So thankful I was able to get my kitty into this clinic. We’d spent all day at a different clinic after my kitty ate part of a silicone lid. They quoted me an insane amount to do surgery and actually suggested Wedington Animal Hospital for a better price. Wedington got us in same day at 8pm, doctor was very nice, understanding and knowledgeable. We took new x-rays and they decided it was best to remove the silicone that night. Surgery went extremely well and my kitty was able to come home 24 hours later, not to mention for a fraction of the cost. Staff was great when I called within the first hour of bringing her home after having issues with the cone she had to wear. I was able to go back and get a different cone which has made a world of difference! So far very pleased with the staff and doctors. Great place to go for emergencies or every day care.

I have two large mixed breed dogs who are 5 and 6 years. Dr Amie Hanson and staff at Wedington Animal Hospital provide exceptional care for my pups! We have received the very best care and attention with such love and compassion in crossing the rainbow bridge for my precious 17 year old rescue to bringing in new babes and nurturing them with me. They provide amazing hours of coverage so as to accommodate pet owners and to make sure our babes get the care they need. The staff are always attentive and so helpful in getting appointments arranged, assessments and treatments initiated, prescriptions filled, insurance info provided and always in a very timely manner. We are grateful indeed!

I have been to a couple different vets and Wedington Animal Hospital is the best! Everyone there is very compassionate and very helpful. I had a sick kitty that had to stay a few days. They updated me day and night and took great care of him! He is back to his normal self and i am forever grateful. Highly recommended! Billions of stars and purrs givin to these great people. We loved Dr. Rolland and Caden! They were both so affectionate and caring for our dog and gave her the kind of care that we have been looking for out of a vet. I would highly recommend both of them to anyone.The one thing I was not pleased about was that we waited in our exam room for about 25 minutes before we were seen by anyone.

My dog was seen over the weekend for an injury that ended up being a broken toe. They treated her (and her humans) with the utmost kindness and care. The next 2 days were very scary as she developed GI issues. After I called them stressed and worried, they gave us instructions over the phone and she is already improving.Their reassurance and caring attitude, even through the airwaves, is unmatched by any other care facility in the area.

Staff at Wedington Animal Hospital were very accommodating, kind, and helpful when we brought in our sick pup! The vets explained everything clearly & listened to our concerns, & the staff were all around very welcoming. The environment was noticeably clean as well. I am so grateful for Wedington Animal Hospital because so few clinics have doctors that specialize in exotics, and even fewer have the right equipment to treat rabbits. Dr. Erby has been wonderful to my beloved pet rabbit, Poe. She does thorough examinations and takes the time to understand my concerns about my rabbit. It's a relief when you know that your fur baby is in capable and compassionate hands.

Brought my Frenchie Bella Rose Garcia there to be seen due to chemical burn on bottom neck or allergies and was seen by Doctor Rowlins I will bring her back love doctor Rowlins she is so wonderful and very friendly made me feel very comfortable best doctor vet by far and will continue using her. Good job Doctor Rowlins you're amazing and wonderful ❤️

Very friendly staff & got us back to a room quickly but the only thing was we waited 30 minutes in the room…now for someone with an anxious animal that could be torture but we were fine. The vet herself was amazing so it was a positive experience.

A part of me feels guilty writing this because I feel like part of the staff are very kind and intelligent folks, but this place is the epitome of veterinary medicine morphing into a capitalist venture. Since when did owning pets become more expensive than having children? I've taken my dogs here for the last few years and have had a handful of problems but nothing too crazy to make me want to switch vets. Today really took the cake and sealed the deal as to why I'm never taking my animals back here and I recommend you find another vet in the area. Their office is located near a lot of farms, therefore I assume they get farmers coming in. I took my chicken in because she was egg bound and was hoping that the vet could digitally remove the egg or provide her with some sort of relief that I couldn't do at home. She comes back and hands me an estimate for approximately $800. I think there is something mentally unstable about a person who hands you a bill for that amount of money for a chicken. I realize that chickens are people's pets and they are my pets also, but at the same time I wanted to go in the waiting room and ask the staff and the vet herself if she's eating chicken today or plans to. When I talk to her and told her that I would just go home and put the bird down myself she treated me like I was a murderer. Lady, there are people starving in the street and people who don't have health care. There are human beings struggling to pay rent and to send their kids to school. Pets are important but this is a chicken. I went initially to get my chicken treated and I thought it would be around $100 for them to give it their best effort and that was honestly going above and beyond. But WOW. Don't go here unless you plan to spend a minimum of $300 and leave with not that great results. There are other more affordable vets in the area and these people should really take note of that.

I went in with my dog, Duck, yesterday. He is very scared of the vet and I had a hard time getting him unglued from the parking lot trying to get him in and a wonderful tech helped me bring him inside. Once we got inside everyone was super quick to comfort him and get us in an exam room extremely quickly. The vet and her tech were so kind to my dog and I! They were great communicators and listeners. They went above and beyond for me and Duck! We’ve previously only came here for emergencies and they were great, yesterday was a wellness exam and it was the best experience!

All the staff are very kind and professional! Convenient hours and opened on weekends. Our animals are getting older and we have had to let go of 2 dogs and a cat this year. A very hard decision to make as you can imagine. All the vets, assistants, techs, and clerical staff are so supportive and kind. What a difficult job you all have but my husband and I are grateful.

