the easement , there are documents showing that you or any other neighbor do not have an easement ( be happy to show you ), and I’m sorry that’s an inconvenience for you , but they have to keep the campground safe and can not allow just anyone to roam thru the campground …and no there isn’t four wheelers or golf carts allowed because people are here to enjoy a quiet time of camping , if you want that activity, then go to cloud 9…the owners love this place and their work reflects that … shame on you for spreading false rumors , just to try and gain something … but I’ll pray for you ..Update: In regards to Douglas Knight , once again … I would be happy to show you the court ordered papers , can you please show me your factual paperwork ?

i'm. Sorry if u don't want to hear the truth. I am not fabricating anything. This is all factual. Information but I will retract what I said before because I think my.messsge was heard. It's a beautiful place that's right on the river. I'm sorry if it has offended anyone. I just think if the truth we're out there then maybe some change in attitude would happen. Especially towards neighbors. I'm sorry. This is one of my favorite places on the river and it has had a lot of upgrades on the property. It's well worth the stay. I think if u read on u may find others that have said similar things about the campground.

We love this campground for many reasons. It is located between two historical bridges right on the White river. The scenery alone is worth the stay, but then add world class trout fishing. Incredible to find a full hookup site right on the river. The staff is amazing and working hard to keep the grounds well manicured. Super pet friendly with stations around the park for disposal of bags. Wifi worked great for us on those nights when it rained. The local people went out of their way to help people be successful catching trout. This is our new home when in Cotter!

Stayed a week here right on the river with full hook ups! Absolutely beautiful! Easy in & out with our 44ft 5th wheel. Didn’t utilize laundry/bathrooms/rec room, as we had family in the area. Great for walking dogs. Great views of the river & bridges. There’s a train bridge, but only rolls through once a day, with a short train when we were there. Horn blows before it crosses over. Very friendly owner. We will definitely be back!!

the location was pretty great. right by the river and 2 bridges. We were pretty shocked though when a train went blaring its horn by our tent at 9pm. Bathrooms themselves werent horrible but the showers had mold all over the place. We were also super excited for the rec room on our down time. We attempted to go check it out a few times but the office doesnt open til NOON on the weekends and the room was closed by 6pm when we tried again after our daily activities. So I dont really see the point of this room if its always locked.

First let me say I have never written a bad review on any business. This campground is located in the perfect setting to be a world class destination. We love the view of the river and both historical bridges in Cotter. Now for the bad. The owners are not good at working with the public. They have numerous rules that won’t accommodate or allow for people to just relax and have a good time. For example, they have a rec room but wouldn’t allow my kids to play in it even though my 22 y/o son was with them. Why boast about an amenity and not allow people to enjoy it? Our dog barked when he saw the kids playing and the owner confronted us about it while other dogs were barking throughout the campground. This one took the cake, NO RUGS! Really, no camp rugs. We just purchased a large rug and was looking forward to using it but upon arrival they stated no rugs. Boooo! Serious rv people know what I’m talking about here. We like our rugs. Lastly, we arrived a bit before check in time and I was charged $15 to check in early. I have never been charged for early check in anywhere else.WRC— if you keep taking the things people love about camping away, they will no longer want to stay at your location! The Blue Herron is just up the river and we absolutely love it there. You should go check it out and talk to the guests to see why they love it there too.The sad thing is you have a great advantage with the premium location and views. Y’all just have the wrong approach.Good luck!

I really enjoyed my stay at one of the riverside spots. The view of the river with the railroad bridge and the old Cotter bridge was fantastic, especially in the morning with the sunrise and fog. There's not access to the river from each individual site, the bank is steep and looks hard to mow, but I believe the new owners are actively working to improve access. For now, there's an excellent floating dock that gives good access for casting in various water flows, and a nice hidden rocky bank by the railroad bridge (that's especially nice when the river isn't at full flow). The location is also just a couple minutes away from a lot of access points.I didn't talk with the owners during my stay as I was either fishing or sleeping, but they were helpful and friendly over email in advance of my trip.I'm looking forward to coming back, this is a lovely spot!

The Park was being improved so I have no reference to past conditions. I could see they were trying to clean it up. I was placed close to bathrooms so I could shower there. The best bathroom was locked so it was not useable. Two in the lower part were very dirty and mold was evident all around the shower. I was told Hot water was shut off because people were using too much if it and it was too costly. So we washed our cloths in cold water. I went in to shower and one bathroom left on upper level was ok. Not cleaned daily but OK. two days later I went for shower and there was no hot water. I was allowed to use the best bathroom and it was in good shape. Later the shower in #2 was out of water. I was told to shower in the Moldy showers and I could not use the best bathroom. I complained and was told they would not help by opening #1 best bathroom. Not sure but $ may be the issue. I was told I should use my RV shower and was not deserving theirs. Also the internet was not working. I had to use my hot spot.Overall it appeared to me that the owners are not people to seek to please anyone else but selves. It may be an $ issue and they are stretched. In time they may work it out but for now they are not really friendly. I was asked to leave when I was upset and posted a #2. It was raining hard and they told me they would call the police in one hour if I did not leave. I have been traveling for 3 yrs and this was the most negative experience I have experienced.