The vet and nurse were amazing and polite. We had a rabbit that was not using his his back legs. It was an emergency call and expected to pay more but to pay over 400 dollars to find out we needed tonput the bunny down I thought was expensive. The way they charged was ridiculous as well. They charged 2 different charges to my card then had 2 small credits. I get vets are expensive but I believe I was overcharged and will find another vet.

Dr. Draney is incredible with my 2 pups! She did a great job on both their dentals and a mass removal surgery. The office staff is very kind and professional as well, and the building is always clean. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! One of my dogs was sick and needed to be seen, on a weekend. I took a chance and called them. Even though my dog was a completely new patient to them, they saw us, and did a full work up, including labs and an X-ray to make sure my dog didn’t have an obstruction, and they took care of me, while I was teary eyed. They could’ve written me, or my dog, off but they took the time to care, even though we were new and for a full work up, without pet insurance, they charged me a very reasonable amount. Since then, I established care with them, and took my puppy for all of her puppy shots/visits. They’re always excited to see my dogs and comment on them being Rhodesian Ridgebacks. We’ve seen Dr. Draney, Dr. Wright, Dr. Rolland, and Dr. Hickman. I have to say that Dr. Wright has been my favorite, but Dr. Draney and Dr. Rolland are tied for a close second. We also boarded both of our dogs with them for a night away, and they were well taken care of - for less than 100 dollars for two large breed dogs. I really love this place for veterinary care.

All of the staff was very nice and helpful. We took our 6 week old puppy in for a check up and everyone was great. We got her checked out and they got us some medicine for a parasite she had. We have another appointment in 3 weeks and this will be our puppy’s permanent vet hospital!

Our pup used to go to wedington for annual wellness visits/vaccines. Recently our dog suddenly became sick, collapsing with walking. We took him to a sick visit, diagnosed with arthritis based off of hip movement. We were sent home with an anti inflammatory medication and options for treatment to think about with most expensive option being $100/month. Our pup over the next week got worse, so we took him back. They did an x-ray and diagnosed with heart failure. They then gave us a pill that is $100/month for treatment. Our pup got better but we were worried about long term cost of this life-long medication. As a pharmacist, I did my research and read vet guidelines for canine treatment and found there was an option to treat my pup for $9/month. I called the office 4 times trying to speak to the vet about this alternative to see if it was appropriate for our dog. When no return call, my husband stopped by the clinic in person to ask to speak to a vet. No vet was available to speak with him so a return call was promised. That evening the manager called (not a vet) to report the expensive medication prescribed was the ONLY medication available to treat my dog. They said I could present to the vet for a refill at my convenience or find an online retailer if I preferred. We took our dog to another vet office for a second opinion. I am happy to report that my dog is himself again, and on a medication that is about $6/month. Thank goodness for access to veterinarian guidelines and medical experience. The people are nice here, but I prefer to take my dog somewhere that is honest and presents all options.

I love Wedington Animal Hospital. Their care is always amazing. I would not trust my two dogs with anyone else. I was away with my husband on a trip in Washington and our pet sitter had to bring one of dogs to the vet ON the weekend. They stayed in contact with us the whole time our dog was in observation; even though we were in different time zones. They also let us pay our bill after we got back home. We love this facility and recommend them to all our friends and family members with pets.

Wedington staff have ALWAYS made my family, 2- and 4-legs alike, feel welcome. Whether that's sitting on the floor where our pup is more comfy, or making sure not to sneak up on or spook my blind cat, they care. We even had vet staff work hard to make sure we got the most affordable surgery rate, worked with our CareCredit card, and answered all of our questions. I wish I could give them all the funding they deserve and more, but I can at least give them my patronage.

This place is the best. We took our dog here for years, and always loved it. But little did we know that they are so much more than an ordinary vet's office.If you are shipping or traveling with an animal anytime soon, this place is INCREDIBLE. We were shipping a dog from the United States to Thailand. Because of ignorance on the part of our shipping company, our dog ended up trapped in Germany. The Amanda and the rest of the kind staff at Weddington Animal Hospital pulled out all the stops for us. They were incredibly helpful in the entire process and worked so hard to provide us with the paperwork we needed for our dog to be reunited with us.Not only that, but they knew more than our shipping company about transporting a dog in the first place. The paperwork our dog was missing was paperwork that they had tried to give us in the first place, but our shipping company told us we wouldn't need. Unfortunately, we trusted our shipping company. Big mistake.Seriously, if you're thinking about traveling with a dog internationally, I HIGHLY recommend this place. Listen to their advice, no matter what your shipping company says. They really know what they're doing here.And beside all that, they are the most friendly, loving people you could hope to have care for your pet. We really are so thankful for this place!

Feel like the vet Hanson didn't do her job .she was supposed to remove my dogs saliva gland but chose to do a biopsy stitch him back up he's a tiny Chihuahua cannot do to many surgeriesShe sent the first sample blood sample from the enlarged gland to m a pathology it came back with instructions to remove. Well she chose to do a biopsy nearly 800 Dollars. The gland is still there all swollen dog on pain pills prednisone were very disappointed

There was a slight mess up with when the appointment was scheduled but they worked my kitty in within no time at all. We never had to wait long for any assistance and the vets were extremely thorough, even got a 2nd. opinion just to make sure. They explained every detail of what was wrong with my kitty, explained all of my options making sure I understood. So two thumbs up from me.