It is with great honor I write this review. I’ve been going to the White River Campground for several years, and let me tell you about the new owners, Michael and Shelley. First, in just one year, they have significantly improved operations, maintenance, and, most importantly, customer service. As I’ve gotten to know Michael and Shelley, it’s obvious that they not only care about running a business, but they equally care about building relationships, which says a lot about their character; a BIG win in my book. They are stand-up people who do their best to give you the best camping experience on the White River. Thanks, Michael and Shelley, for all your hard work improving the camping experience and, more importantly, your friendship.I am looking forward to seeing you again.

Just happened upon this cute park because of the day we had experienced. It was not on our original plans but very glad we found it! New owners are doing a great job. Lots of sites right on the river. A play ground for the kids, covered picnic area, laundry, lots of running around room for the kiddos. We arrived late but the owner accommodated us for the night....so glad he did as it made a very relaxing quite ending to a very rough day! Thank you so much!

Such a beautiful area! Nice quiet campground, with full hookups, wifi, and cable. Loved that they had a fenced in dog run and playground. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is they were not renting canoes/kayaks,like previous year and their web page still shows a pool and catfish pond, the pool is not open and was told it was closed for years and the catfish pond is drained. A trash hook would be nice and a heads up the flies were horrible.

Been traveling the US in our camper and this is one of our favorites campgrounds! Sites were roomy and level. The fishing was excellent and there are easy trails for strolling nearby. The owners, Mike and Shelly are so sweet and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

What a hidden gem. We had a beautiful few days at White River. It’s hard to beat this campground’s location on the best stretch of the river. We were fortunate enough to have a riverside spot and boy let me tell you, the wide open level campsites were a true treat. This campground has so much to offer and I couldn’t recommend it enough if you find yourself near Flippin, Arkansas. The big wins for me are: riverside views, massive laundry room, and the spacious campsites.

Second time staying at the White River Campground, first time was a year ago in a upper level pull through. Some of the same issues mentioned here were an issue then. This time we had a pull through site one row off from the river. Very scenic location for this campground but the facility needs some help on the road in that needs to have more gravel and the same for the RV spots. The lower level restroom/bathhouse was closed and locked up, out of service. I will say that the staff does a great job on keeping the park clean and neat. But we will not be using this park again in the future.

I absolutely love it here. The outside area is very well kept and the cabin I stayed in was pristine. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and the location was great. There are many hiking trails in the area, including many fishing spots right in the park.

This place is a gem! The owner I met was extremely helpful and went out if his way to accommodate my family. He really went above and beyond. All of the staff was very polite, and helpful. The modern kiosk at the store, wifi, and ability to bill purchases to the site was refreshing! The grounds were very well maintained. This is a gorgeous place. There is a small dock for boat access and a small place by the tent camping area to fish on shore. That being said, lack of direct river access would be my only minor complaint. Just across the river is a park with river access so it's not a big deal. I took my class A 40ft RV and had no trouble getting in and out of my site. They even have a place adjacent to sites to park trailers, boats, vehicles, etc. to keep them out of the way while camping. All in all this is my favorite camp site to date. We will be back and I recommend you check it out!

Awesome camp ground. The staff was super friendly and responsive. We stayed in the bunkhouse which is highly reccomended. The restrooms are cleaned daily. The view of the river is amazing and they offer a fishing dock/boat slip. The office sells bait/ice/kayak shuttles. Will try and plan another trip!

We spent a couple nights here last week. The campgrounds is right on the river between the Cotter Bridges, a beautiful setting! Pride of ownership is obvious as the grounds are very well kept. The owners were super nice to work with. Will stay here again no doubt!

This place was a great place a year ago. It was sold and the new owner's don't keep it up to the same level as the owners from the last two years.Shower houses are not as clean as they used to be. There has been no response for the past two days and they have not mowed, grass is getting to the annoying level we're it rubs your ankles. Prices are higher than they used to be and nothing new.Sad, as this used to be our favorite campground down here on the White River.

A fine place to camp along the White River. Just across the river from the town of Cotter, situated between the Cotter Highway bridge and the ancient railroad bridge you find the camp grounds. Many sites on are the banks of the White River with fine views of the water. We parked toward the middle of the bank side slots and the morning views up and down the fog laden river at first light was magical. The fishing is fantastic, we went out with a guide and caught well over 100 trout. Our arms tired from the excitement! Everything went very well with the facilities and boat dock. Guides meet you at the docks. Good lady running the place. Good for families too. Caught three very large German Brown trout that pulled like trains!
